The holiday home advertised here is a roof-only house (Finn cabin). It offers enough space and comfort for max. 4 persons. The living space is approx. 45 m² on two levels. On the lower level is the living room (one sofa bed) with TV (DVB-T2) and radio, also a bathroom and kitchen with coffee machine, toaster, refrigerator, ceramic hob, microwave and grill. Upstairs there are two bedrooms for one and two persons respectively. Due to the construction, the stairs upstairs are relatively steep and narrow. The cabin is heated by gas central heating. On the covered terrace you will find garden furniture and a barbecue. Pets are welcome in the cabin.

Location and surroundings of object

We rent out two holiday bungalows on separate waterfront properties of approximately 300 square meters each. Each property has its own boat and bathing dock. The properties are separately fenced and located on a private road. Our two holiday homes are situated in the far southeast of Berlin, in the midst of the Mark Brandenburg forest and lake landscape. From here you can explore both Berlin and the beautiful nature of this region, also by bicycle or boat. From here you can easily reach the Spreewald, the city of Potsdam with its sights, and numerous other excursion destinations in Brandenburg and Berlin.

So that you are also mobile on the water, we cooperate with a nearby boat rental "BOOT4ALL". As our guests, you receive a 10% discount on the entire offer there.

As of 2014, the state of Berlin has introduced an overnight tax of 5%, which we as landlords have to collect in addition to our rental price and pay to the tax office. The prices include bed linen and towels; We charge a service fee (for cleaning, water, sewage, electricity and rubbish) 70,00 € . For pets we charge 20,00 € once per stay. We ask for a deposit of 300,00 € per week when booking. Bicycles cost 10,00 € per day.

Holiday with dog in the Finnish hut

We would like to thank the Behrens family again for the wonderful week in the Finnish cottage by the lake.
We had everything we needed.
The direct access to the lake with its own boat dock, where you can experience beautiful sunsets, is of course one of the highlights.
We were able to do many trips with our dog, whether on foot in the forest, by the lake or by boat.
We are already looking forward to next time.

A wonderful place

Our family (three children + dog) spent a short holiday in this great Finn cottage. Despite one extra person, we had enough space and time to relax. Beautiful sunsets by the lake helped us to recharge our batteries. The children could move around freely and the surrounding area was just beautiful. We spent one day boating on the lake and this was also a great experience. The equipment in the cottage is very well thought out, nothing is missing. The bed linen/towels smell delicious and you feel right at home. Our dog could run free as everything is fenced in. There are also sun loungers + umbrella. You don't need more to just relax. We will definitely be back!

Great holiday accommodation

We would like to thank the Behrens family for a wonderful week's holiday in the Finnhütte am See! The location at the lake with direct access to the water is brilliant and our grandson was able to let off steam in the water. We liked it very much and were completely satisfied and will definitely be back!
Many greetings to the Behrens family and to the parents in the neighbourhood, with whom my husband had very nice conversations.

The jetty at the lake was the best! The equipment of the Finnish hut was old, dirty, and inadequate. The pull-out sofas from GDR times are worn out, and the pillows should not be seen without a cover. Overpriced, only the jetty at the lake compensates for the inadequate equipment of the Finnish hut.

wir bedauern sehr, dass Sie mit der Finnhütte nicht zufrieden waren. Schade, dass Sie erst 7 Monate nach Ihrem Aufenthalt bei uns Ihre Kritik äußern. Da wir auf dem Grundstück wohnen und uns bei unseren Gästen auch immer erkundigen, ob alles in Ordnung ist, so wie wir es auch bei Ihnen bzw. Ihrem Mann getan haben, wäre jederzeit Gelegenheit gewesen, eventuell aufgetretene Mängel anzusprechen. Da eine Reinigungsfirma unsere Häuser pflegt, ist es uns wichtig, dass wir auf Unsauberkeiten unmittelbar hingewiesen werden. Bezüglich der Sofas möchten wir anmerken, dass diese bei Weitem nicht aus DDR- Zeiten stammen, sondern von uns neu für die Finnhütte angeschafft wurden. Das Bettzeug und die Bettwäsche wird regelmäßig von uns erneuert. Im Interesse aller privaten Ferienhausvermieter würden wir Sie bitten, zukünftig das direkte und sachliche Gespräch mit den Vermietern zu suchen.

