Description
The house is located at the end of a small road, in the middle of the countryside and not far from the sea and nature reserve. The former farm is over 100 years old and was completely renovated in winter 2017 / spring 2018.
The natural garden around the house invites you to sunbathe and relax. In this undisturbed oasis, you can leave everyday life behind and enjoy the wonderful view of the greenery.
In the bright, spacious house, all rooms are on one level. The central area is the kitchen-living room - the former barn: The kitchen area is modernly equipped induction cooker with 4 plates, Borer extractor bonnet, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, Bosch side-by-side refrigerator and large granite work surface. You can sit together at a wooden table with seating for 6 people in front of the large floor-to-ceiling French window. The underfloor heating spreads cosy warmth even in bad weather. In a small corner you can sit comfortably on a sofa.
However, the spaciousness also allows you to withdraw. In the fireplace room there is a flat-screen TV with satellite reception. Apple TV allows you to stream your favourite programmes. A wood-burning stove allows for extra cosiness on rainy days.
The two bathrooms feature walk in rain showers, high quality Duravit wash hand basins, furniture with ample storage space, heating for towels and underfloor heating.
The three bedrooms offer further retreat possibilities. From there, you look either into the garden or onto the dyke.
The entire house is at your disposal. The large garden allows you to sunbathe, play and read. Or you can simply relax with a view of the dyke.
You can easily park your vehicles on the property.
The house is an ideal starting point for trips to the nearby North Frisian islands of Föhr, Amrum, Sylt and the Halligen.

Location and surroundings of object
The sea is about 1 km from the house as the crow flies. You can go there by bike or car (1. 5 km). More beautiful for swimming is the ferry port Schlüttsiel (5 km). You can get there either by car between the dyke and the bird sanctuary or by bike along the dyke and the sea. Other bathing places nearby are the Hamburger Hallig (15 km) and Lüttmoorsiel.
The numerous quiet country roads and country lanes in the area offer cycling tours along the North Sea over dykes and seawalls.
Furthermore, excursions to Sylt are possible (train e.g. from Langenhorn).

Quiet, well-maintained, and fully equipped
The holiday apartment matched exactly the description and the photos on the website. Particularly noteworthy is the excellently equipped kitchen – everything you need was really there. The beds were also very comfortable. Overall, the accommodation conveys an appealing mix of functional modernity, Nordic flair, and a cozy atmosphere. The location also convinced us: on one hand, shopping opportunities, excursion destinations, and sights can be reached in a short time, on the other hand, the Deichkieker is located in a quiet cul-de-sac – almost like on a small island, where one can wonderfully unwind and forget everyday life.
Ms. Paschereit was always communicative and helpful. We received all important information both in advance and on-site.

A place to unwind
The charming old farmhouse is very unique and has been restored with great attention to detail, harmonious and with a special atmosphere. We felt comfortable right away. The quiet location on the edge of the dike zone was ideal for us: plenty of nature, openness, and even animal visitors right in front of the house.
The friendly contact with the landlady was especially pleasant. From booking to departure, we felt very well cared for. The many helpful tips about the house and surroundings made the stay even more relaxing.
For us, it was a completely restful break – thank you for that!

Spacious and very well-equipped oasis for those seeking peace and family vacations.
We were 4 adults and enjoyed the absolute tranquility, the nature-oriented garden, and above all, the spacious rooms in a loving composition of old farmhouse furniture and modern comforts regarding underfloor heating and kitchen equipment. The highlight on the already cool evenings was the antique-looking open fireplace. We would love to come back.

A dreamy house in absolute peace.
We were able to spend New Year's Eve in this incredibly great house and were excited from the first moment. I could only repeat myself about the location and atmosphere. The description of the house/environment is absolutely accurate as described by the hostess and other guests. Due to the reviews, our expectations were high - and they were completely fulfilled, if not exceeded. Never before have we been guests in such a high-quality and fully equipped holiday house. There was simply nothing missing. With Mrs. Paschereit, we were able to get to know a very attentive and enormously friendly hostess. Thank you very much for that! We will be back...

Wonderful relaxing holidays in Ockholm!
The description of the holiday home is completely accurate. The equipment in the holiday home is very high quality, especially in the kitchen and bathrooms. Everything was spotlessly clean upon arrival and you could see the loving preparation everywhere. A welcome greeting immediately put a smile on everyone's face. The green surroundings felt idyllic and were exceptionally quiet, which contributed perfectly to our relaxation. The hostess always provided us with the important information necessary for our stay and also answered additional questions very friendly and promptly. Additional information material is also available in the holiday home. Excursions to the nature reserves of the Wadden Sea, for bird watching, or for a crossing to one of the North Sea islands are possible by bike. But St. Peter Ording or Flensburg were also no problem by car. Additionally, we had exceptionally good and warm summer weather and were able to enjoy nature every day. A wonderful vacation!
