HOUSE OF THE GUZZI
Pomonte: characteristic village on the clear sea of the Costa del Sole. DISCOUNT TRAGHETTI BLU NAVY We rent part of a beautiful semi-detached villa (up to 8 beds) just 100m from the sea,
composed of:
THREE large double bedrooms, 2 with additional single bed, bathroom with window and large shower, spacious kitchen (with TV) fully equipped with adjoining terrace covered by a canopy where you can comfortably have lunch and dinner. Each room is equipped with mosquito nets and heating (independent) for the winter months.
The property includes a large barbecue area adjacent to the terrace, closed by a gate, accessible by our friends animals, extra outdoor shower, washing machine and awning, garden equipped with sun loungers and private parking for 2 cars. The villa is located near the square of Pomonte, a village that enjoys every service within walking distance: grocery, butcher, bakery, pastry / ice cream, bars, restaurants, pizzeria, pharmacy, bank and post office. Walking along the main street you can also reach a source of drinking spring water "la Fonte Fresca", healthy and free.
A few steps from the villa are the small pebble beach (partly equipped) in front of the "Scoglio dell'Ogliera" famous for the wreck of 'Elviscot, another beach of small pebbles (free) and the cliff "of smooth and coti" that give with a simple mask and mouthpiece the possibility of suggestive diving. We also have a new Diving CENTER to enjoy excursions judged by experienced divers! Just 5 minutes by car / bus Fetovaia, one of the most beautiful beaches of fine sand on Elba. we guarantee courtesy and friendliness that is our priority to welcome our guests, who usually return often!!! Pomonte is an enchanting place set in the park of the Tuscan archipelago. Its paths and crystal clear waters are ideal for lovers of hiking and mountain biking and snorkeling and windsurfing.
The village is famous for the wreck of the Elviscot, a must for any snorkeling and diving enthusiast. The wreck, a 35 m merchant ship sunk in 1972, is located near the Ogliera cliff, which lies at a depth of only 10 metres on the sandy seabed. It is one of the few dives that can be made on Elba without the aid of a boat. We start from the beach of Pomonte to reach the nearby cliff of Ogliera, where on the left side lies the hull of the ship Elviscot, sunk because of a violent storm that pushed it against the rocks of the coast. between the plates you can see conger eels, breams and octopuses while the reflections of light, which the rays of the sun create penetrating from the portholes, create ideal effects for unusual photographic images. Exploring the Elviscot is easy thanks to the reduced depth that gives brightness and transparency. A wonderful dive within the reach of all divers, even those who have recently approached this sport.