Dream holiday on the Berlin-Brandenburg Lake District

So, once again I had a 14-day dream holiday, and only 80 km from home. As I wrote last year, this place is the perfect place for people who want nature, peace and quiet, but also want to be close to the city, to simply unwind, no ifs, ands or buts. Even the rain we had was no problem, as the Finnhütte has a very large canopy, so the damp hours didn't bother us. Just like last year, we had nice neighbours again. Of course, first and foremost, the families who have their permanent residence there and the neighbours from the holiday home next door, who also came from the vicinity and hereby send them our warmest greetings and thank you for allowing us to spend a very nice time with you and for being so patient with our little son Richard, who asked you a lot of questions (P.S. - unfortunately not all of them have been answered yet). It was nice to take the Behrens family's rental boat (daily rate: 60 euros - unbeatable price) for a short trip around the lakes and then take another rental boat (many rental companies in the vicinity) for a longer trip. There you can discover New Venice, the small and large Müggelsee, Köpenick and much more. It's an Eldorado for cruisers, sailors and for those who want to really step on the gas with their boat. Yes, the jetty or rather the platform that belongs to the property, well, what can you say about that. It would be best to pack it up and take it home, but that's not possible. Sitting there, you have the feeling you are sitting in the lake, is simply beautiful, whether in the early morning or at sunset. Our big Bernese mountain dog was also very welcome again and that is also a criterion that we have booked again for 2022, where we hope to see our nice neighbours from Berlin Köpenick again, because this also led to this wonderful holiday.

Holiday in the Finn Cottage

We would like to thank the Behrens family for a wonderful week's holiday in the Finnhütte am See! The Finnhütte is equipped with everything you need. The location on the lake with direct water access is brilliant. My husband was able to live out his fishing hobby from early in the morning until the evening! We also explored the beautiful area from the water with our boat. Since the property is enclosed, our dog could move freely. We were completely satisfied and will definitely be back!
Many greetings to the Behrens family (including the chickens) and to the parents in the neighbourhood, with whom we had very nice conversations.

A dreamy idyll at the gates of Berlin

My family (4+1 Bernese mountain dogs) spent the best holiday of our lives with our hosts. Not only the location of the property, but the entire environment was perfect from front to back. This cottage is very spacious and even in bad weather, the canopy of the cottage offers the possibility to enjoy beautiful hours on the terrace with a great view of the lake. The furnishings and equipment have recently been modernised, so that you can spend nice days together with your family even when the temperatures are cool. The equipment for a Finn cottage is perfectly adequate, even for completely single parents with children. The shopping facilities range from a "Rewe" to a "Netto", both of which can be reached in a 10-minute drive. Furthermore, walks and bicycle tours in the adjacent forest are very relaxing due to the quiet location. The people of the adjacent bungalows were very friendly towards us holidaymakers. Due to the location there is no through traffic and one can completely relax from the exhausting working year. The property is completely fenced in and therefore perfect for holidaymakers with small children or even a dog. The walkway over the footbridge through the dreamlike reed belt to the lake platform is very wide and safe due to a strong wooden construction. On the very large lake platform (approx. 4 metres x 3 metres) with a strong railing and stairs into the lake, you have a fantastic view of the huge lake and it invites you to linger forever. The peace and quiet, the sunset, the very good water quality, the healthy reed belt, the wide view etc. are simply perfect. Another offer from our hosts was that you can rent a motorboat for 4 people (licence-free - complete with life jackets). We thank our hosts for our wonderful holiday and look forward to next year.

