Description
The house is located at the end of a small road, in the middle of the countryside and not far from the sea and nature reserve. The former farm is over 100 years old and was completely renovated in winter 2017 / spring 2018.
The natural garden around the house invites you to sunbathe and relax. In this undisturbed oasis, you can leave everyday life behind and enjoy the wonderful view of the greenery.
In the bright, spacious house, all rooms are on one level. The central area is the kitchen-living room - the former barn: The kitchen area is modernly equipped induction cooker with 4 plates, Borer extractor bonnet, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, Bosch side-by-side refrigerator and large granite work surface. You can sit together at a wooden table with seating for 6 people in front of the large floor-to-ceiling French window. The underfloor heating spreads cosy warmth even in bad weather. In a small corner you can sit comfortably on a sofa.
However, the spaciousness also allows you to withdraw. In the fireplace room there is a flat-screen TV with satellite reception. Apple TV allows you to stream your favourite programmes. A wood-burning stove allows for extra cosiness on rainy days.
The two bathrooms feature walk in rain showers, high quality Duravit wash hand basins, furniture with ample storage space, heating for towels and underfloor heating.
The three bedrooms offer further retreat possibilities. From there, you look either into the garden or onto the dyke.
The entire house is at your disposal. The large garden allows you to sunbathe, play and read. Or you can simply relax with a view of the dyke.
You can easily park your vehicles on the property.
The house is an ideal starting point for trips to the nearby North Frisian islands of Föhr, Amrum, Sylt and the Halligen.

Location and surroundings of object
The sea is about 1 km from the house as the crow flies. You can go there by bike or car (1. 5 km). More beautiful for swimming is the ferry port Schlüttsiel (5 km). You can get there either by car between the dyke and the bird sanctuary or by bike along the dyke and the sea. Other bathing places nearby are the Hamburger Hallig (15 km) and Lüttmoorsiel.
The numerous quiet country roads and country lanes in the area offer cycling tours along the North Sea over dykes and seawalls.
Furthermore, excursions to Sylt are possible (train e.g. from Langenhorn).

A dreamy house in absolute peace.
We were able to spend New Year's Eve in this incredibly great house and were excited from the first moment. I could only repeat myself about the location and atmosphere. The description of the house/environment is absolutely accurate as described by the hostess and other guests. Due to the reviews, our expectations were high - and they were completely fulfilled, if not exceeded. Never before have we been guests in such a high-quality and fully equipped holiday house. There was simply nothing missing. With Mrs. Paschereit, we were able to get to know a very attentive and enormously friendly hostess. Thank you very much for that! We will be back...

Wonderful relaxing holidays in Ockholm!
The description of the holiday home is completely accurate. The equipment in the holiday home is very high quality, especially in the kitchen and bathrooms. Everything was spotlessly clean upon arrival and you could see the loving preparation everywhere. A welcome greeting immediately put a smile on everyone's face. The green surroundings felt idyllic and were exceptionally quiet, which contributed perfectly to our relaxation. The hostess always provided us with the important information necessary for our stay and also answered additional questions very friendly and promptly. Additional information material is also available in the holiday home. Excursions to the nature reserves of the Wadden Sea, for bird watching, or for a crossing to one of the North Sea islands are possible by bike. But St. Peter Ording or Flensburg were also no problem by car. Additionally, we had exceptionally good and warm summer weather and were able to enjoy nature every day. A wonderful vacation!

Wonderful tranquillity
We were guests in the Deichkieker for a week and especially enjoyed the peace and quiet and the beautiful view in the best summer weather. The focal point of this farmhouse cottage is the spacious kitchen-living room, which is excellently equipped in an exciting mix of modernity (kitchenette) and tradition (e.g. old china cupboard). The floor-to-ceiling windows provide light and offer a view of the garden and the house
The two shower bathrooms are tip-top and, like the kitchen-cum-living room, have underfloor heating.
We didn't use the spacious living room with its wood-burning stove - because the weather was so good, we were able to enjoy the sunset behind the dyke on a small bench by the house in the evening and then spent our evenings playing games in the kitchen.
The charm of the house definitely comes from the contrasts: the old beams have been professionally replaced and beautifully staged, while at the same time the character has been preserved by leaving the remaining walls and floors in their original courses, the old farmhouse cupboards bring the past century back to life and, accordingly, doors can sometimes creak. On the other hand, you will find top modern shower bathrooms or the already mentioned chic kitchenette behind these doors and the windows have also been completely renewed.
We would have liked to see underfloor heating in the two bedrooms with the single beds, but perhaps that is already in the planning stage?
Despite the distance, the hostess always looked after us very well and our concerns were well taken care of.
We spent beautiful and relaxing days in the Deichkieker and left with a heavy heart.

Simply fantastic!!!!
We felt wonderfully comfortable in the Deichkieker house during our summer vacation. Everything was perfect: the host, the house, the garden, the surroundings, the attractions, the beach, the sea, etc. It was simply fantastic!!! We highly recommend a stay in this oasis of nature to anyone who wants peace and quiet but still wants to be close to the nearest attractions. We will definitely come back!

Vacation for relaxing in all weathers!
The holiday home is located in a very quiet area amidst meadows with sheep. The organization in advance with the landlady works perfectly and very uncomplicated via mail or telephone. The house is very nicely furnished and conveys a homely atmosphere to feel good. At various places around the house, you can also make yourself comfortable outside. In our opinion, there is nothing to complain about regarding the equipment; everything you need for daily life is there - and often even more. Thanks to the large kitchen-dining area and the living room equipped with a fireplace, you can also "survive" rainy days or make yourself comfortable in winter. We can only recommend this nice property for a relaxing holiday.

Completely equipped, lovingly renovated farmhouse in a quiet location
Large, clean rooms, modern equipped bathrooms. Everything on one level. Our favorite was the cozy, fully equipped living kitchen with the large dining table around which we also gathered for game nights. Absolutely quiet location for relaxation. In the morning, a field hare visited us in the garden several times.
By car, you can also reach the ferries to Hooge or Föhr for day trips in a short time. In times of Corona, quick and helpful online support provided by the landlady Mrs. Paschereit.

Oase der Ruhe
Wer Ruhe sucht - hier ist sie !! Wir haben 10 Tage in diesem sehr schönen Haus verbracht, in dem sich wunderbar erholen lässt. Es fehlt an nichts. Dazu eine Eigentümerin, die sich sehr um ihre Gäste kümmert. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Sehr sauberes und großzügiges Ferienhaus
Wir haben einen entspannten Urlaub in diesem wunderschönen, stilvoll renovierten und sehr gepflegten Bauernhaus verbracht.
Die zwei Bäder und die Küche sind sehr modern und toll ausgestattet.
Uns erwartete ein sauberes Haus, das nichts zu wünschen übrig lässt. Wir konnten wunderbare Abendessen in der gemütlichen Wohnküche geniessen.
Dieses Feriendomizil mit einem großen privaten Garten liegt sehr ruhig - nur umgeben von Feldern - und der Blick zum Deich begeistert.
Während unseres Aufenthalts konnten wir sehr schöne Ausflüge mit dem Pkw oder mit dem Schiff,
Wattwanderungen und Radtouren in die Umgebung machen.
Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert!
Wir denken gern an diesen Urlaub zurück.

Super Deichkieker
Wir haben 14 tolle Tage im Deichkieker verbracht. Die Ausstattung, die Räumlichkeiten alles, in einem super Zustand und sehr einladend um dort seine Zeit zu verbringen. Die Lage am Ende einer Sackgasse garantiert absolute Ruhe. Wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder.
