150 m² feel-good space – for families who need room to breathe
Our family apartment is not that typical holiday apartment where, after 3 days, you feel like you’re getting on each other’s nerves. Here, everyone has their own space. The children play in their corner, the parents enjoy coffee on the balcony, and in the evening everyone sits together at the large dining table – without crowding. 3 bedrooms that really offer space:
1 room with two single beds

1 room with double bed
A living/dining area where everyone feels comfortable:
Cozy parlor with sofa, cable TV, DVD (for rainy days or movie nights)
Large eat-in kitchen with corner bench and extra wide dining table (seats 6+ people, also for board games!)
Modern kitchen with dishwasher, oven, beautiful dishes – and of course raclette & fondue (we are in Switzerland!) ?)
Thoughtful details that make the difference:
Bright play area in the hallway: Kids play, parents have peace – separate, but close!
Spacious bathroom: Double sink (no morning chaos!), shower, bathtub, toilet
Washing machine with dryer: For longer stays – just wash, dry, and carry on
Balcony with mountain view: Morning coffee with a view or an aperitif in the evening
Location:
We are at the end of a cul-de-sac in a green area. No through traffic, no noise – just nature. In front of the house there is a children's playground, our cows graze next door, and the mountains are within reach.
Ski area: 3 minutes on foot
Free ski bus: 2 minutes to the stop
Engelberg train station: 7 minutes on foot
This means: bed linen, towels, final cleaning, parking, Wi-Fi – all included.
You only need to bring yourself.

The Birrenhof team is a traditional mountain farming family. The flats are located in our farmhouse. Renting out the flats and providing services are a mainstay of our farming business. Besides the dairy cows, we also keep 4 Freiberger horses. The horses work in the carriage house Engelberg. Carriage driving is a third mainstay. Visit us and have a look at our additional offer.
