Cancellation terms:

Cancellation by the tenant: a) The tenant may cancel the rental contract before the start of the rental period by written declaration to the landlord. The point in time when the landlord receives the cancellation notice is decisive. b) If the tenant cancels the rental contract, they must compensate the landlord with a flat rate for the expenses already incurred and for the lost profit as follows: Cancellation up to the 45th day before the start of the rental period: 20% (but at least €25.00). Cancellation up to the 35th day before the start of the rental period: 50%. Thereafter and in case of no-show: 100%. c) The tenant retains the right to prove that no damage occurred or that substantially less damage occurred to the landlord. d) In case of cancellation, the tenant may designate a substitute tenant who is willing to take over the existing contract in their place. The landlord may object to the entry of the third party if they appear economically or personally unreliable. If a third party enters into the rental contract, they and the previous tenant are jointly and severally liable to the landlord for the rent and any additional costs resulting from the entry of the third party. The tenant is advised to take out travel cancellation insurance.
