Relax and unwind. Relax in our "Erika" holiday flat in Rees, the oldest town on the Lower Rhine.
Our 72 square metre flat is comfortably furnished and is located on the ground floor of a quiet and well-kept residential complex with free parking.
The bedroom is furnished with a double bed, the spacious living and dining room is cosy with a large sofa, a dining set and a 43'' 4K Ultra HD LED TV. Board games and information material about the Lower Rhine are available for our guests. The bathroom with window has a bathtub and shower and a towel warmer. The kitchen is equipped with a cooker, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, kettle and Senseo machine. You can relax undisturbed on the balcony. Free Wi-Fi with Alexa throughout the flat. Only a few minutes' walk to the Rhine and the historic town wall of Rees.
Rees is the ideal starting point for numerous excursions on the Lower Rhine, e.g. to the Siegfriedstadt Xanten, Moyland Castle in Kalkar, the centuries-old moated castle Schloss Anholt in Isselburg, the Anholter Schweiz biotope wildlife park, the longest suspension bridge in Germany in Emmerich am Rhein, a visit to the weekly market in Dinxperlo in the Netherlands. Take a "Fietstour" (cycle tour) through the beautiful Lower Rhine landscape. The NiederRheinroute cycle route network covers more than 2,000 kilometres and is the longest in Germany.

Our "Erika" holiday flat is located in Rees, just a few minutes' walk from the Rhine and the historic centre of Rees. Rees is the ideal starting point for numerous excursions on the Lower Rhine.

- City of Bocholt with a visit to the textile museum and a walk around the Aasee lake (25 km)
- An excursion with the passenger ship "Stadt Rees"
- Never put into operation as a nuclear power plant, today a leisure park "Wunderland" in Kalkar (12 km)
- Biotope wildlife park "Anholter Schweiz", Isselburg-Anholt (10 km)
- Guided tours with trained experts of the Lower Rhine region
- Swan and district town of Kleve. Also visit the Klever Reichswald, the largest contiguous public state forest in NRW with an area of 5,100 ha
- Shop till you drop: Visit Europe's largest shopping centre, the Westfield CentrO in Oberhausen (60 km)
-Northwest Europe's largest place of pilgrimage, Kevelaer, with around 1 million visitors per year (29 km)
- Arnhem (NL) (57 km) and the fascinating Burgers Zoo
- Canoe trip on the Niers, Goch (24 km).
- Ride on the Grensland draisine, Kranenburg (37 km)
- The international art forum houses around 95,000 posters: PAN Kunstforum Niederrhein, Emmerich am Rhein (15 km)
- A visit to the castle gardens of Arcen, the small Dutch fortress town (46 km)
- Lower Rhine Museum in Wesel (24 km)
- Visit one of the many antique and flea markets in the Lower Rhine region
- An excursion to the 1st German open-air wine museum with many regular events in the Lower Rhine-Münsterland Tuscany in Hamminkeln-Wertherbruch (13 km): Kraul Monastery
- The centuries-old moated castle of Anholt, Isselburg with its baroque gardens
- Visit the longest (803 m) suspension bridge in Germany, the "Golden Gate" on the Lower Rhine, Emmerich am Rhein (15 km). And if you like, pay a visit to the Katjes shop on the Rhine promenade afterwards.
- Museum of modern and contemporary art and a mecca for every Joeph Beuys fan: Schloss Moyland, Kalkar (12 km)
- Less than 30 minutes away by car: the Roman and Siegfried city of Xanten (around 20 km from Rees)
- Excellent regional and seasonal products from the Lower Rhine: Lindchen farmers' market (20 km)
- De Moezeköttel: Tiny, impressive open-air museum in Megchelen in the Netherlands, the smallest of the 71 emergency shelters built after the Second World War - free admission (20 km).