No fair price-performance ratio

We were there for the second time, our issues from August 2019 were in no way rectified, for example, the cable from the bedside lamp was still defective, so as guests with a child, we had to unplug it.
As the first guests after Corona, the Finnish hut was in a very dirty condition. The inventory (e.g. grill, cushions) should be renewed.
The GDR charm is not a problem if the holiday home is pleasant and clean.
The location is perfect.

mit Überraschung haben wir Ihre Bewertung gelesen. Wir sind immer bemüht, dass unsere Gäste einen schönen und erholsamen Urlaub bei uns verbringen. Dafür spricht, dass inzwischen mehr als 60 % unserer Gäste Stammgäste sind. Manche kommen sogar 2 oder 3 mal im Jahr.
Seit letzten Jahr konnten wir eine neue Reinigungsfirma verpflichten, die sehr zuverlässig und gründlich arbeitet. Bisher gab es keine Beanstandungen, im Gegenteil!
Wegen Corona setzen wir in diesem Jahr noch zusätzlich ein Flächendesinfektionsmittel ein.
Da wir in unmittelbarer Nähe unserer Ferienhäuser wohnen, stehen wir jederzeit gern zur Verfügung, falls etwas nicht in Ordnung ist. Wenn möglich stellen wir den Mangel ab oder bessern nach. Wir sind uns während Ihres Aufenthalt mehrfach begegnet. Mit keinem Wort haben Sie erwähnt, dass etwas nicht in Ordnung ist.
Das Ferienhaus wurde zwar zu DDR-Zeiten gebaut, allerdings wurde die Einrichtung, das Bad und die Küche von uns komplett erneuert. Das Haus hat neue Fenster, ein neues Dach und eine Zentralheizung erhalten. Außerdem haben wir Boden, Wände und Decken isoliert.
Wir bedauern sehr, dass Sie mit Ihrem Urlaub bei uns nicht zufrieden waren. Vielleicht hat der ausgebliebene Angelerfolg und das durchwachsene Wetter auch dazu beigetragen?! Daran können wir jedoch leider nichts ändern ;-)
Wir wünschen Ihnen von Herzen, dass Sie zukünftig ein Ferienobjekt finden, dass Ihren Anforderungen und Ihren Preisvorstellungen entspricht.

Our favorite place for 16 years

This Finnish cottage has an incredibly charming flair in an idyllic, tranquil location right on Lake Zeuthen with its own boat dock, and yet so close to our capital. It doesn't get any better!
So many dreamy evenings grilling on the boat dock at sunset, so many beautiful outings with the dogs around the peninsula, or with the available bicycles, or in the past with the children in numerous nearby Berlin leisure activities. We also often rented the available boat for great tours.
There are several swimming options, either on your own property at the boat dock, or several small beaches around the peninsula that are within walking distance. However, we mainly use our own dock.
Even our youngest vacation in the middle of winter (possible since the heating system was modernized) gave us a unique experience on New Year's Eve, with a fantastic view of fireworks all around the lake. For the entire 16 years, we were always warmly welcomed by the landlords and always felt well taken care of.

