Not a holiday apartment where something is missing. Here is everything you need:
Two single beds (can be put together)
Kitchen with everything you need – stove, oven, microwave, complete set of dishes
Modern bathroom with shower
Dining table for four people
TV, radio, Wi-Fi – in case you want some civilization after all
Your parking space is waiting in front of the house.

Location & Surroundings
At the end of the cul-de-sac. Pure nature. Guaranteed peace and quiet.
The Birrenhof is quietly situated in a large farmhouse – accessible at ground level, accessible by car all year round. The cable cars are within walking distance, in winter the free ski bus stops 2 minutes away. It is a 7-8 minute walk to Engelberg train station.
Engelberg – your retreat at 1050 m above sea level.
No hustle and bustle. No entertainment. Just breathe. Engelberg has what you need: the Benedictine monastery in the village center, a surprisingly wide range of cultural offerings, good restaurants, solid mountain huts. The mountain panorama does the rest. Here you recharge – without a program, without hustle and bustle.
Winter: powder snow, 82 kilometers of slopes, 24 lifts. Or winter hiking through snowy forests – depending on what you feel like.
Summer: kilometers of hiking trails. Set out in the morning, sit on the alp at noon, return in the evening. Or take the cable car up and stay at the top. Playing golf with a mountain view – the 18-hole course is located in the valley. You decide.

| Travelling alone? No problem: You can stay in our studio for half price during the middle and low season! In high season you pay 55 Swiss francs per night up to 4 nights. A warm welcome! |

The Birrenhof team is a traditional mountain farming family. The flats are located in our farmhouse. Renting out the flats and providing services are a mainstay of our farming business. Besides the dairy cows, we also keep 4 Freiberger horses. The horses work in the carriage house Engelberg. Carriage driving is a third mainstay. Visit us and have a look at our additional offer. We look forward to welcoming you in Engelberg.
