Description
This family-friendly private house is located on the largest inland island in Europe, Monte-Isola in Lake Iseo, about 600 km from Stuttgart, between Bergamo and Brescia.
With 78 sqm of living space, 22 sqm of terraces and 360 sqm of fenced property directly on the lake, it offers space for a maximum of 6 people and a baby. Two bedrooms, bathroom with shower and tub, separate WC, spacious well-equipped kitchen and a large living-dining area make the stay pleasant even on one of the few rainy days.
The functional furnishings (mostly Ikea) also include comfort items such as microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, baby travel cot, sun loungers, air conditioning, bicycles, digital SAT TV,

Location and surroundings of object
The own property is fenced. A private concrete access allows easy entry into the lake even at low tide.
The centre of Carzano and the ferry landing are 400 metres away.
The house is located on the east coast of the island, in the bay south of Carzano (see map). Therefore, it is usually not too hot even in high summer. From midday onwards there is usually a refreshing thermal.
Carzano is a small village with 200 inhabitants and an almost medieval, narrow architecture. You simply have to fall in love with this place!
The ferry to the mainland leaves every 20-30 minutes, at night usually every hour.
Lake Iseo is not yet overrun by tourism, like Lake Garda. Every 5 years, from 14 September to the following weekend, the "Santa Croce" festival takes place in Carzano, when the whole of Carzano is wrapped in a sea of deceptively real paper flowers. This splendour is absolutely worth seeing! The next Santa Croce will take place in 2020.

A great house in a beautiful location
Situated directly on the lake, with its own access to the water, close to the village on a well-maintained plot.
A simple house that shows the care of the owners. If you are looking for relaxation, this is the place for you. Dining room and terrace facing the lake offer a beautiful view. Renovated bathrooms, complete kitchen, washing machine, TV with German channels, leave hardly anything to be desired
If you are looking for disco, promenade or high society, you are probably wrong here
If you want to enjoy nature experiences, peace and quiet, day trips in relaxing nature, whether on the lake or in the mountains, this is the place for you
Nice owners, whom we did not meet personally, but who always made us feel welcome, complete the positive picture.
The friendly German neighbouring couple is happy to help with tips about the island, gastronomy, shopping, etc.

My father-in-law was a shoe wholesaler for Italian shoes. Through this he learned in 1961 that lake properties were being sold at Lake Iseo and built the little house. We took over the house, which had been extended in the meantime, in 1997 and renovated it bit by bit. Since then, we spend a holiday there twice a year with our children.
