Description
Our small holiday home "Notre Rêve" is situated in the quiet district Les Ayguades between Narbonne-Plage and Gruissan in the holiday resort Les Lagunes du Soleil, directly at the blue lagoon and only 400m away from the fantastic sandy beaches of the Gulf of Lyon. In our holiday house with approx. 55 sqm living space over 2 floors you can spend carefree holidays. The house has a tasteful and complete equipment going beyond the local standard. Even with a glass of wine in the evening you can enjoy the evening sun for a long time on the terrace (southwest location) and let your soul dangle. In addition to a fully equipped fitted kitchen, the house has two bedrooms, a living/dining room, a shower room and toilet and a separate guest toilet. On the small second terrace you can sunbathe. Four bicycles are available for our guests and are included in the price. The nearby pool invites you to cool off and is especially popular with children. A private parking lot is in house proximity, approx. 50m away.

Destinations and surroundings: Languedoc-Roussillon is an area full of cultural highlights, breathtaking landscapes and vast national parks. In the countless castles you can experience the exciting past of the Cathars up close. Without a doubt, the castle of Carcassonne is the largest in Europe and takes visitors back in time. Adventures and fairy tale films like Robin Hood and Sleeping Beauty found here the historical background and the ideal scenery. Adventurers and water sports enthusiasts experience unforgettable nature experiences in the canyons and gorges. We especially recommend trips to the Tarn Gorge, to the kayak centre Roquebrun or to the huge gorges of the Ardeche. The Canal du Midi connects the Atlantic with the Mediterranean Sea and is easily accessible from our holiday home. Well-built cycle paths under shady plane trees and idyllic small towns invite you. In many cities, cultural treasures often await the interested visitor. The extensive sandy beaches extend as far as the Spanish border, which are never overcrowded even in midsummer and allow safe bathing. The often well preserved city centres with their imposing old towns offer a special flair. Narbonne with its huge cathedral and Nimes with the largest amphitheatre are certainly highlights. But also the Pont du Gard is probably the most impressive testimony of Roman architecture.
The chain of lakes and the mountain massif of La Clape: the contiguous chain of lakes of the Etang de Ayguades stretches like pearls along the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea. The water area at our holiday home is unique and offers safe water sports of all kinds. Especially the surf station and school at the Etang de Mateille has an excellent equipment. Beginners and advanced learners will find the very best conditions here. The view from the viewing platform of the restaurant of the surf school over the lake chain conveys impressive impressions of a unique sea and lake landscape. Beach walkers, walkers, beach sailers and joggers enjoy the varied landscape and the healthy sea climate.
More than 100 square kilometres in size and designated a nature reserve, the La Clape mountain massif adjacent to the holiday home complex proves to be a unique natural backdrop. Hikers, climbers and mountain bikers get their money's worth here. Climbers will find different levels of difficulty and enjoy the challenges this magnificent rock massif offers under the southern sun.
You can also enjoy the marked cycle paths along the Canal du Midi and the Canal de la Robine. The canals wind their way through beautiful natural landscapes, lined and shaded by centuries-old plantans, and offer holidaymakers unique surprises of flora and fauna. Time seems to have stood still in the villages along the banks and there are beautiful picnic spots everywhere.
But also around our holiday area excellent cycle paths have been created, which invite you again and again to extensive and varied day tours. All shopping facilities are also accessible by bicycle.
We have learned to love this great piece of holiday paradise over the years and are always happy when the journey starts to discover something new in Languedoc.

Arrival to the holiday home: The arrival day takes place after arrangement. The nearest airports are Beziers (35 km), Montpellier (75 km), Girona (150 km) and Barcelona (270 km). From Germany you can fly very cheaply to your holiday destination with Ryan-Air or Easyjet via the airports Dortmund- Barcelona, Düsseldorf/Weeze-Girona/Beziers, Bremen-Girona/Beziers or Magdeburg. Often a combination of flight and car rental is cheaper than travelling with your own vehicle. As a rule, this applies in particular to the mid-season.

Relaxing family vacation
We thoroughly enjoyed our two-week summer vacation in the lovingly furnished and cozy holiday home.
The phone contact in advance with the owner was very pleasant.
The property managers are very friendly and gladly provide information (including in German and French).

Really a little dream
We spontaneously decided to take a vacation in Mrs. Wulfkuhle's cottage. After a friendly phone call with her, the formalities were settled very quickly and easily, so we were able to start our vacation a few days later. The house is beautifully furnished and overall perfectly equipped. The house was very clean, and the key handover with the friendly housekeeper, Madame Théry, went perfectly. The location is perfect: just a few minutes' walk to the lagoon, to the ice cream and crepe stand, where you can also buy baguettes and pastries. It takes less than ten minutes to walk to the dream beach. There are also countless excursion options with very short travel times. We also received many great tips from Ms. Wulfkuhle here.
We would love to come back :)!

Family vacation
We were in Gruissan for two weeks with three children. We really enjoyed it. The region is a dream by the Mediterranean, and the house has the perfect location to spend a quiet and relaxing vacation. If you want action, you can go to the surrounding beaches. We saw a lot, but we agreed that the vacation home has a perfect location and that Gruissan is the most beautiful. We would love to come back.

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus
During the stay in the very well-equipped holiday home, there are no wishes left unfulfilled, short distances to the beach and also short distances to La Clap, perfect for our holiday, especially the local caretaker is always accessible and helpful. Thank you for that.

We discovered this beautiful spot during our student days. At that time still with the motorhome on the way, on the search for the ultimative Surfspot. Since then we have remained true to the region with its unique natural landscape and regularly use our holiday home ourselves. In spring and autumn we enjoy the walks and bicycle tours through the massif of La Clape, combined with unique views of the Mediterranean Sea. You won't find bed castles and building sins here. Nature is untouched. Beaches are spacious and safe and very popular with families with children. And at the end of the day you can simply enjoy the setting sun with a glass of wine on the terrace or in the numerous restaurants in the old town of Gruissan, which is absolutely worth seeing.
