In the main building you will find holiday apartments and suites with 1 and 2 separate bedrooms (from 42 to 85m²), living/sleeping room, fully equipped kitchens (with dishwasher, hot-air cooker, four ceramic hotplates, microwave, extractor hood, kettle, toaster, dishes ...), bright and modern bathrooms, balconies or roof terrace with fantastic view; free W-LAN and 40" LED-Sat-TV.
In addition, there is a new passenger lift to get to our new (partly barrier-free) holiday apartments and suites barrier-free and without stairs

KARGLHOF - in the middle of greenery; own bathing beach, free, unspoilt and quiet location and view of the mountains; on the outskirts of the village, by the lake, near the thermal baths, close to the centre, large own children's playground
All around Austria's southernmost bathing lake - Lake Faaker See - everyone can do sports as well as relax: whether on hikes in spring, summer, autumn and winter through the idyllic landscape with its magnificent panorama; during Nordic Walking in the Nordic Fitness Sports Park Faaker See (TM); in the climbing garden Kanzianiberg; on one of the many cycle routes around Lake Faaker See or on one of the new MTB trails at Lake Faaker See - or during water sports, because Lake Faaker See is a true paradise for water sports enthusiasts.
In summer the Carinthian bathing lake reaches temperatures of up to 28° C.
However, those who prefer the mountains will take the Karawanken with the Mittagskogel, the Dobratsch, the Dreiländereck, the Gerlitzen, the Verditz, the Karnischen and the Gailtaler to their hearts.
In addition, our surrounding mountains offer perfect views of the Rosental and the holiday region of Faaker See. Of course our Carinthian holiday region in the south also offers the right programme for culture enthusiasts.
Lake Faak lies geographically at the crossroads of three cultures (Carinthia, Slovenia and Italy): atmospheric and unusual festivals are celebrated here - such as the high-calibre musical delights of the international "Carinthian Summer" festival in the baroque Ossiacher Stiftskirche and in the modern Villach Congress Centre, open-air events in the Finkenstein Castle Arena high above Lake Faak, the traditional Villach Church Day, visits to sights and exhibitions or participation in creative courses, and much more
The sunny south of Austria offers a choice for everyone who spends their holidays here: take a step towards the mountains, culture, sports or unlimited bathing fun at Lake Faaker See.
But even in winter the Karglhof is not far away from the ski slopes, cross-country ski runs, toboggan runs, ice skating rinks, snowshoe hiking possibilities and much more.
You can ski on the Gerlitzen, the border triangle, Kranjska gora, Monte Lussari, Nassfeld etc. In the ski areas there are also ski courses for young and old.
The ski bus leaves from our head office and brings you back from the family ski areas Gerlitzen and Dreiländereck
You can also take the S2 from Faak am See station to Gerlitzen (journey time approx. 20 min.)
Of course our sledges are also at your free disposal for great toboggan rides. Ice skating on the nearby Aichwaldsee is of course also a great experience, as well as snowshoeing and cross-country skiing on the nearby cross-country trails
In order to be able to celebrate Christmas Eve in a family circle, we are happy to provide you with a Christmas tree from our own forest in your apartment
You and your children can also collect and cut it together with us to make this an unforgettable experience for you and your family
The Christmas tree decorations for decorating the Christmas tree are available from us or you can bring your own.
THE WAY TO KARGLHOF:
You take the exit Villach - Faaker See on the A2 motorway. Then turn left towards Faaker See. In Drobollach (approx. in the middle of the village) you have to turn right towards Faak am See. When you come to Faak am See, drive through the village centre. Then you can already see (approx. 200m away) our head office on the right side.
Very striking is that there is a small bell tower on the roof of the house.
Another quite useful hint: The main house is located opposite the tourist information Faak am See where you will also find the post office, bank and police.
