The Strandhuesken holiday home is located in Seepark Eiken in Walchum / Emsland - 1st row with lake view. Ideal for your relaxing & stress-free holiday - with or without children.
Our highlights:
-5 steps to the beach and lake
-private indoor swimming pool for sole use within walking distance (4,00 €/person/hour), this is booked by phone
-almost car-free, as there are only a few residents, our Lilli learned to ride a bike here in no time ;o)
-2 good restaurants with beer garden within walking distance, the next one with a small ice-cream parlour and good cuisine is about 50m away -> due to illness and renovations, opening hours may change
-Gastronomy generally open all year round, food also to take away
-2 playgrounds and mini-golf also just a few steps away
-spacious & extensively equipped house in case of rain (games for young & old, Wii, Netflix - see below for more info)
- if it doesn't rain :o) Rubber dinghy incl. children's life jackets, bicycles, scooters including helmets, bobby cars, stand up paddles, table tennis table with accessories next to the house

Our cosy wooden house is located directly at a bathing lake. With its 94 sqm you have enough space for 6 people. You decide whether you enjoy the view over the lake from the large covered balcony or the spacious wind-protected terrace. This way, you always have your children playing on the beach in view and can still read a book or simply relax. The bathing beach, and especially the children's beach, is only a few steps away from the terrace. Enjoy your time sunbathing on the beach loungers
Or how about a boat trip with the rubber dinghy? Or fun & sport on the standup paddle. For your barbecue evenings, a charcoal kettle grill and barbecue utensils are ready and waiting. Do you have to be quick? Use the electric table grill. You are welcome to make excursions to the surrounding area and to Holland with the 4 bicycles (+ 1 children's bike) provided by the house
The house has 2 parking spaces. The shopping possibilities are varied and close by
If you don't feel like cooking, you can visit the restaurant Seestübchen (located within 50 metres). Or you can bring your meal home. There is a wide range of food and drinks at reasonable prices. There is also a miniature golf course and an adventure playground in the immediate vicinity. If the weather is bad, you can also use the indoor swimming pool at Seepark Eiken, which you can reserve for your own use for a small fee.
The house is comfortably furnished and offers everything your heart desires. The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator, freezer, cooker and dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, waffle iron and enough glasses and dishes. There is also a sufficient supply of spices, vinegar, oil, etc., which you are welcome to use. Dishwasher tablets and toilet paper are part of the basic equipment for us.
In the dining room you will find a large table with room for 6 people. Here you can eat in a large group or end the day with a glass of wine. The living room couch offers enough space for a cosy TV or games evening. Or would you like to listen to your music? This works especially well in the existing recliner with the Bose Bluetooth box. Not relaxed enough? Then get on the fascia roller.
For our little guests we have 2 high chairs (1x with seat reducer), children's table with 4 chairs, a foldable changing unit, a potty (Attention: Princesses Edition), toilet seat, children's harness, 2 life jackets, lots of toys for indoors and outdoors, books, board games, wooden train, toy cars, building blocks, painting toys, street crayons, badminton, sand toys, bicycle, 2 scooters, bobby car and much more
The bathroom with towel heating, shower and WC is also on the ground floor, as well as a separate additional guest WC. If you want to relax, there is also the possibility to wash your clothes in the house and to dry them with a tumble dryer, and if you can't help it - an iron is also available.
On the upper floor there are 3 cosy bedrooms. One room with a double bed, television and access to the balcony, and 2 rooms with 2 single beds each. For our little guests we have a travel cot and accessories.
We are animal lovers but pets are unfortunately not allowed in the Strandhuesken, it is nevertheless not suitable for pet allergy sufferers. Rarely a dog from the family comes to visit..

You will find shopping facilities in Walchum (1.8km to the bakery/"corner shop", a little further EDEKA, drinks market...), Dörpen (approx. 11km Rossmann, LIDL, ALDI, EDEKA and much more) or in Lathen, Haren, Papenburg....

It was a great vacation all around.
Dear Rothenpieler family,
we had a wonderful vacation with our grandchildren at your place. We lacked nothing. The weather was very kind to us, so we were able to go swimming in the lake every day. The highlight, of course, was the stand-up paddleboard and the inflatable boat. Thank you very much for the warm welcome.

All-round carefree package
We particularly liked the location by the small lake. We could cool down at any time without much effort. Stand-up paddling was great fun for us. Fam. Rothenpieler provided everything that is useful, necessary and fun on holiday. Packing our suitcases was much less stressful than usual.
If you compare, you will quickly realise that the rental price is unbeatable.

