Description

The thatched cottage has a large living area on the ground floor with a living room with open fireplace and sitting area and a living and dining room with old Danish cast iron stove, dining table and sitting area. On the ground floor there are also two small bedrooms (2 beds and 1 bed) as well as the kitchen and 1 bathroom/WC with shower and 1 bathroom/WC with small bath
Upstairs there is a bedroom with a double bed and a separate WC.

The equipment includes:

Location and surroundings of object

The thatched cottage is located in the middle of a large meadow in the small farming village of Wippendorf. The Baltic Sea with its beautiful sandy beaches and cycling and hiking paths is about 6 kilometres away
Not far away at the north-eastern tip of Angeln is the Geltinger Birk, the largest nature reserve in the area (773 ha).

The town of Kappeln on the Schlei is 10 kilometres away, Schleswig, Flensburg and Eckernförder each about 30km.

Pure relaxation!

calm, cozy, well-equipped kitchen, ideal starting point for various excursions, bike rental in Kappeln, very nice landlords, we felt very comfortable :-)

Peace in nature

We stayed in this great house for 2 weeks and felt very comfortable. As soon as you enter, you feel at home. We were warmly welcomed by Mrs. Schmidt. The Baltic Sea is only a few kilometers away, and hiking is also possible. Cities such as Flensburg, Kappeln, Glücksburg, and Arnis can also be easily reached by car.

Like a Jane Austen novel

We felt more than at home. Nothing was missing and we were really warmly welcomed. The children also felt really comfortable. Everything is lovingly and comfortably furnished. It brings back nostalgic memories. Many thanks to the Schmidt family, we will be happy to come back.

A place for absolute relaxation

We were looking forward to the vacation and especially the accommodation. We were not disappointed. Friendly welcome by Mrs. Schmidt. The house is very well equipped. In the kitchen, we could find everything needed for preparing meals. We were lucky that there was an apple and pear harvest, so we could bake fresh cakes. We slept wonderfully thanks to the absolute quiet. We brought our bikes and had great excursions with them. With or without a bike, we recommend: Geltinger Birk, Kappeln, Anis, Schleitour (we did it by bike), Husum, and much more. Close to the Baltic Sea and just a manageable distance to the North Sea. Of course, it was great on the property too to sometimes not plan anything and enjoy the house and the large garden. If you have any questions, the couple Schmidt is happy to help. So overall, a successful vacation.

Thatched cottage idyll

We had a wonderful time in the lovingly and cozily furnished house. There is nothing missing, the house is very well equipped. In the garden, there are several seating options, and inside the house, you can comfortably settle in different places. The kitchen is excellently equipped, cooking is fun, and eating inside or outside is enjoyable. For our grandson, it was great to play and romp around in the large garden. The beautiful beaches, as well as Geltinger Birk or a trip to Flensburg, are easily accessible. We spent a very relaxing and diverse vacation with three generations. The Schmidts are very kind hosts whom we could approach at any time. Overall, an absolutely recommendable place.

Urlaub in der Wiesenkate

We had the privilege of being the first guests in this beautiful Wiesenkate in 2019 and felt very comfortable there from the beginning. The interior is cozy and the spacious layout makes it easy to stay there even when the weather is not cooperating. The view from all rooms to nature is very relaxing. Excursions in the area are easy to reach. However, we always looked forward to coming "home." The couple Schmidt are very loving and attentive hosts, who are always approachable. We can highly recommend this Wiesenkate for a relaxing holiday in nature and would come back anytime. Family Lenz
