Location and surroundings of object
Relax in our cosy holiday home in the beautiful Ruppiner Land. In a quiet location on the outskirts of Neuruppin and near the Ruppiner See lake, you can really relax or take a nice bike ride in our wooded and watery surroundings. The holiday home is located on a large garden plot on the outskirts of Neuruppin, very close to two bathing spots and it offers space for a maximum of 4 people. Neuruppin, the gateway to "Ruppiner Schweiz", is the birthplace of Theodor Fontane and Karl Friedrich Schinkel. Its excellent location at the heart of the Ruppin chain of lakes as well as its scenic surroundings and good transport links make Neuruppin a beautiful and also interesting holiday experience. Even from a distance, on a clear day, you can see the two towers of the monastery church, one of the town's landmarks. Neuruppin was almost completely destroyed by a devastating fire in 1787. Thanks to generous help from King Frederick William II and the plans of master builder Bernhard Matthias Brasch, the town was rebuilt in the classicist style with dead-straight wide streets and large square squares. The city is therefore considered the "Prussian city" in the Mark Brandenburg. From Neuruppin you can take idyllic boat trips to discover the charms of the countryside and the culinary delights of the Mark Brandenburg cuisine by visiting the numerous inns. A day trip to the Stendenitz and Boltenmühle inns, surrounded by forests, or to Lindow, the town between 3 lakes, with its green spaces and the remains of an old monastery ruin is sure to delight you. A "must" for visitors to our region is a trip to Rheinsberg, with its castle and the adjacent park where open-air performances of the "Rheinsberg Castle Chamber Opera" take place in summer. We hope that with this short description of the surroundings we have been able to inspire you a little for our beautiful "Ruppiner Land" as a holiday region and would be pleased to welcome you as a guest in our "Ferienhaus Henning".