Toller Urlaub im Strandhuesken
Leider waren es nur 2 Übernachtungen. Wir hätten auch länger ausgehalten.
Schönes geräumiges Haus, in dem es an nichts fehlt. Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet.
Es ist alles vorhanden, was zu einem entspannten Urlaub beiträgt.
Wir haben diese Ruhe dort sehr genossen.
Der gesamte Ferienpark macht einen sehr gepflegten Eindruck. Es ist ein Paradies für Kinder. Geschäfte sind mit dem Fahrrad leicht erreichbar. Das Emsland bietet sich für kleinere und auch größere Fahrradtouren an.

Familien Urlaub mit Kleinkind
Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Woche trotz schlechtem Wetter. Vor Ort selber ist nicht viel, aber man kann sich entspannen und sich ein paar schöne Tage machen. Der See direkt vor dem Haus ist bei schönem Wetter super zu nutzen und ein Geschäft um mal was zu besorgen ist nur ca. 2 km entfernt. Es ist sehr ruhig und man kann einfach mal die Seele baumeln lassen und vom Alltag abschalten.

Superschöner Urlaub im Strandhuesken
Wir waren mit 5 Erwachsenen von Ende September bis Anfang Oktober 2021 im Strandhuesken. Es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub, in dem wir uns gut erholt haben. Das Haus ist supergut ausgestattet, es fehlt wirklich an nichts. Haus incl. Anlage ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die direkte Seelage ist einfach super. Die Umgebung haben wir mit den hauseigenen Fahrrädern erkundet. Das hat uns viel Spaß gemacht. Das Essen im Seestübchen, fast vor der Türe, war auch sehr lecker.
Die Kommunikation mit Familie Rothenpieler war hervorragend.
Sehr gerne kommen wir wieder und freuen uns jetzt schon darauf.

Spitzenmäßig!!!
Wir haben hier im September ein verlängertes Wochenende verbracht und uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist gemütlich und funktionell ausgestattet, es fehlt wirklich an nichts. So etwas findet man selten und daher fängt von der ersten Minute, bzw. schon beim Packen der Urlaub an :-) Bei schönem Wetter konnten wir Standup Paddel, Grill und Fahrräder nutzen, alles top! Das Highlight für unseren Sohn war die neuwertige Kettler Tischtennisplatte. Am Ankunftstag haben wir Essen aus dem Seestübchen geholt,
megalecker und sehr freundliches Personal! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder ins Emsland! Vielen Dank für alles! Familie Kray

5 Sterne und obendrein noch eine Note 1+++
Normal gibt es eigentlich keine 5 Sterne!
Doch gibt es, und es ist keine Fake Bewertung.
Ein Super schönes Haus , wie in der Beschreibung direkt am Wasser.
Sehr sauberes Haus, läßt keine Wünsche offen. Man braucht wirklich nichts in dem Koffer quetschen, es ist alles vorhanden. Von Fahrrädern bis zum Grill, von Stand up Paddle bis zum Schlauchboot, selbst vom Kartenspiel bis zur Nintendo Wi . Alles am Ort.
Die Anlage ist gepflegt und ruhig gelegen, selbst ein kleines Hallenbad kann man für sich und Familie zum alleinigen Gebrauch für kleines Geld mieten ( std, 3,50 € pro Person )
In der Umgebung ( mit dem Fahrrad zu erreichen) verschiedene Seen zum Baden oder mit Wasserski Anlage , wie man mag.
Kurzum, wir kommen wieder.

Urlaub in toller Lage.
Das Ferienhaus bietet alles was man braucht für einen tollen Urlaub. Ein toller Badesee, Fahrräder um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Das Haus selbst ist perfekt ausgestattet.

Love at first sight
We spontaneously went to Seepark Eiken for the first time, shortly before the birth of our second daughter with our little Lilli (3.5 years). Despite mixed weather and Corona restrictions, it was really very nice
Nice people in the complex, everything extremely well maintained and the house perfectly equipped. You don't really need to take anything with you, there were even plenty of toys for the children (inside and outside)
Super handling and everything very clean. The location of the house in the lake park itself is perfect, very close to the gastronomy and the mini golf course and from the terrace you can almost throw stones into the water. The children can "run around" on their own... The small restaurant in the complex can be highly recommended, very nice and great cuisine. The big restaurant is also within walking distance, here I only had a cold wheat beer once - that was also very good
We will come again!

Wir sind sehr glücklich und freuen uns auf viele tolle Tage im Strandhuesken und ganz viele zufriedene Gäste ;o)

Sehr gut gelegenes Haus direkt am kleinen See.

We spent Whitsun 2021 on holiday ourselves in our current cottage as tenants and then spontaneously fell in love with it and the surrounding area. The fact that we were then able to buy the "Strandhuesken" and are now able to rent it to them - a dream and a miracle. It was comprehensively furnished with great attention to detail by our previous owners. As a family with two children by now, we were very surprised and just loved it - everything that was thought of here. We still have one or two ideas that we will gradually implement.
