Description
The Strandhuesken holiday home is located in Seepark Eiken in Walchum / Emsland - 1st row with lake view. Ideal for your relaxing & stress-free holiday - with or without children.
Our highlights:
-5 steps to the beach and lake
-private indoor swimming pool for sole use within walking distance (4,00 €/person/hour), this is booked by phone
-almost car-free, as there are only a few residents, our Lilli learned to ride a bike here in no time ;o)
-2 good restaurants with beer garden within walking distance, the next one with a small ice-cream parlour and good cuisine is about 50m away -> due to illness and renovations, opening hours may change
-Gastronomy generally open all year round, food also to take away
-2 playgrounds and mini-golf also just a few steps away
-spacious & extensively equipped house in case of rain (games for young & old, Wii, Netflix - see below for more info)
- if it doesn't rain :o) Rubber dinghy incl. children's life jackets, bicycles, scooters including helmets, bobby cars, stand up paddles, table tennis table with accessories next to the house
-Bathing lake awarded with "good water quality" by the bathing water atlas of Lower Saxony
Our cosy wooden house is located directly at a bathing lake. With its 94 sqm you have enough space for 6 people. You decide whether you enjoy the view over the lake from the large covered balcony or the spacious wind-protected terrace. This way, you always have your children playing on the beach in view and can still read a book or simply relax. The bathing beach, and especially the children's beach, is only a few steps away from the terrace. Enjoy your time sunbathing on the beach loungers
Or how about a boat trip with the rubber dinghy? Or fun & sport on the standup paddle. For your barbecue evenings, a charcoal kettle grill and barbecue utensils are ready and waiting. Do you have to be quick? Use the electric table grill. You are welcome to make excursions to the surrounding area and to Holland with the 4 bicycles (+ 1 children's bike) provided by the house
The house has 2 parking spaces. The shopping possibilities are varied and close by
If you don't feel like cooking, you can visit the restaurant Seestübchen (located within 50 metres). Or you can bring your meal home. There is a wide range of food and drinks at reasonable prices. There is also a miniature golf course and an adventure playground in the immediate vicinity. If the weather is bad, you can also use the indoor swimming pool at Seepark Eiken, which you can reserve for your own use for a small fee.
The house is comfortably furnished and offers everything your heart desires. The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator, freezer, cooker and dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, waffle iron and enough glasses and dishes. There is also a sufficient supply of spices, vinegar, oil, etc., which you are welcome to use. Dishwasher tablets and toilet paper are part of the basic equipment for us.
In the dining room you will find a large table with room for 6 people. Here you can eat in a large group or end the day with a glass of wine. The living room couch offers enough space for a cosy TV or games evening. Or would you like to listen to your music? This works especially well in the existing recliner with the Bose Bluetooth box. Not relaxed enough? Then get on the fascia roller.
For our little guests we have 2 high chairs (1x with seat reducer), children's table with 4 chairs, a foldable changing unit, a potty (Attention: Princesses Edition), toilet seat, children's harness, 2 life jackets, lots of toys for indoors and outdoors, books, board games, wooden train, toy cars, building blocks, painting toys, street crayons, badminton, sand toys, bicycle, 2 scooters, bobby car and much more
The bathroom with towel heating, shower and WC is also on the ground floor, as well as a separate additional guest WC. If you want to relax, there is also the possibility to wash your clothes in the house and to dry them with a tumble dryer, and if you can't help it - an iron is also available.
On the upper floor there are 3 cosy bedrooms. One room with a double bed, television and access to the balcony, and 2 rooms with 2 single beds each. For our little guests we have a travel cot and accessories.
We are animal lovers but pets are unfortunately not allowed in the Strandhuesken, it is nevertheless not suitable for pet allergy sufferers. Rarely a dog from the family comes to visit..

The house is located in a holiday park, approx. 8 km from the A31 exit Lathen. You will find shopping facilities in Walchum (1.8km to the bakery/"corner shop", a little further EDEKA, drinks market...), Dörpen (approx. 11km Rossmann, LIDL, ALDI, EDEKA and much more) or in Lathen, Haren, Papenburg....

Simply wonderful to spend time and relax.
Our stay was simply wonderful! We were able to really switch off and relax here. The hosts thought of everything – we lacked for nothing. The consistently friendly and smooth communication was particularly positive as well. A place where you can wonderfully let your soul dangle – absolutely recommended!

Top-equipped holiday home in a beautiful location
The booking process went smoothly, and all important information reached us reliably and on time. We spent wonderfully relaxing days there, and we really lacked nothing in this holiday home. All the features mentioned in the description were present, and we actually found even more. We also thought it was great that all the windows and the patio door are equipped with solid insect screens. The lake belonging to the holiday park is suitable for both small children and swimmers who want to exert themselves, as well as stand-up paddlers or inflatable boaters. Here, everyone gets their money's worth, and we never experienced the lake/beach as overcrowded. When a sun umbrella broke, we were quickly helped and a replacement was provided immediately. We were also regularly asked if everything was alright.

Very nice and well-equipped holiday home!

It was a great vacation all around.
Dear Rothenpieler family,
we had a wonderful vacation with our grandchildren at your place. We lacked nothing. The weather was very kind to us, so we were able to go swimming in the lake every day. The highlight, of course, was the stand-up paddleboard and the inflatable boat. Thank you very much for the warm welcome.

We spent Whitsun 2021 on holiday ourselves in our current cottage as tenants and then spontaneously fell in love with it and the surrounding area. The fact that we were then able to buy the "Strandhuesken" and are now able to rent it to them - a dream and a miracle. It was comprehensively furnished with great attention to detail by our previous owners. As a family with two children by now, we were very surprised and just loved it - everything that was thought of here. We still have one or two ideas that we will gradually implement. We hope that you like the house...
