Description
Our flat is located on the Schlei, with direct access to the bathing area. From the balcony you can enjoy the sea breeze, watch fishermen and water sportsmen. In just a few minutes' walk you can reach the harbour, restaurants and a small corner shop. It is also not far to the Baltic Sea.
The flat is on the first floor and consists of a living/dining room with kitchen including access to the balcony. There are two bedrooms, each with adjoining bathrooms (shower/WC). The flat is ideal for four people. It is equipped to a high standard, including TV with DBTV connection and free WLAN as well as a washing machine (in the cellar). A baby travel cot is also available. Bicycles can be stored in the cellar.
The house has an outdoor area/meadow directly on the water for general use.
A parking space belongs to the flat, approx. 3 minutes walk away. Loading and unloading as well as short-term parking in front of the house is possible without any problems.

Location and surroundings of object
Maasholm with the Schlei and the immediate vicinity of the Baltic Sea offers a wealth of opportunities for sporting activities and other leisure activities. The weather in summer is often nicer than you think and the many bathing possibilities, one directly at the house, others at beautiful beaches nearby invite you to cool down and refresh yourself.
The Schlei in front of the house is called Noor and is mostly shallow. An ideal spot for surfers (beginners and advanced). A surf school is located just around the corner.
There is a small fishing harbour in Maasholm. Fresh fish in the good restaurants is therefore guaranteed. Those who value eating home-caught fish have every opportunity to do so. Guests who have their home address outside Schleswig-Holstein can obtain a fishing permit for 40 days even if they do not have a fishing licence.
Maasholm is situated in the beautiful countryside of Angeln. This slightly hilly landscape is ideal for cycling and hiking. You can explore this beautiful landscape via a well-developed network of cycle paths.
If you want to get around on the water under your own power, canoeing and kayaking tours are ideal. If you want to take advantage of the wind, Maasholm and the Schlei are a sailor's paradise. There are boat rentals and sailing schools in Maasholm and Kappeln.

Schleimünde
Here, next to the entrance to the nature reserve, there is the legendary "Giftbude". A pub that can only be reached by boat or excursion steamer from Maasholm harbour. Kappeln
Only 14 km from Maasholm, also easy to reach via the cycle path. The town is very pretty, has great restaurants, many shops and the only herring fence in Germany.
Arnis
The smallest town in Germany. Old houses, cobblestone alleys, pretty harbour, sanding ferry and a stylish coffee and waffle stand right by the ferry.
Sieseby
Small village, about 20 minutes by car. There is a fantastic restaurant here, the Gasthof Alt Sieseby. There is also the home of the writer Jurek Becker (Jacob the Liar).
Schleswig
The state capital can be reached by excursion steamer from Kappeln. The journey takes 4 hours each way. A nice day trip: there by bike and back by boat.
Eckernförde
About 40 km from Maasholm. Great shopping opportunities and a town harbour worth seeing.
Flensburg
Flensburg is an hour's drive from Maasholm. Here you can not only visit your points, but also shop or explore the harbour with the museum ships.
Glücksburg
Germany's northernmost town can also be reached in just under an hour, very romantic! One of the most important Renaissance castles in Northern Europe.
After all this effort, an evening on our balcony with sunset is well deserved.

In Maasholm -Bad (in summer) there are bikes at the entrance of the road to the village, you can just take them and use them!

The best place to fish for cod in Maasholm. Gerd Vögler, the captain of the Mc Fish, takes up to 4 guests out on the Baltic Sea. No longer an insider tip, book early!
Alternatively, take the boat "Antje D" out from Maasholm to fish for cod.
Fishing licence
Tourists can get a fishing permit for up to 40 days a year without a fishing licence (!). You can get all the papers, information and fishing tackle such as bait at the fishing shop in Kappeln harbour.

Relaxation in a cozy apartment with sensational views of the Schlei
In this spacious apartment, we have now spent our second vacation. The apartment is located in a quiet area. No through traffic. From the balcony, you can see directly onto the Schlei. Maasholm invites you to linger or to explore the surrounding Baltic Sea beaches or towns. The apartment offers a perfect starting point for that. The beds are very cozy. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The landlady responds immediately to any concerns. Highly recommended.

Great holiday in beautiful flat
We spent two beautiful weeks in the holiday flat "Schleiseits". The flat is super equipped and offers a really fantastic view of the Schlei.
The landlady is very nice.
From the first request to our departure, everything was very uncomplicated.

The flat belongs to us, the Lutz and Thomas Aigner families. We discovered Maasholm as a holiday destination for ourselves a few years ago. We like to take advantage of the many recreational opportunities ourselves, such as kayaking, fly fishing, cycling and swimming, and we have also tried surfing. During the times when we cannot be in Maasholm, we would like to rent out the flat. We are looking forward to nice contacts.
