Description

Arrive, unpack, and start your vacation: Our STRANDHUESKEN is located in the first row of the Seepark Eiken in Walchum – directly on the swimming lake and just a few steps from the sandy beach. On 94 m², the cozy wooden house with 3 bedrooms offers space for up to 6 people and is especially well equipped for families.

The big plus is the location: From the house, the covered balcony, and the sheltered terrace you can enjoy the view of the lake. The child-friendly sandy beach is practically on your doorstep. This way, the children can play on the beach while the parents relax on the terrace. The bathing lake is listed in the Bathing Water Atlas Lower Saxony with good water quality.

There is also much to experience around the house. A private indoor pool for exclusive use at certain times is within walking distance and can be reserved separately. Two restaurants with beer gardens, including one only about 50 m away, two playgrounds, and a mini-golf course are also in the immediate vicinity.

For days by the water and excursions, we offer our guests extensive leisure options: 4 bicycles plus a children's bicycle, bicycle helmets, stand-up paddleboard, inflatable boat, children's life jackets, scooter, Bobby Car, as well as an outdoor table tennis table with accessories.

There is no chance of boredom even in bad weather. There is plenty of toys in the house for indoors and outdoors, books, board games, wooden train set, toy cars, building blocks, drawing materials, Nintendo Wii and Netflix on the smart TV.

For smaller children, there are, among other things, 2 high chairs, a children's table with chairs, changing facilities, potty, toilet seat, children's dishes and a travel cot available. The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, electric kettle, waffle iron, as well as sufficient dishes and glasses. A basic supply of spices, vinegar, oil, coffee, dishwasher tabs, paper towels, and toilet paper is also provided.

The dining area comfortably seats 6 people. The living room offers ample space for shared game or TV evenings. A Bose Bluetooth speaker and a recliner also provide for cozy hours.

The house has a bathroom with shower, toilet, and towel warmer, as well as a separate guest toilet. Washing machine, dryer, iron, and ironing board are also available.

Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms: one bedroom with double bed, TV, and access to the balcony, as well as two further bedrooms each with 2 single beds. Outside, you will find a spacious terrace, a covered balcony, sun loungers, garden furniture, sun umbrellas, as well as a charcoal grill and an electric grill. Two parking spaces are located directly at the house.

Especially convenient: bed linen and towels, as well as electricity, water, and heating are already included in the rental price. Many leisure activities can be used without additional rental costs.

Pets are not allowed in STRANDHUESKEN. The house is nevertheless not explicitly offered as allergy-friendly accommodation.

Location and surroundings of object

The STRANDHUESKEN is located in Seepark Eiken in Walchum in the beautiful Emsland – in the first row by the lake, directly on the bathing lake. The child-friendly sandy beach is just a few steps in front of the house.

The Seepark is quiet and family-friendly. Two restaurants with beer gardens, playgrounds, and a mini-golf course are within easy walking distance. A private indoor pool can be booked separately depending on availability and used exclusively for certain times. The surroundings are ideal for cycling tours and walks. The flat Emsland offers an extensive network of cycle paths and numerous excursion options.

Particularly interesting for families is the Schloss Dankern holiday park in Haren. Other popular destinations are Haren on the Ems, Papenburg with the Meyer shipyard, as well as various excursion destinations in the nearby Netherlands.

Shopping facilities for daily needs can be found in Walchum and the surrounding area. You will find more supermarkets, shops, and restaurants in Dörpen and Lathen, among other places.

Due to its proximity to the A31, the STRANDHUESKEN is also easily accessible by car from North Rhine-Westphalia and the Ruhr area.

Simply wonderful to spend time and relax.