Traumurlaub an der Berliner-Brandenburgischen Seenplatte 2021-06-26

So, und mal wieder 14 Tage Traumurlaub gehabt und das nur 80 Km von zu Hause entfernt. Wie ich schon letztes Jahr geschrieben habe, ist dieser Ort für Menschen, die Natur, Ruhe, aber auch dicht an der City sein wollen, der perfekte Ort, um einfach mal die Seele baumeln zu lassen, ohne wenn und aber. Selbst der Regen, den wir hatten, war kein Problem, da die Finnhütte über ein sehr großes Vordach verfügt, so das uns die feuchten Stunden, nicht gestört haben. So wie letztes Jahr, hatten wir wieder nette Nachbarn. Natürlich in erster Linie, die Familien die dort Ihren festen Wohnsitz haben und die Nachbarn aus dem Ferienhaus nebenan, die ebenfalls aus der Nähe kamen und diese hiermit herzlich grüßen und uns bedanken dafür, dass wir mit Ihnen eine sehr schöne Zeit verbringen dürften und Sie soviel Geduld mit unserem kleinen Sohn Richard hatten, der Ihnen riesige Löcher in den Bauch gefragt hat (P.S.-leider noch nicht alle beantwortet). Schön war es mal wieder, mit dem Mietboot der Familie Behrens (Tagespreis: 60 Euro-Preis unschlagbar), eine kleine Runde über die Seen zu fahren und dann mit einem anderen Mietboot (viele Verleiher in der Nähe), eine große Runde zu machen. Dort kann man Neu Venedig, den kleinen und großen Müggelsee, Köpenick und vieles mehr entdecken. Es ist ein Eldorado für Cruiser, Segler und für die, die mit dem Boot mal richtig Gas geben wollen. Ja, der Steg oder besser die Plattform die zu dem Anwesen gehören, ja was soll man dazu sagen. Am besten einpacken und mit nach Hause nehmen, aber geht ja nicht. Dort zu sitzen, man hat das Gefühl man sitzt im See, ist einfach nur schön, ob am frühen Morgen oder beim Sonnenuntergang. Auch unser großer Berner Sennenhund, war wieder gern gesehen und das ist auch ein Kriterium, dass wir für 2022 wieder gebucht haben, wo wir hoffentlich unsere netten Nachbarn, aus Berlin Köpenick wiedersehen, weil auch dies zu diesem wunderbarem Urlaub geführt hat. Taumhafte Idylle vor den Toren Berlins 2020-07-25

Meine Familie (4+1 Berner Sennenhund) verbrachten wohl den schönsten Urlaub unseres Lebens bei unseren Gastgebern. Nicht nur die Lage des Objektes, sondern das komplette Umfeld passte von vorne bis hinten. Diese Finnhütte ist sehr geräumig und bietet auch bei schlechtem Wetter durch das hervorgezogene Vordach der Hütte, die Möglichkeit auf der Terrasse schöne Stunden mit einem tollen Blick auf den See zu genießen. Die Einrichtung/Ausstattung wurde vor kurzem weiter modernisiert, so das man auch bei kühlen Temperaturen schöne Tage zusammen mit der Familie verbringen kann. Die Ausstattung für eine Finnhütte ist vollkommen ausreichend, auch für komplett Alleinversorger mit Kindern. Das Einkaufsangebot reicht von einem "Rewe" bis zum "Netto", die beide in 10 Minuten Autofahrt zu erreichen sind. Weiter sind Spaziergänge und Fahrradtouren im angrenzenden Wald durch die ruhige Lage sehr erholsam. Die Leute der angrenzenden Bungalows waren uns Urlaubern gegenüber sehr freundlich. Durch die Lage gibt es keinen Durchgangsverkehr und man kann sich vollkommen vom anstrengenden Arbeitsjahr erholen. Das Grundstück ist komplett eingezäunt und daher perfekt für Urlauber mit kleinen Kinder oder auch Hund. Der Gang über den Steg durch den traumhaften Schilfgürtel zur Seeplattform ist sehr breit und sicher durch eine starke Holzkonstruktion. Auf der sehr großen Seeplattform (ca.4 Meter x 3 Meter) mit starkem Geländer und Treppe in den See, hat man einen traumhaften Ausblick auf den riesigen See und er ladet einen ein zum ewigen verweilen. Allein die Ruhe, der Sonnenuntergang, die sehr gute Wasserqualität,der gesunde Schilfgürtel, der weite Ausblick usw. ist einfach perfekt. Ein weiteres Angebot unserer Gastgeber war, daß man ein Motorboot für 4 Personen (Führerscheinlos-komplett mit Schwimmwesten) anmieten kann. Wir danken unseren Gastgebern für unseren schönen Urlaub und freuen uns aufs nächste Jahr.
