Description
We rent out our lovingly renovated little house (80 sqm) in the old town of Marktheidenfeld, only a few steps away from the Main river, as a holiday flat or as accommodation for fitters, trainees or for anyone looking for a temporary place to stay. Unfortunately, a permanent tenancy is not possible.
On the ground floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen, a cosy living room and a large bathroom. On the upper floor, which can be reached via a rather steep staircase, there are three living-bedrooms. The exact equipment of the rooms see below. see photo for floor plan. The living room and the rooms on the first floor have wooden floors.
Bicycles or prams can be safely stored in the former workshop in front of the house. A terrace adjoining the living room and leading to the rear offers an ideal place to relax in the warm months. As smoking is not permitted in the house, smokers have the option of smoking in the courtyard or on the terrace.
We are also happy to welcome families with children. A cot, high chair and lots of toys are available for small children. A safety gate ensures safety on the stairs.
Equipment of the rooms on the ground floor:
Living room with (sofa bed), 2 wicker armchairs, coffee table with 4 integrated stools, wall unit and large flatscreen on the wall.
Kitchen with electric cooker (ceramic hob with 4 cookers, oven), fridge-freezer, sink, dining table, cupboards with large selection of crockery, glasses, pots etc., toaster, kettle, coffee machine.
Bathroom with shower, bathtub, washbasin and (family) WC with built-in child seat and a washing machine.
Equipment of the rooms on the upper floor:
Bedroom with large double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, cot.
Living/bedroom with single bed, coffee table, chest of drawers and TV (passage room)
Bedroom/children's room with bed 140x200, bedside cabinet, desk, table with 2 chairs, shelf
If you would like to stay with us, please note that in the historical part of the building the door heights are only between 170 and 180 cm. Taller people will therefore always have to keep their heads down. However, the room height is normal. In addition, the stairs to the upper floor are quite steep. Therefore, the cottage is unfortunately not suitable for people with physical limitations. As the lane in which our house is situated is very narrow, like all lanes on the Maingasse, only cars can drive in and parking is not possible (stopping to load and unload the car is of course possible). Only a few steps away there are 3 large parking spaces which can be used free of charge.
Overnight prices:
Basic price 70 € for 2 persons, seasonal prices see occupancy calendar
For each additional person we charge 7 €.
If the couch in the living room is also used, a maximum of 6 people + a small child can stay overnight.
Regardless of the length of stay, a one-time cleaning fee of 30 € is added.
For planned longer stays, special conditions can be agreed by arrangement.
By the way, we also offer our apartment via airbnb, where you can find many photos of us to get a better overview of the house and the surroundings. However, since airbnb charges fees to both the tenant and the landlord, a booking here at Ferienhausmiete would be more advisable ,-)

Location and surroundings of object
The accommodation is located in a quiet Maingasse in the centre of Marktheidenfeld, only a few steps away from the Main river. Supermarkets, restaurants, playgrounds, cultural facilities and beer gardens are all within walking distance
Marktheidenfeld is located in the Main-Spessart district (approx. 30 km to Würzburg, approx. 45 km to Aschaffenburg).
The town has a historic old town, a sports centre and many beautiful beer gardens. It is on the edge of the Spessart with many hiking opportunities and attractions ( e.g. Mespelbrunn moated castle). Nearby you will also find a model airfield and a climbing hall (approx. 5 km away). Golfers will get their money's worth on the Marktheidenfeld golf course.
The central location of our accommodation as a starting point to many excursion destinations is praised and appreciated by guests again and again. Frankfurt is less than an hour's drive away, Nuremberg a good hour, and Freizeitland Geiselwind is only about 3/4 of an hour away. The beautiful towns of Lohr ("Snow White Town", approx. 20 km), Wertheim (approx. 17 km), Karlstadt (approx. 17 km) or Rothenfels (Bavaria's smallest town with a castle of the same name, approx. 3 km) can be easily reached by bike and are always worth a trip because of their old and charming town centres.

When arriving, please note that our alley is very narrow. It is best to turn right again from Obertorstrasse down Obere Gasse and park briefly at the Mainkai to unload. Glasergasse is the next door up from Mainkai on the right-hand side, the 2nd door.
