The spacious, bright and friendly holiday flat MARTHA is located in the sunny basement with directly adjacent large terrace (32 sqm, west side) and separate entrance. You have approx. 55 sqm of living space at your disposal. The combined living and dining room has large terrace windows and a fully equipped fitted kitchen with microwave, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, fridge with freezer and a separate dining area for 4 guests. You also have satellite TV, CD radio and WLAN. The two separate bedrooms each have two double beds and enough storage space. You also have a friendly bathroom with shower/WC and a wardrobe with further storage space. The outdoor terrace is equipped with garden furniture, a beach chair and a barbecue. A parking space is available on the property. In the garden, children can romp around on the small playground.

In the village itself you will find a fish smokehouse with a bistro, a Russian restaurant and an inn with regional cuisine. In the neighbouring village you will find a variety of sports and leisure activities such as horse riding, tennis, boccia, inline skating, mini golf and the Splash-Therme: the 1000 m2 bathing paradise with sauna/wellness incl. outdoor pool and giant slide. The most beautiful beach on Rügen, the Schaabe, is only a five-minute drive away.

I am a family-friendly host! I appreciate guests with children, so I am happy to offer additional services especially for families with children: cots , and high chair, children's cutlery / crockery are available on prior request (partly for a fee). In addition, you can use the small playground in the garden with children's playhouse, slide, sandpit, children's trampoline and lots of small toys. You live very quietly, the property is off the road - the children can move freely in the fenced garden.

Cycling friends welcome!: Cycling through nature is becoming increasingly popular in Germany - so you can experience the tranquillity and all the beauty and diversity of the island of Rügen on your bike. At almost any time of the year you can find a secluded spot, have a chat along the way and focus your senses on the closeness to nature. In recent years, the network of cycle paths on the island of Rügen has steadily expanded and is complemented by idyllic field and forest paths, especially in the north of the island. There is a bicycle rental shop nearby in Glowe and the public transport system has adapted to Rügen's cyclists with special bicycle trailers. From Polchow you can start directly to the nearby Jasmund National Park, to Mukran, Ralswiek or to the sandy beach of the Schaabe / Glowe. We are happy to help you find the most beautiful cycling tours, picnic areas and rest stops

Störtebeker fans take note: ( for 2021 the play season is unfortunately cancelled) The Störtebeker Festival on the island of Rügen is held every year from mid-June to early September on the natural stage in Ralswiek and is one of the island's visitor magnets. The play with about 120 participants, various ships, over 30 horses and numerous special effects, tells the story of the legendary pirate "Klaus Störtebeker' and offers entertainment at the highest level. Enjoy an evening in front of the fantastic backdrop of the Great Jasmund Bodden, which rounds off the spectacle of the 'Störtebeker Festival' with its evening atmosphere and fireworks over the Jasmund Bodden will be unforgettable for you. You stay directly opposite Ralswiek on the other shore of the Bodden. If you feel like it, you can watch the evening fireworks from the garden every evening.

Great family vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation at Klinkerhus / Apartment Martha.
The children loved the large idyllic garden and the beautiful terrace.
In terms of location, you can quickly reach shopping possibilities and the beach by car or bike (our favorite here was Schaabe :-) ).
On one hand, there are beautiful hiking opportunities in nature, on the other hand, you can also quickly get to the larger Baltic Sea resorts. The landlord Mr. Knoren always took care of our concerns and was very friendly.
The island, the beach, and the nature are an experience and definitely worth the trip!
It was a great vacation that we will not forget.

Great accommodation

We felt very comfortable in the very tastefully furnished and well-equipped apartment. The apartment has a beautiful terrace from which you can look into the lovingly laid out garden.
The apartment is quietly located on the outskirts of the village and is a good starting point for many different excursions. Especially in autumn, the immediate surroundings offer fantastic nature experiences with the resting cranes and roaring deer. We met Mr. Knoren as a very friendly and helpful host.

Rügen is a great island!

It was a lovely vacation. Rügen is a great island! The contact with Mr. Knoren was always very friendly.
The apartment is equipped with everything you need. The internet is top-notch! The garden is beautiful and offers space for a small table tennis match or a little football game.

Beautiful nature, comfort and tranquility

The apartment is very nice and harmoniously furnished in a country style. We didn't miss anything in the kitchenette with a very good filter coffee machine. The large terrace doors and the high-quality fly screens in the bedroom and on the terrace are great. Those who love firm mattresses sleep well in the beds. The large garden and terrace are beautiful: flowers, birds, bees, in the evenings the hedgehog and the bats.
The village of Polchow is very quiet and well-kept. The landscape on the Jasmund Bodden is beautiful for walking and hiking, or for cycling.

The holiday apartment is perfectly equipped and very clean, we didn't miss anything.
We enjoyed the silence and tranquility.

