Description

Very beautiful and comfortably furnished vacation home. It was designed very lovingly, so you can feel completely at ease. The house is located directly behind the dyke. It's just a short walk to the beach of the North Sea coast and to the heated saltwater outdoor pool. Our house accommodates 3 people. Bedroom with double bed 140x200, in the 2nd bedroom you will find a comfortable single bed 90x200, armchair, and small table. The house has a fireplace and free Wi-Fi. The bathroom is fully tiled, the rest of the house has vinyl flooring, laminate, and parquet. In the living room, you will find satellite TV, stereo system, DVD player, DVDs, and games. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, stove with ceramic hob and oven, coffee maker, pad machine, toaster, kettle, and everything else you need. Bathroom with shower and toilet. Secluded south-west terrace with garden furniture, garden with outdoor fireplace/grill, and beach chair. Car parking space directly at the house. There is the possibility to store sports equipment and bicycles brought along in the garage. The holiday home is not suitable for holiday guests with more than one dog. Handcarts and scooters are provided free of charge. Use is at the renters' own risk.

Location and surroundings of object

The holiday home is located in a holiday bungalow park directly behind the dyke. Dornumersiel in East Frisia between the coastal towns of Neßmersiel and Bensersiel is one of the most popular coastal towns in Germany. Not far from Aurich Norden and Emden, you can enjoy a real holiday here. Depending on your own taste, relaxing or eventful or even both. Either way: here you can experience a pure holiday! Dornumersiel is a state-recognised spa resort and belongs to the municipality of Dornum. There is a large sandy beach with beach chairs and playground equipment. Shopping facilities and restaurants are nearby, well-developed cycle paths, various sports and leisure facilities in the vicinity: fishing, bathing, beach volleyball, cycling, skating, horse riding, surfing, hiking, kite flying, etc. The heated seawater swimming pool surrounded by sunbathing lawns and a tennis court round off the extensive offer. Long, well-maintained cycle paths lead along the dikes. Always close to the water, you can explore the other sights of the coast. The fishing harbour with its crab boats offers the opportunity to go on fishing trips or buy freshly caught fish directly in the harbour, in addition to the hustle and bustle. The Mahlbusen (old harbour) offers you extensive opportunities for leisure activities. Here you can go fishing, canoeing or pedal boating. The "Reethaus am Meer" with its large "children's play barn" and lots of play equipment offers variety not only for children when the weather is not so good. With a reading room with library, fireplace room, table tennis, handicraft and work rooms, seminar and lecture rooms, there is something for everyone here. In addition to the tourist information office, you will also find the possibility to surf the internet.

Winter vacation

We were already here in the house last year and felt very comfortable. That's why we are here now in winter to enjoy this winter landscape. We can also use the fireplace now, which wasn't possible in summer.
What we like best is that we have come into a completely renovated house. The new floor is super beautiful and the renovation turned out great.
We feel totally comfortable and would love to stay even longer.

Autumn

We were here for a week. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the very nice house manager. This personal greeting already pleased us. We felt comfortable in the house right away. It is super furnished and mega cozy. The amenities leave nothing to be desired. Our dog was also welcome. You can take great walks, and the restaurant right on the beach also appealed to us. We would have liked to stay longer. Clear recommendation.

perfect getaway weekend

We wanted to have a quiet weekend to unwind a bit and chose this vacation house. That was exactly the right decision - very cozy with the fireplace, peaceful, clean, and everything you need was there. The car parked right at the front door. With the dog, we were immediately in a beautiful landscape and just a few minutes on foot to the sea.
We can only recommend this accommodation.

very nice

We felt very comfortable with our dogs.
The location of the house is perfect, we didn't lack anything in the house.
The time was very relaxing, even though the weather was really terrible.
We wouldn't book Ostfriesland again with dogs, there are simply too many restrictions on the beaches. We are used to something different from North Holland.
Without our furry companions, we could imagine another holiday in this nice house again.

Short break - good time

We were here over the Carnival weekend to escape the hustle and bustle.

Very nice holiday bungalow.

Unfortunately, we only had a few days in this cozy holiday home. We and our dog liked it so much that we are planning another visit there. Everything was fine and well organized. Everything we needed was available and much more than we are used to from other accommodations. The beach, which is only a few minutes' walk away, was also open to dogs at this time of year, which our dog loved. Although there is a leash requirement, but for a game with the ball... ;-)
The area here is simply beautiful and we definitely want to go back there.

Summer vacation

We were here in June and we loved it.
The house is well equipped and very well maintained.
The garden is especially beautiful. Our dog could romp around there without being able to get away, as it is completely fenced.

Great family holiday

We were able to spend a wonderful family holiday in the holiday flat of the Schilkowsky family.

The flat was in top condition, just as you would wish. The furnishings were beautiful and stylish. The location was also perfect, you were quickly at the water. The surrounding restaurants and shops were within walking distance.
There are enough games available for bad weather. In the evening you can make yourself comfortable with a glass of wine in front of the fireplace.
All in all, a successful holiday. We felt very comfortable. Thank you very much.

