Here is Ferragudo, a small fishing village (inhabitants) about 45 minutes away from Faro airport. Although no travel guide in Portugal lacks a picture of the 'charming fishing village', it has retained its ambience and has been spared from mass tourism.
In the cobbled streets you will find peace and quiet and on the market square you will experience the Mediterranean serenity that guarantees you a peaceful and peaceful holiday. In the heart of the small fishing village our stylishly furnished holiday resort fits like an "Oasis" into a narrow picturesque alley. Six very well equipped holiday homes are grouped around a magnificent Mediterranean garden with swimming pool. These holiday homes can be rented individually or together.

Our objects are designed for families, but also for groups looking for a quiet and energetically pleasant environment.
Casa Azul is an approx. 40 m² (living space) large building (year of construction 2010) and has a cosy outside terrace
It is equipped with kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living room. The equipment is high-quality, the house was prepared with much love to the detail.
For a small fee there is the possibility to use a sauna.
The market place and the "Praia Grande" can be reached in about 5 minutes on foot, further fantastic beaches nearby.

Location and surroundings of object
The property is located in a quiet area near the centre of Ferragudo in a typical alley. It is very tastefully furnished. The pool area and the sauna area invite you to relax and unwind. A very well maintained facility rounds off the harmonious picture. We recommend our customers to rent a car, because the Algarve is very worth seeing. Of course we are gladly helpful with the switching.
The fishing village of Ferragudo is one of the most tranquil and inexpensive places in the Algarve. The maze of narrow alleys and winding staircases conveys a genuine, unadulterated impression of Portuguese mentality. In front of the whitewashed houses decorated with flowers, the women often wash their clothes, and at noon sardines are grilled. In the "Aunt Emma shops" (Mini-Mercados) the shopping is done. The people are always friendly and helpful
In the market hall you can buy fresh fish, seafood and fruit every day. For bulk shopping, there is a Lidl supermarket at the entrance to the village. Particularly worth seeing is the small church in the upper part of the village. One has a wide view over the harbour entrance of Portimão and to the Atlantic Ocean. Here you will not find sterile concrete blocks or impersonal hotel complexes, but luxurious villas, houses, cosy apartments and excellent holiday resorts
The market place is the meeting place for locals and visitors. There are cozy cafes, small pubs and bars with beer gardens, young people are also well looked after here. Here you will also find the post office, a bank and a large selection of restaurants, from typical Portuguese to international cuisine, but also pizzerias and chicken roasters. Every weekend in summer there is a Portuguese festival, which reminds of a big family celebration, also the monthly flea market is worthwhile

The beaches of Ferragudo
In the estuary of the Rio Arade there is the extensive, fine sandy beach PRAIA GRANDE, which is separated from the open sea by the pier. Further on you reach PRAIA DO MOLHE and PRAIA DA PINTADINHO. The most beautiful beach is the PRAIA DOS CANEIROS. There you will find the rocky coves that are so typical of this coast. All beaches have various beach bars. Not to forget the impressive cliff walks along the coast, which should be done early in the morning if possible.
You can choose from a wide range of events such as diving, golf, tennis, fishing, sailing, canoeing, big game fishing, aquaparks, zoo, excursions to Lisbon and Seville, concerts, exhibitions, etc. We would be pleased to inform you about all possibilities in advance of your booking.
