Our small holiday home "Notre Rêve" is situated in the quiet district Les Ayguades between Narbonne-Plage and Gruissan in the holiday resort Les Lagunes du Soleil, directly at the blue lagoon and only 400m away from the fantastic sandy beaches of the Gulf of Lyon. In our holiday house with approx. 55 sqm living space over 2 floors you can spend carefree holidays. The house has a tasteful and complete equipment going beyond the local standard. Even with a glass of wine in the evening you can enjoy the evening sun for a long time on the terrace (southwest location) and let your soul dangle. In addition to a fully equipped fitted kitchen, the house has two bedrooms, a living/dining room, a shower room and toilet and a separate guest toilet. On the small second terrace you can sunbathe. Four bicycles are available for our guests and are included in the price. The nearby pool invites you to cool off and is especially popular with children. A private parking lot is in house proximity, approx. 50m away.

Destinations and surroundings: Languedoc-Roussillon is an area full of cultural highlights, breathtaking landscapes and vast national parks. In the countless castles you can experience the exciting past of the Cathars up close. Without a doubt, the castle of Carcassonne is the largest in Europe and takes visitors back in time. Adventures and fairy tale films like Robin Hood and Sleeping Beauty found here the historical background and the ideal scenery. Adventurers and water sports enthusiasts experience unforgettable nature experiences in the canyons and gorges. We especially recommend trips to the Tarn Gorge, to the kayak centre Roquebrun or to the huge gorges of the Ardeche. The Canal du Midi connects the Atlantic with the Mediterranean Sea and is easily accessible from our holiday home. Well-built cycle paths under shady plane trees and idyllic small towns invite you. In many cities, cultural treasures often await the interested visitor. The extensive sandy beaches extend as far as the Spanish border, which are never overcrowded even in midsummer and allow safe bathing. The often well preserved city centres with their imposing old towns offer a special flair. Narbonne with its huge cathedral and Nimes with the largest amphitheatre are certainly highlights. But also the Pont du Gard is probably the most impressive testimony of Roman architecture.
The chain of lakes and the mountain massif of La Clape: the contiguous chain of lakes of the Etang de Ayguades stretches like pearls along the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea. The water area at our holiday home is unique and offers safe water sports of all kinds. Especially the surf station and school at the Etang de Mateille has an excellent equipment. Beginners and advanced learners will find the very best conditions here. The view from the viewing platform of the restaurant of the surf school over the lake chain conveys impressive impressions of a unique sea and lake landscape. Beach walkers, walkers, beach sailers and joggers enjoy the varied landscape and the healthy sea climate.
More than 100 square kilometres in size and designated a nature reserve, the La Clape mountain massif adjacent to the holiday home complex proves to be a unique natural backdrop. Hikers, climbers and mountain bikers get their money's worth here. Climbers will find different levels of difficulty and enjoy the challenges this magnificent rock massif offers under the southern sun.
You can also enjoy the marked cycle paths along the Canal du Midi and the Canal de la Robine. The canals wind their way through beautiful natural landscapes, lined and shaded by centuries-old plantans, and offer holidaymakers unique surprises of flora and fauna. Time seems to have stood still in the villages along the banks and there are beautiful picnic spots everywhere.
But also around our holiday area excellent cycle paths have been created, which invite you again and again to extensive and varied day tours. All shopping facilities are also accessible by bicycle.
We have learned to love this great piece of holiday paradise over the years and are always happy when the journey starts to discover something new in Languedoc.

Arrival to the holiday home: The arrival day takes place after arrangement. The nearest airports are Beziers (35 km), Montpellier (75 km), Girona (150 km) and Barcelona (270 km). From Germany you can fly very cheaply to your holiday destination with Ryan-Air or Easyjet via the airports Dortmund- Barcelona, Düsseldorf/Weeze-Girona/Beziers, Bremen-Girona/Beziers or Magdeburg. Often a combination of flight and car rental is cheaper than travelling with your own vehicle. As a rule, this applies in particular to the mid-season.

Absolutely recommendable!
We spent 2 beautiful weeks in this beautiful holiday home in August 2022 with 2 adults and 3 children. Thanks to the great advance service and the super travel tips from the landlady, we arrived full of anticipation and were absolutely not disappointed. The house is equipped to a high standard, very clean and in really good condition
The area directly around the house is pleasantly quiet. The lovingly planted and decorated terrace is very inviting and the pool just around the corner is just great for a cool down in between. August 2022 was very hot and stuffy. Fortunately, the house is also equipped with 2 fans. The surrounding area is very charming. There are restaurants, markets and shopping just around the corner. The sea is just a few minutes' walk away, there are many towns nearby worth visiting with lots of culture, the southern French way of life, history and the charming countryside offers countless excursion options.
The area is also great for water sports. We had a SUB with us, which can be used in the lagoon and by the sea. In the second week we had a strong wind, which is ideal for windsurfing and kiting.
For us, this holiday home was a real stroke of luck. Everything is right here to enjoy a beautiful, varied and comfortable holiday. We will be happy to come back!

Highly recommended!
We spent two lovely weeks in Gruissan. The holiday home has everything you need and we felt very comfortable there with four people. The beach is only a stone's throw away, restaurants and shops are within walking distance and with the bicycles you are also mobile. Gruissan is a pretty town with a lot of flair and the surrounding area offers numerous excursion possibilities. The contact with the landlady was warm, uncomplicated and smooth. A clear recommendation!

The description and the pictures correspond exactly to what you can expect there.

Sehr gut ausgestattetes Ferienhaus
Das Ferienhaus ist mit allem ausgestattet was man im Alltag braucht, es wurde an alles gedacht. Es ist sehr gepflegt und sauber. Die Lage innerhalb der Anlage ist prima, man bekommt vom Parkplatz so gut wie nichts mit, hat aber trotzdem nicht weit zum eigenen Parkplatz. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter und der Hausverwaltung war ganz unkompliziert und freundlich. Gerne wieder.