Our stay was simply wonderful! We were able to really switch off and relax here. The hosts thought of everything – we lacked for nothing. Top-equipped holiday home in a beautiful location

The booking process went smoothly, and all important information reached us reliably and on time. We spent wonderfully relaxing days there, and we really lacked nothing in this holiday home. All the features mentioned in the description were present, and we actually found even more. We also thought it was great that all the windows and the patio door are equipped with solid insect screens. The lake belonging to the holiday park is suitable for both small children and swimmers who want to exert themselves, as well as stand-up paddlers or inflatable boaters. Here, everyone gets their money's worth, and we never experienced the lake/beach as overcrowded. When a sun umbrella broke, we were quickly helped and a replacement was provided immediately. We were also regularly asked if everything was alright.

It was a great vacation all around.

All-round carefree package

We particularly liked the location by the small lake. We could cool down at any time without much effort. Stand-up paddling was great fun for us. Fam. Rothenpieler provided everything that is useful, necessary and fun on holiday. Packing our suitcases was much less stressful than usual.
If you compare, you will quickly realise that the rental price is unbeatable.

Great holiday at Strandhuesken

Unfortunately, it was only 2 nights. We could have stayed longer.
Beautiful spacious house with everything you need. Very tastefully furnished.
Everything is there to contribute to a relaxing holiday.
We really enjoyed the peace there.

The entire holiday park gives a very well-maintained impression. It is a paradise for children. Shops are easily accessible by bike. The Emsland is suitable for smaller and also larger bike tours.

Super nice vacation at the beach cottage

We were with 5 adults from the end of September to the beginning of October 2021 in Strandhuesken. It was a wonderful vacation where we recovered well. The house is very well equipped, nothing is missing. The house and the surroundings are very clean and well maintained. The direct location by the sea is simply great. We explored the area with the house bikes, which was a lot of fun. The food at the Seestübchen, almost at the door, was also very delicious. Communication with the Rothenpieler family was excellent. Outstanding!!!

We spent a long weekend here in September and felt very comfortable. The house is cozy and equipped with everything you need. It's rare to find such a place, so the vacation begins from the first minute or even when packing :-) When the weather was nice, we could use stand-up paddleboards, a grill, and bicycles, all in top condition! The highlight for our son was the brand-new Kettler table tennis table. On the day of our arrival, we got food from the Seestübchen, super delicious and very friendly staff! We will gladly come back to Emsland! Thank you very much for everything! Family Kray.

5 stars and on top of that a grade 1+++

Normally, there are actually no 5 stars!
However, there are, and it's not a fake review.
A super beautiful house, as described, right by the water.
Very clean house, leaves nothing to be desired. You really don't need to cram anything in your suitcase, everything is there. From bikes to the grill, from stand up paddleboards to the inflatable boat, even from card games to the Nintendo Wii. Everything on site. The facility is well maintained and located in a quiet area, you can even rent a small indoor pool for yourself and your family for a small fee (3.50 € per person per hour). In the area (reachable by bike), there are various lakes for swimming or with a water skiing facility, as you prefer.

In short, we will be back.
And once again, a thank you to the Rothenspieler family.

Love at first sight

We spontaneously went to Seepark Eiken for the first time, shortly before the birth of our second daughter with our little Lilli (3.5 years). Despite mixed weather and Corona restrictions, it was really very nice

Nice people in the complex, everything extremely well maintained and the house perfectly equipped. You don't really need to take anything with you, there were even plenty of toys for the children (inside and outside)

Super handling and everything very clean. The location of the house in the lake park itself is perfect, very close to the gastronomy and the mini golf course and from the terrace you can almost throw stones into the water. The children can "run around" on their own... The small restaurant in the complex can be highly recommended, very nice and great cuisine. The big restaurant is also within walking distance, here I only had a cold wheat beer once - that was also very good

We will come again!

We spent Whitsun 2021 on holiday ourselves in our current cottage as tenants and then spontaneously fell in love with it and the surrounding area. The fact that we were then able to buy the "Strandhuesken" and are now able to rent it to them - a dream and a miracle. It was comprehensively furnished with great attention to detail by our previous owners. As a family with two children by now, we were very surprised and just loved it - everything that was thought of here. We still have one or two ideas that we will gradually implement.
