Description

The 'Ferienhaus Nordlicht' in Geeste is the perfect accommodation for a stress-free vacation with your loved ones. The 75 m² facility consists of a living and dining room, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, 2 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom with sauna (€1 coins are necessary for the sauna. €1 to start and for each additional half hour) and thus accommodates 4 people. The facilities also include high-speed Wi-Fi (suitable for video calls), cable TV, a washing machine, as well as children's books and toys. Furthermore, a private sauna is available for your use. We can provide you with a baby cot and a high chair. The highlight of this accommodation is the private outdoor area with a garden, a covered terrace, and a grill. For relaxation or even sports activities, you can find the reservoir nearby with great opportunities for long walks or bike rides. There is also a nice restaurant right by the reservoir with a view of the lake. Furthermore, the cities of Lingen or Meppen offer great shopping opportunities.
Parking is available on the property under the carport, and free parking can be found on the street.
Pets are not allowed. Storage options for bicycles or a motorcycle are available in the shed (next to the carport).

Something for everyone

We felt very comfortable in the lovingly modern, functional, very clean, and comfortably furnished house. Especially suitable for cyclists, the area is very beautiful, and there are many bike paths, with little traffic when there aren't any.

Great well-maintained house in a quiet location

We were here to escape the New Year's Eve hustle and relax in the sauna. That worked out wonderfully.
The house is very clean, well-maintained, and tastefully decorated. The hosts are very friendly and easy to reach.
The equipment is neat and there is generally nothing missing here. In our opinion, for example, the cutlery could be of slightly higher quality, but these are minor details that would have made the nice stay perfect. It should also be mentioned that the sauna costs €1 per 30 minutes; it is worth it and reasonable considering the energy costs.
However, you need to know that you must have the appropriate amount of coins with you.
If we want to go on vacation in the area again, we would love to come back to Nordlicht.

Super huis

We, the three of us, stayed in this cottage for 10 days. Upon arrival, it was immediately noticeable that it was exceptionally clean and well-furnished. We had forgotten the coffee, but that was no issue as there was a jar of coffee in the kitchen cabinet. Everything was well-stocked and more than sufficient. Good beds and a nice shower. Our daughter wanted to use the sauna, and that was also nearly perfect. You have to start the sauna with euros, and it took a while before the temperature was right, but definitely not a negative point. The surrounding area for cycling is also great. All in all, had a very nice holiday. Also very suitable for, for example, wheelchair users.

Top holiday home!!

I felt really comfortable here. The cottage is absolutely clean and very cozy and tastefully decorated. You feel right at home. The garden is nice and big and sunny, and most importantly, there are no neighbors opposite, as it is right next to a small forest.

Vacation in the holiday home Nordlicht in Geeste

We were allowed to spend our vacation at the Nordlicht holiday home of the Weege family from 19.03-26.03.2022.

We were warmly welcomed by the son of the landlord and given all necessary information. A comprehensive information folder left no questions unanswered.
Thank you once again for the flower greeting and the Hugo.

We immediately felt at home. The impression was reinforced by the loving decoration throughout the house, which matched our taste perfectly. A home interior not off the rack like in some vacation houses.
The house is located in a quiet holiday park with various house designs.
The complete equipment of the house with extensive kitchen facilities, appealing furniture, sauna, and well-kept garden with lots of privacy, comfortable garden furniture, leaves nothing to be desired. No expenses were spared.
The property is fenced, so even small children can play safely. The area around Geeste with the reservoir is a paradise for cyclists and hikers.

The cities of Lingen and Meppen, both easily reachable by bike, invite you to linger. A definite must is a visit to the Moor Museum and the Krone restaurant in Geeste. We will gladly come back.