Wir haben tolle 2 Wochen dort verbracht. Es handelt sich vermutlich um eins der besten Häuser in Bereich Les Aygueades. ...und wir haben schon einige dort gemietet.
Es ist alles vorhanden, von Spülmaschine und Mikrowelle, Backofen, Waschmaschine etc etc. ..kleines Manko ist vielleicht der etwas zu kleine Kühlschrank, aber das ist "Kritik auf hohen Niveau".

Einfach perfekt!
Wir können uns den früheren Bewertungen nur anschließen. Der Kontakt zur Fam.W. war super, alles unkompliziert und schnell geregelt.
Das Häuschen liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet( man braucht von zu Hause praktisch nichts ,außer Kleidung, mitzunehmen: kein Geschirr, keine Strandsachen, keine Unterhaltungsgegenstände -alles da).
Der Strand ist weitläufig, das Meer -eher kalt, es ist oft windig, alternativ kann man mit den Fahrrädern zum Strand in der Lagune nach Gruissan fahren(ca 20Min.) , da ist es ruhiger, das Wasser ist wärmer.
Zahlreiche Ausflugsziele gibt es in der Umgebung-unbedingt nutzen!

Notre rêve = un rêve
Der Name des kleinen Häuschens hält was es verspricht !
Es ist wirklich ein kleiner Traum.
Wir Drei und unsere zwei Vierbeiner haben uns dort richtig wohl gefühlt und den Urlaub genossen. Vom Haus, über den Strand und den dort gebotenen Möglichkeiten, vom nahegelegnen Gruissan bis über das lebendige Narbonne, oder das unglaubliche Carcassonne, alles war richtig toll.

Abwechslungsreicher Urlaub
Zuallererst muss ich den netten Kontakt zu Frau Wulfkuhle erwähnen. So bemühte und nette Vermieter hatten wir noch nie. Ein Dank nochmal an dieser Stelle!
Das Haus, in dem wir 2 Wochen verbrachten, ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Geschirr, Besteck ist in mehr als ausreichendem Maße vorhanden! Mein Mann war kurz davor, mir anlässlich meines Geburtstages, den ich während unseres Urlaubes feierte, einen Kuchen zu backen. Nur 38 Grad Außentemperatur konnten ihn stoppen.
Die Küche hätte es hergegeben.
Spiele, gute (!) Bücher, Beschreibung der Umgebung, Fernseher, eine kleine Musikanlage, alles vorhanden!
Die Terasse ist sehr gemütlich, der Oleander ist so hoch und dicht, dass man vom Weg aus nicht gesehen wird, wenn man draußen sitzt.
Sowohl ein Elektro-, als auch ein Kohlegrill stehen zur Verfügung.
Wir waren sowohl in der Lagune, als auch im Meer schwimmen. Die Lagune hatten wir bis zum nachmittag fast für uns allein!
Auch der nahe Strand war nie überlaufen! Im Gegenteil. Es gab noch nichtmal eine 3. Reihe.
Allerdings: Das Mittelmeer ist an dieser Stelle selbst im August keine "Badewanne". Sprich: Die Temperatur lag deutlich unter dem, was ich erwartet habe.
Das war nicht schlimm, denn bei 38 Grad war eine Abkühlung durchaus willkommen.
Allerdings blies an manchen Tagen ein sehr starker Wind, so dass ein Strandbesuch nicht in Frage kam.
Es wäre aber auch zu schade gewesen, hätte man den Urlaub ausschließlich am Strand verbracht, bei dieser Umgebung!
Gruissan selbst ist sehr hüsch, vor allem mit dem kleinen Markt, der sich 3 x wöchentlich durch die Gassen zieht. Vom Barbarossa-Turm aus hat man einen schönen Blick über die Landschaft!
Narbonne in 15 km Entfernung ist auch sehr sehenswert, ganz zu schweigen von Carcassonne, das man unbedingt gesehen haben sollte, wenn man in dieser Gegend Urlaub macht.
Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in ca. 6-10 minütiger Entfernung (Intermarché + Lidl) oder in Narbonne (Carrefour), ca. 15 km.
Fazit: Ein schöner, abwechslungsreicher Urlaub.

Wunderschönes Haus

Traumhaft in ruhiger Lage
Wir waren für zwei Wochen in dem sehr schönen Ferienhaus und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist ein idealer Ort zur Entspannung.
Das Haus ist perfekt ausgestattet mit einer sehr netten und einladenden Einrichtung und hat eine super Lage: Nur weniger Meter zum See/Lagune und weniger als 10 Minuten Fußweg zum kilometerlangen Sandstrand.
Eine Bäckerei und ein Restaurant sind nur wenige Meter entfernt.
Vom Haus aus lassen sich auch ideal Fahrradtouren durch die schöne Region rund um Gruissan/Narbonne starten oder Wanderungen durch das anliegende Gebirge La Clape mit schönen Wein Châteaus starten.
Insgesamt war es eine tolle Zeit und wir kommen gerne wieder.

We discovered this beautiful spot during our student days. At that time still with the motorhome on the way, on the search for the ultimative Surfspot. Since then we have remained true to the region with its unique natural landscape and regularly use our holiday home ourselves. In spring and autumn we enjoy the walks and bicycle tours through the massif of La Clape, combined with unique views of the Mediterranean Sea. You won't find bed castles and building sins here. Nature is untouched. Beaches are spacious and safe and very popular with families with children. And at the end of the day you can simply enjoy the setting sun with a glass of wine on the terrace or in the numerous restaurants in the old town of Gruissan, which is absolutely worth seeing.
