The thatched cottage has a large living area on the ground floor with a living room with open fireplace and sitting area and a living and dining room with old Danish cast iron stove, dining table and sitting area. On the ground floor there are also two small bedrooms (2 beds and 1 bed) as well as the kitchen and 1 bathroom/WC with shower and 1 bathroom/WC with small bath
Upstairs there is a bedroom with a double bed and a separate WC.

Location and surroundings of object
The thatched cottage is located in the middle of a large meadow in the small farming village of Wippendorf. The Baltic Sea with its beautiful sandy beaches and cycling and hiking paths is about 6 kilometres away
Not far away at the north-eastern tip of Angeln is the Geltinger Birk, the largest nature reserve in the area (773 ha).
The town of Kappeln on the Schlei is 10 kilometres away, Schleswig, Flensburg and Eckernförder each about 30km.

Peace in nature
We stayed in this great house for 2 weeks and felt very comfortable. As soon as you enter, you feel at home. We were warmly welcomed by Mrs. Schmidt. The Baltic Sea is only a few kilometers away, and hiking is also possible. Cities such as Flensburg, Kappeln, Glücksburg, and Arnis can also be easily reached by car.

Like a Jane Austen novel
We felt more than at home. Nothing was missing and we were really warmly welcomed. The children also felt really comfortable. Everything is lovingly and comfortably furnished. It brings back nostalgic memories. Many thanks to the Schmidt family, we will be happy to come back.

Ein Ort zur absoluten Entspannung
Wir haben uns auf den Urlaub und vor allem auf die Unterkunft gefreut. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Freundlicher Empfang durch Frau Schmidt. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet. In der Küche konnten wir alles finden, was zur Zubereitung von Speisen nötig war. Wir hatten die Freude, dass gerade Apfel und Birnen-Ernte war und wir frischen Kuchen backen konnten. Geschlafen haben wir wunderbar, Dank der absoluten Ruhe. Wir hatten unsere Räder mit und damit tolle Ausflüge erlebt. Mit oder ohne Fahrrad empfehlen wir: Geltinger Birk, Kappeln, Anis, Schleitour (wir mit dem Rad), Husum und vieles mehr. Nahe an der Ostsee und nur ein überschaubarer Weg zur Nordsee. Was natürlich auf dem Grundstück Super ging, auch mal nix zu planen und das Haus und den großen Garten genießen. Hat man Fragen, steht das Ehepaar Schmidt gerne zur Verfügung. Also rundum ein gelungener Urlaub.

Traumhaft schön!
Wir hatten eine richtig schöne Zeit in dieser tollen Reetdachkate. Herr Schmidt und seine Familie waren immer ansprechbar, der Kontakt war äußerst freundlich. Das Haus und das Grundstück bieten alles, was wir für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt gebraucht haben. Einfach herrlich und unbedingt zu empfehlen! Vielen Dank!

Reetdachidylle
Wir haben eine wunderschöne Zeit in dem liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichteten Haus verbracht. Es fehlt an nichts, das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Im Garten gibt es mehrere Sitzmöglickeiten und auch im Haus kann man sich gut gemütlich an unterschiedlichen Orten niederlassen. Die Küche ist hervorragend ausgestattet, es macht Spaß zu kochen und drinnen oder draußen zu Essen. Für unseren Enkel war es toll, in dem großen Garten zu spielen und herumzutollen. Man kann die schönen Strände gut erreichen, ebenso die Geltinger Birk oder nach Flensburg fahren. So haben wir einen sehr erholsamen und abwechslungsreichen Urlaub mit drei Generationen verbracht. Schmidts sind sehr nette Gastgeber, die wir jederzeit ansprechen konnten. Rundherum ein absolut empfehlenswerter Ort.

Urlaub in der Wiesenkate
Wir hatten 2019 das Privileg die ersten Gäste in dieser schönen Wiesenkate zu sein und haben uns von Anfang an dort sehr wohl gefühlt.
Die Inneneinrichtung ist gemütlich und die großzügige Raumaufteilung machen es leicht,sich dort auch,wenn das Wetter mal nicht so mitspielt aufzuhalten.
Der Blick von allen Zimmern in die Natur ist sehr erholsam.Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung sind gut zu erreichen.
Wir haben uns aber immer auf das"Nach Hause " kommen gefreut.
Das Ehepaar Schmidt sind sehr liebevolle und aufmerksame Gastgeber,die jederzeit ansprechbar sind.
Wir können diese Wiesenkate für einen erholsamen Urlaub in der Natur nur wärmstens empfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.
