On the scenic Costa Brava on the Spanish Mediterranean coast and only 50 km behind the Franco-Spanish border, is our holiday home. The bay of Roses is the first bay with a sandy beach in Spain for all travelers. The northern bays all have pebble beaches. The surroundings are both the foothills of the Eastern Pyrenees and the Mediterranean, so that one finds a beautiful juxtaposition of mountains and sea. Also, the panorama of the bay offers much to the eye. The view does not move to the open sea, but there is "another side" on which the illuminated houses can be seen every evening.

Beautiful view and good location for a relaxing stay
We rented this apartment for 4 nights.
It may not be suitable for very demanding guests.
However, it is suitable for someone who only needs it for normal domestic use.
The view from the balcony on the upper floor is really great. Down in the courtyard, there is space for eating, relaxing, and grilling.
The room with the double bed is cozy and comfortable. The room with two single beds is comfortable for children, but less suitable for an adult – one quickly gets back pain in the morning.
The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to prepare breakfast or more. The coffee machine is only for filter coffee.
There is no air conditioning, only a fan. The sofa in the living room is old and damaged.
A television with German programs for children is available.
On a scale from 1 to 10, we give a 7. ? ? Another advantage: The parking facility is located directly beneath the apartment.
To get to the beach, you need to drive.
You can walk down, but it's quite a climb.
You can find a parking space near the beach for €10 per day, but you need to go by 10 a.m. to get a spot.
Restaurants and a shop are located across the street from the paid parking lot.

Once and never again
We have been to Spain many times, but we have never experienced anything like this. Before we even went on vacation, we had to call the landlord multiple times to ensure we received the key on time before our planned departure. Upon arrival, we were greeted right in front of the entrance door with glass shards lying all over the floor. Inside the house, it was very dirty and musty everywhere, so we first had to do a basic cleaning. The toilet was heavily soiled and smelled unpleasant, the bedding stank (luckily we had our own), the floor was dirty and the dishes and glasses were not clean, which is why we didn't cook there. The furniture has definitely seen better days. We left our laundry in the suitcase; when opening the wardrobe in the bedroom, a smell comes out that is beyond good and evil... we were really annoyed that we had booked ourselves here. We left the house cleaner than we received it, and as a crowning touch, there was an attempt to withhold the deposit without any justification...

Bulky waste charm with mold
ADDENDUM!!!
Here, five stars were accidentally awarded for the price-performance ratio! Of course, we give zero stars for this, because Mr. Maetzing should refund us the money for even staying in this dump! If we were here without our 13-year-old son, who was so looking forward to his vacation, we would have left immediately! We have no choice but to endure this!
