Our holiday home is also available to you during Advent, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve. Enjoy a peaceful break in a wintry atmosphere – perfect for relaxing days as a couple or with the family.
Our outdoor fireplace provides a cozy setting for evenings, where you can enjoy the fresh winter air with a warm drink. Inside, a comfortable, heated accommodation awaits you, ideal for cozy hours in the warmth. The surroundings invite you to take winter walks and small discovery tours – ideal for leaving holiday stress behind and recharging your energy.
SUMMER TIME
The two-story, freshly renovated bungalow combines historic charm with modern living comfort – lovingly furnished and in a dreamlike location. In addition to the approximately 20 m² terrace with a spectacular view of the lake, the house impresses with stylish furnishings that have been selected with great care. The bedrooms are located on the ground floor (ceiling height 2.02 m) and, thanks to the quiet hillside location, offer ideal conditions for restful nights. In the master bedroom, there is also a spacious workspace with a direct view of the lake – perfect for a home office in an inspiring setting. A fiber optic connection ensures fast and reliable internet.
The interior combines practical modernity with the nostalgic flair of the construction period. I placed particular value on natural materials – this allows the house to blend harmoniously into the surrounding nature, both inside and out.
For children, the bathing beach right outside the door will be a great adventure. The gently sloping shore is very well suited for splashing and playing in the water. Whether you want to cook together in the well-equipped kitchen, enjoy a nap under the open sky, grill at the stone oven, or relax with a good book and a glass of wine in the beach chair on the lake terrace – the holiday home Frieda offers you all this and more. My personal aim was to create a place where you can find peace, forget time, and let your soul unwind amidst nature.

Your holiday destination is nestled between Waren (Müritz) and Plau am See – right in the middle of one of the most beautiful, diverse, and nature-rich landscapes in Germany. Located directly on the shore of Lake Plau and in the immediate vicinity of the nature reserve, “Fräulein Frieda” offers the ideal starting point for relaxation and discovery.
Framed by the largest continuous lake district in Europe, the region invites you to take long walks, bike tours, and observe nature. After a short excursion, you reach the charming museum village of Alt Schwerin, which delights with loving details and living history. In the local village shop “dit und dat” you will find everything for your daily needs – from fresh bread rolls to homemade cake.
Lake Plau is one of the over 1, 000 lakes of the Mecklenburg Lake District – and has stood out for years due to its excellent water quality: With a visibility depth of over two meters, it is one of the cleanest bodies of water in the region.
Just a few steps from the holiday home begins one of the most scenic cycling routes in Germany – the "Plauer See Circular Cycle Route." From here, wonderful excursions are possible, for example to the nearby Bear Forest, to various open-air museums, to observation towers, to the Monkey Forest or to the summer toboggan run – nature, adventure, and relaxation are all very close together here.

A proper home for the holidays
The holiday home is beautifully designed with love, taste, and creativity.
It offers everything you need.
The location provides peace and plenty of relaxation, while also allowing for a great active vacation - swimming, SUP, cycling, hiking.

Very beautiful clean house, lovingly equipped in a very good location with a very nice landlady. We had a great week here with lots of cycling tours.

A dream for people who need water and peace
We arrived in glorious sunshine and the children and we were thrilled from the first sight. The house is in the second row with a covered terrace directly in front of the lake
Inside, everything is finely furnished. The "raw" concrete floor in the living area really appealed to me in the warm outside temperatures. I am thrilled. The bedrooms are in the cooler basement and therefore very pleasant to sleep in

Frieda has found 2 new friends
Sometimes you meet people who immediately make you feel at home and that without any words? That's what happened to us when Frieda greeted us for the first time. Great family holiday
Very beautifully furnished holiday home with great attention to detail.
It is recommended for families with a child. The slowly deepening water of the lake offers lots of bathing fun for young and old. Our discovery tour with the house's own rowing boat across Lake Plauer See was also great.

As early as 1952, when there were neither bungalows nor campsites on this shore, my grandparents Paul and Elfriede regularly camped on this beautiful spot with their bowling brothers and sisters, becoming the first permanent campers in the region. In this tradition, every holiday was spent there and passed on to children and grandchildren, for now in its 4th generation, my family's heart beats faster at this place. This is where we learned to walk, swim and ride our bicycles and where, even as children, we admired the stately bungalows right next to our campsite. After more than ten years of searching, I can finally realise my dream with this almost 400 m² lakefront property. And it is precisely this wonderful experience that I would like to share with you, and I hope that you will be just as enraptured.
