shabby, dirty, old, and smelly
It is less of a guesthouse and more of a multi-room apartment where the rooms are rented out individually, and there is a shared kitchen and bathroom. Unfortunately, all surfaces, dishes, and cutlery were sticky, there was no hot water tap in the kitchen, and only one knife could be found. The toilet smelled of urine and the whole apartment reeked of stale smoke (even though you were asked in advance whether you are a smoker or non-smoker). Actually, you don't want to know where that comes from. A simple room should not really be equated with shabby and worn-out... but that's the only way to describe it. and not just because the linoleum floor covering in the kitchen and bathroom was temporarily fixed with thumbtacks behind the sink, or because a piece of cut-out shower curtain was also pinned to the bathroom window with thumbtacks. In the hallway, there were various light switches, but none of them worked, and the TV buzzed loudly, with the picture completely green and unacceptable. All in all, you actually don't want to touch anything and just leave as quickly as possible. Luckily, I had only booked one night, during which I slept so poorly that I woke up every half hour.

No hot water and still no reduction in rent
We just wanted to have a nice weekend in Nuremberg and then this: There may be different opinions about the very outdated furnishings and that small things like a towel holder or a toilet paper stand are missing... ok, but the fact that the boiler doesn't work and we had no hot water and couldn't shower is very unpleasant. When the landlord is not even willing to consider a rent reduction or something similar, that is an absolute no-go for me! We felt so uncomfortable there that we only stayed for one night instead of the two nights we had booked.
