The cottage
Our cottage, completed in 2019 and made of ecological building materials and some clay plaster walls, which provide a pleasant indoor climate, is quietly situated in a 400 sqm garden with various seating areas. Here you can have breakfast on the large terrace in the morning when the sun is shining, take a siesta in the light shade at noon, enjoy the sunset in the evening and admire the starry sky at night
The cottage offers a bedroom with a double bed (140 x 200), a small bedroom with a bed (90 x 200), a bathroom with shower, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and a dining area with comfortable seating. Wifi and TV are available, as well as a barbecue.
The cottage is built in timber frame with ecological insulation materials and has an oiled plank floor. Most of the walls are plastered with clay, creating a pleasant indoor climate and cosy atmosphere.
The Havel River 50 m away invites you to swim, fish or go boating. The wonderful lake and forest landscape is ideal for hiking in the extensive nature. The Havel cycle path 600 metres away and a good network of cycle paths can be optimally used for cycling tours in the near and far surroundings.
Boats can be rented by arrangement at the Villa Fohrde educational centre diagonally opposite.
In autumn or winter, infrared heaters provide cosy radiant heat.
The cottage has a lockable shed with storage facilities for bicycles, prams, fishing tackle, etc

The cottage is quietly located on the outskirts of the village of Fohrde in a dead-end street.
The train station, with hourly connections during the day to the city of Brandenburg an der Havel and from there to Potsdam or Berlin, is less than 10 minutes away on foot.
In the neighbouring village of Pritzerbe, 2 km away, you will find restaurants, a savings bank, a boat rental, a hairdresser, etc.

Very good equipment down to the finest detail.
There was nothing missing, from the dishcloth to the hand mixer to the egg pricker, everything was there. The missing oven didn't bother us.
The location is quiet, almost idyllic.
The contact with the landlord was very obliging and uncomplicated.

Cosy little holiday home in the countryside
Our family spent a weekend in the holiday home. After a very friendly welcome by the host, we were allowed to enjoy the beautiful garden and the cosy furnishings. All-round pleasant accommodation.

Simply beautiful!!
Thank you very much for a wonderful time in this beautiful and great cottage. Everything is there that is needed for daily life. Very cosy, practical and tastefully furnished. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Mrs Bövingloh, but I'm sure she is just as friendly, helpful, sympathetic and obliging as her husband. It was a pleasure for my adult son to be able to enjoy nature, peace and quiet every day. Definitely recommendable.

Quite wonderful!
The house has a totally beautiful atmosphere. It is lovingly equipped and prepared
Even salt & pepper, washing-up liquid & all kinds of kitchen tools have been thought of. You could even bake a cake. Everything is super cosy. Having breakfast on the terrace, reading or doing yoga were just three of my 10 highlights. Mr and Mrs Bövingloh are incredibly friendly & open people
I felt very welcome & was overwhelmed by my feelings of humility on the first day.
The small grocery shop (2 km away) offers more than it seems from the outside. The shop assistant is also quite a cordial person. (Beware, there is a 2 hour lunch break, pay close attention to the opening hours)
If you need oat milk or other vegan food, you should stock up on it in a bigger city. And an anti-mosquito spray can also contribute to quiet evenings in the garden; there are already some of these unloved beasts there due to the Havel.
The bathing area next to the villa is characterised above all by the lush green meadow
The water is several metres shallow. It's a wonderful place to swim and cool off.
I had 4 wonderful, peaceful and soulful days here. I can highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to spend some quality time alone. But it is also an ideal place for small families to spend time together and enjoy.

fantastic short break
Actually, we wanted to go to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. But because it was not possible to stay there due to Corona, chance led us to this beautiful corner on the Havel river. A small, stylish and lovingly furnished cottage with a flower garden and terrace where you can greet the day in the morning sun with a cup of coffee. Fully equipped with everything you need for a vacation, including entertaining reading material to make yourself comfortable on a rainy day. Perfectly suitable as a starting point for various hikes, bike and paddling tours. We had a very pleasant stay, also thanks to the friendly and uncomplicated communication with the landlord.

Nice short vacation
The cottage and garden are very cozy, the landlord very friendly. Ideal for relaxing. Unfortunately, shops, restaurants and sights can only be reached by car or public transport. Therefore, ideal for tours in the area by bike, car or boat. A very nice short vacation with the best weather. We would be happy to come back.

Simply fabulous!
We spent 2 wonderful weeks here. The small cozy cottage in the countryside is modern and chic, simply perfect for feeling comfortable. The landlord is very sympathetic and helpful.
The surroundings tempt you to daily new discovery tours by bike, boat or on foot, the vacation went by too quickly.
We enjoyed it here very much and would love to come back.

WARNUNG vor Intoleranz und ideologischem Fanatismus
In puncto Sauberkeit, Ausstattung und Lage hatten wir bei diesem schönen Häuschen keinen Anlass zur Klage.
Verdorben wurde uns jedoch der Aufenthalt durch einen Vorfall besonderer Art: Da wir aus dem niederschlesischen Oberlausitzkreis stammen, brachten wir als Ausdruck unserer Identität und Heimatliebe wie gewöhnlich ein dezentes Fähnchen unserer niederschlesischen Heimat am Bungalow an.
Diese Fahne hing nur eine Nacht, bevor der Vermieter uns zum Abnehmen selbiger aufforderte mit der Begründung, man hätte "irritierte Anrufe" aus der Nachbarschaft erhalten. Wir folgten der Aufforderung, werten den Vorfall jedoch als Zeichen für Intoleranz sowie ideologischen Fanatismus bzw. Totalitarismus, u. U. sogar Rassismus.
Die Vermieter (vermutlich zugereist aus dem Westen) zeigten für unsere Position und Identität wenig Verständnis. Anbei sei bemerkt, daß sich gleich neben dem Bungalow die dubiose Einrichtung "Villa Fohrde" befindet, welche sich "Freiheit" (sic) und "Weltoffenheit" (sic) auf ihre Fahnen schreibt.
Im Rahmen meiner Tätigkeit als international akkreditierter Journalist werde ich den Vorfall freilich archivieren und ggf. publizistisch begleiten.

Absolut KLASSE!
Dieses kleine Häuschen im Grünen ist einfach ein Traum! Die Lage ist toll, die Ausstattung modern und schick. Man fühlt sich total wohl. Auch die Umgebung bietet alles, was das Herz begehrt, wenn man Ausflüge in die Natur liebt. Ein absolutes Goldstück. Dazu kommt der hervorragende Service und die nette Fürsorge des Inhabers.
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen sehr gern wieder.
Mehr "empfehlenswert" geht nicht! :-)

Entspannung pur
Das Häuschen bietet alles, was man braucht. Es wirkt modern und zugleich gemütlich. Der große Garten lädt zum Spielen, Grillen und Entspannen ein. Die nahegelegener Badestelle liegt sehr idyllisch mit kleinem Sandstück ideal zum buddeln, Bäume bieten ausreichend Schatten. Das flache Wasser und das natürliche Ufer sind besonders für Kleinkinder super.
Fahrradmitnahme lohnt sich!
Den Einkauf sollte man planen.
Eine Bootstour auf der Havel ist ein Muss - z.B. per Kanu oder mit einer Fähre. Das Schwimmbad mit Freibad in der Stadt Brandenburg ist auch einen Besuch wert.