Pure Erholung

We have now been in this house for the 3rd time and as always, it was great. The weather was also nice.
Our dog spent most of the time in the garden. During our stay, there were even new upholstered furniture, which is really cozy. It definitely won't be the last time we spent our vacation here.

Good decision.

After the easing of restrictions and the possibility to travel to the coast, we spontaneously decided on this house. Even though it was last minute, everything worked out excellently. Top vacation rental!!!!!!!

We were very satisfied with the holiday house, the equipment was really great, you don't need to bring anything except holiday mood, ideal also with a dog, our Bulldog was totally thrilled with the small garden that is totally sufficient. You can make wonderful trips from Dornumersiel, highly recommended are Greetsiel and Bensersiel, we even drove to Wilhelmshaven as the distances on the coast are not that far. There is a great dog walking path in Dornumersiel, and there is also a dog beach! Even with beach chairs! I am writing this because some people here don't know what they are writing! I was walking with our dog towards the sea at five in the morning, there was not a street lamp on, that was the quietest moment in my whole life without exaggeration. My partner and I highly recommend the holiday home 100%! A big shoutout to the lady on site! Everything went well, we'll come back! ! ! !

Empfehlenswertes Ferienhaus

We stayed at this vacation home in early September '20.

The contact with the Schilkowsky family went smoothly, and we can only highlight the friendliness of the landlords.
The on-site managers were also extremely nice, and we felt welcome right from the arrival.

The vacation home is lovingly furnished, and we immediately felt at home upon entering. This feeling remained throughout our entire stay. Everything appears very well-maintained and there was nothing to complain about regarding cleanliness.

The garden is a small oasis. Due to the fencing and hedges/plants, one is perfectly protected from view, and this is what we particularly liked.

The beach is within walking distance and the surroundings are truly beautiful. Quiet and idyllic, with plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling. Our dog also felt right at home, which surprised us a lot. Usually, he is restless and nervous in a new environment. This was not the case here.
After staying in a holiday home, we have rarely felt so relaxed and satisfied, and it will certainly not be our last stay at the Schilkowsky family's holiday home.

Nice holiday house that deserves better management.

Unfortunately, no Wi-Fi, but everything else is available. Just some small things were missing, trash bags, toilet paper, dish soap, etc., which made it feel unwelcoming, but these are easy fixes, which hopefully the landlord will take care of, as he was actually very accommodating and attentive, even sending the spa cards by post. Cozy atmosphere. Small garden, but fenced and not visible from the outside. Even the small dog on the beach was not welcome, and dogs always had to be kept on a leash, which is not related to the vacation rental where at least the dog could roam free in the garden. Good fish snack bar within walking distance.

schade, dass Sie sich bei uns nicht willkommen gefühlt haben. Unser Bestreben ist, dass sich jeder Gast wohlfühlt. Umso mehr freut es uns, dass Ihnen unser Haus im Allgemeinen gut gefallen hat. Allerdings verblüfft es, dass Sie fehlendes Wlan monieren, da Ihnen dies bereits vor Ihrer Anreise bekannt war. Im Haus ist üblicherweise eine Erstausstattung an Toilettenpapier etc. vorhanden. Bedenken Sie aber, dass es sich um ein Ferienhaus und nicht um ein Hotel handelt. Dass Sie Anleinpflicht für Hunde bemängeln verwundert, da der Nationalpark Wattenmeer ein Naturreservat ist.

Sehr schöner Kurzurlaub

We had a great time in the holiday home. It is very tastefully and cozily furnished, and there is nothing lacking. There is plenty of entertainment for rainy days (unfortunately, many this summer). We especially liked that bicycles are available for free. We will spend our next stay in East Frisia here again.

We would like to thank you for the wonderful vacation in your holiday home. Even though the weather was typical for the North Sea, your house left nothing to be desired.
The location so close to the dyke, which could be reached on foot in 5 minutes. And the facilities were great. Everything you need for a holiday with a homely atmosphere is available.
The garden is spacious enough and beautifully green. We, as well as our dog, felt very comfortable there. We would love to plan our next vacation in Dornumersiel again in your house.

Perfekt

In May of this year, we, 2 adults, 1 daughter 6 years old, and our dog were guests here. It was a wonderful holiday. The house is simply great and leaves nothing to be desired. The garden is very beautiful and green, and cannot be overlooked. Children and dogs cannot leave it on their own as it is completely fenced in. The beach is just a few minutes away. There is a handcart and sand toys, which our little one loved. All in all, simply perfect.

Very nice summer holiday

We stayed in this house in the summer of 2014. We liked it very much. The house is superbly furnished, very well-maintained, and has everything you need and even more than necessary. The garden is perfect for relaxation. The area is also great even in bad weather. All in all, a successful vacation. Highly recommended.

We had a truly relaxing holiday in your holiday home in June, even though the weather didn't fully cooperate. The house is excellently equipped and very peaceful, just what we needed. The beach is easily accessible after a short walk. There are plenty of shopping options, restaurants, etc. nearby. The only small drawback is that the shopping facilities are a bit further away (about 10 minutes by car). Thank you for the pleasant stay in your beautiful house.