Felt all around comfortable

The arrival was easy thanks to good directions from the owner. The narrow driveway was a challenge. The apartment was clean and cozy. The rooms matched the pictures in the listing. However, the second small room only has a skylight to the living room and is therefore quite dark.
The house has a large garden with a table tennis table, trampoline, sandpit, and more. We were very happy about that. The terrace of the apartment faces south, which gave us many sunny dinners. The beach chair on the terrace invited us to chill. Since the location of Plochow is off the beaten path, it was very quiet. Hardly any car noise or other disturbances could be heard. Thanks to some well-built bike paths, we were just minutes away in Sagard for bread or at the beach in Glowe. After a few days, we also got to know the friendly landlords. They were very helpful and dedicated on the phone before. I guess we won't be there for the last time.

Relax in peace.

A very beautifully and practically furnished, absolutely clean apartment with a wonderful garden including a large terrace. Located off the "main road" to Jasmund and Cape Arkona, very quiet on the outskirts of the village. At the same time, very central on the island, many highlights such as the Jasmund National Park and lesser-known spots are quickly accessible, especially for hikers. Very friendly landlord, always helpful but never "intrusive." We had a great time, therefore: Absolutely recommended!

very nice holiday apartment

We felt very comfortable and were very satisfied. The apartment was very clean, cozy, and has everything you need. We also really liked the terrace, the garden is wonderful, and we were lucky to be able to watch the cranes flying to their resting place at the Bodden in the morning and evening from the house. We ate delicious fish twice at the Jasmunder Boddenrestaurant in the village and took many great trips from the apartment. The location was perfect. The landlord is very accommodating, straightforward, helpful, and very friendly.

Highly recommended / Extra star

If you are looking for a place for relaxation, peace, and closeness to nature, Klinkerhus/Ferienwohnung Martha is the right choice. It is beautiful to see the cranes flying to their resting place in the evening light. In the small village of Polchow, there is no through traffic. Excursion destinations, dining, and shopping options are easily accessible. The rental by Mr. Knoren is very organized. We felt well-informed and warmly welcomed. The holiday apartment is very well equipped and cozy. There is a wonderful view of the adjacent large garden, which invites you to linger. Children are particularly taken care of, as well as in the equipment of the apartment. Changing facilities, children's dishes, picture books, playhouse with play equipment in the garden, etc., pleased us very much and deserve an extra star. We will definitely come back here for a vacation and thank the Knoren family.

Away from the hustle and bustle in a very beautiful apartment.

We spent two wonderful weeks in Polchow, which extends off the road to Glowe to the Bodden, far away from any hustle and bustle. The house is quietly situated, surrounded by greenery. There is space for a sun terrace, table tennis, and playing football with the kids. There is also the significantly larger brick house on the same property. The holiday apartment is well-equipped, everything is comfortably furnished and very clean. The host is very accommodating and communicative, always ready with helpful tips. Along the 8 km long beach of the Schaabe, there was always a good place for parking and plenty of space on the wide beach. It was a 5 km bike ride to the beach in Glowe for a morning jog, but through charming nature. Shopping options are available 4 km away at several discount stores. Restaurants can be found in Polchow. Trips to Cape Arkona or to the chalk cliffs by car or on rented bicycles are a must. Concerts in churches and artists on the island. . . everything fit perfectly. Thank you very much for the wonderful time.

very nice apartment with great garden and friendly landlord

Beautifully furnished, well-maintained apartment, which also has a beautiful large terrace with a view of the even more beautiful garden, where our children could play wonderfully. We hardly heard anything from the tenants above us, the house seems to be well insulated, and the terraces are located on different sides in the outdoor area, so that there is no interference. We had actually been looking for accommodation within walking distance to the beach, but the quiet location and beautiful garden made up for it well, and by car, you are quickly at the beach anyway.
The landlord was very friendly and accommodating and, for example, immediately fulfilled our request regarding bedding.
Highly recommended.

Nice holiday apartment with terrace and large garden in a quiet location.

Highly recommended for 2 adults, the children's bedroom is a bit small and without a window. We were there without children and used the room as a storage area. This gave us more space in the bedroom. Otherwise, nothing was missing, the landlord H. Knoren is very friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the peace away from the crowds.

A gem on the island of Mallorca.

With the holiday apartment "Martha" we found accommodation in a stylish ambiance with a modern kitchenette and equipment. Not only the large terrace - but also the view invited us to cozy evenings every night.
Our older child used the large farmer's garden with plenty of play options to climb, play ball, and romp around.
The picturesque village of Polchow on the Bodden is a gem of its kind, just as everyone seeks it for a holiday in nature. We highly recommend the vacation rental "Martha" and would definitely stay here again anytime.

Here you can enjoy the rural tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of the Glow tourist area and yet be right in the middle of the action. The tranquillity and location - 1 A! I have lovingly furnished and equipped my holiday home. Just as I would imagine and choose my holiday accommodation. I live nearby on the small Jasmund Bodden. I love the view of the Baltic Sea, the rugged coastline, the adjacent fields, the Jasmund Bodden, the Hiddensee lighthouse and much more. What makes this accommodation unique unique view of the Great Jasmund Bodden, the fireworks of the Störtebeker Festival in Ralswiek, the Hiddensee lighthouse . Quiet location away from the tourist crowds and the thoroughfare. Large cottage garden .
