Luxury Cottage for the Vacation of Your Dreams

We (2 adults + 2 children, 6 and 8 years old) stayed in Haus Ull for a week and were thrilled. The cottage itself lacks nothing. Christoph and Miriam were always approachable and had good tips ready. The surroundings are diverse and beautiful. Unfortunately, we didn't have much luck with the weather, but we have very good memories of the holiday (also thanks to the fireplace).

Practical and cozy log cabin in a great environment

We spent a very beautiful and enjoyable week at Galå Fjällgård. The log cabin was very clean, cozy, equipped with everything necessary, and well thought out in layout. We enjoyed spending the evenings in the grill hut, which is especially cozy even in bad weather.

The nature and surroundings around Galå Fjällgård are simply stunning and literally invite you to hike, mountain bike, and simply enjoy the peace and beauty of nature. The hosts - Miriam and Christoph - are very friendly and helpful. We found Christoph's new book to be great and helpful as we planned and did some hikes and bike tours. One week was unfortunately way too short. That's why we would love to come back! Many thanks to Miriam and Christoph for their hospitality!

Pure nature in the log cabin

We spent a week (end of July) at Gala Fjällgard during our tour of Sweden. Both us and our two children (2/7) really enjoyed it. The surroundings and accommodation were perfect. The information and descriptions on the website matched our experience. We can unreservedly recommend it. Don't forget mosquito protection, it's essential in Sweden.

Holiday in Jämtland

In 2017, it finally worked out again, and we spent a lovely week at Blockhaus Balder. This was our 4th time at Miriam and Christoph's place. It feels like coming home! Balder house is comfortably furnished, the wood stove provided warmth on cool evenings, and we made good use of the barbecue hut! Everything needed for a successful holiday is available here, comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, and much more. We appreciate the peace and the beautiful hiking trails, the untouched nature. And we definitely haven’t been there for the last time, we will come back!

Ruhe und Erholung

Beautiful, top-equipped cottages. I was there once in the depths of winter, where you can enjoy the fireplace and go snowshoeing. Additionally, you experience the "real" winter. The second time I was there in the spring, and spent solitary but pleasant hiking days.

Great facility for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobile tours.

We relax here every winter for one or two weeks, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and reading by the fireplace. The landlords provide great excursion tips and are very helpful.

Great accommodation in forest/mountain landscape

We had now been to Gala Fjällgard for the third time, the second time in winter. We enjoyed it very much again. There are well-equipped and cozy log cabins. For cross-country skiers, there are well-groomed trails. Snowshoeing is possible everywhere, and if you feel like it, you can also go snowmobiling or ice fishing. We always saw northern lights in February. In summer, the hiking trails marked by Christoph, which are more like wilderness paths, invite you to solitary walks. Mushrooms, berries (including cloudberries), can be found almost everywhere. In short, those who enjoy nature and do not mind solitude will feel well here. Additionally, Miriam and Christoph are always ready to help wherever they can.

Franconian quality in Sweden's Outback

We have been able to enjoy a wonderful week in a beautiful log cabin where nothing is missing. Even the 28 km dirt road to the nearest larger town in the direction of Östersund is entertaining, as many reindeer cross your path. If you like hiking and snowshoeing in the Swedish Outback, you are in good hands here. Thanks again to the hosts Myriam and Christoph, who are always there for their guests with advice (hiking tips, etc.) and action (barbecue hut fire, etc.).

Magnificent winter holiday in Sweden.

We spent a beautiful week in Galobodarna. The log cabin is cozy and thanks to the lovely wood stove, it's cuddly warm. It is very well-furnished. A nice kitchen with good equipment and a nice large bathroom. The landlords are very nice and always ready to fulfill all wishes. It was glorious winter weather with blue skies and sunshine, and at night, we were delighted by the Northern Lights. Something for nature lovers seeking peace and quiet.

Relaxing vacation in Sweden's wild forests

Cozy log cabins located on a beautiful farm. If you are looking for peace and relaxation and want to enjoy Sweden's vastness, you are in the right place! If you desire contact and exchange of experiences, you are warmly welcome in the barbecue hut and can exchange ideas with other guests or the Schenk family over a cozy fire. The Schenk family is always helpful and provides good tips and tour suggestions! The cabins have everything you need and even a bit more! We felt comfortable right away, and since we had a slightly cold summer, we were able to use the fireplace quite frequently. We look forward to next time!

Erholung pur

We spent beautiful, quiet, and relaxing days with the Schenks in Sweden. What has been created here is truly impressive! Super-equipped log cabins where guests lack nothing. The owners are helpful day and night for any questions. The cabins offer more comfort than we could have ever imagined, and you can enjoy the stay from beginning to end without interruption. Even for young adults, Gala Fjällgard offers pure adventure and experience. In addition to beautiful hikes and excursions in the area, one can make friends with some reindeer while sunbathing in front of their own cabin. We really enjoyed our vacation at the property and recommend it without any reservations!

Urlaub für Naturliebhaber

Beautiful and cozy log cabin surrounded by jungle-like forests. We immediately felt very comfortable. A cold start to summer with still a lot of snow on the mountains - we looked forward to the fireplace in the evenings, which quickly brought the house back to a cozy temperature. The immediate surroundings offer many cycling and hiking opportunities to the "house mountain," Galberget, to the numerous alpine pastures (with moose sightings on the neighboring pasture), to Börtnan; the Kalfjäll is quickly reached from Glen and Arådalen.

Small paradise in Sweden's forests

At the end of July, we spent two relaxing weeks on the wonderfully located farm. Those who want to vacation in the midst of nature and still not forego the amenities of civilization will find this place ideal. The log cabins are lovingly furnished and equipped with everything you need. We went on many of the hikes recommended by the hosts and were able to enjoy the vastness of the mountains and the rustic forests. We also made friends with the countless reindeer. We can only recommend a holiday at Galå Fjällgård and would love to come back there again, maybe in the winter.

Late summer in the mountains

The log cabins are furnished with a lot of attention to detail, the sled with birch wood is waiting next to the fireplace (included in the price!) and in the adjacent forest there are plenty of blueberries. The hosts also have a booklet with many recommended hikes, for which it is worth staying one or even two weeks in the beautiful nature and exploring the mountain with its magnificent views.

Dabei lassen sich auch immer reichlich Heidelbeeren, aber auch Preiselbeeren und Pilze finden.

shopping facilities: Die nächsten Läden sind zwar recht weit entfernt, aber mit etwas Planung muss hier niemand hungern. Die Gastgeber bieten auch einen Brötchenservice an.

Luxury in the Jämtland region's Oviksfjäll.

Nature lovers can find pure relaxation in the vast forests and mountain areas around the Almhof, which is built in a log cabin style. Here, you can escape from everyday life in the very comfortable and lovingly furnished log cabins at any time of the year. free time activities: Man muss sich schon gerne auf seinen eigenen Füßen durch endlose Weite bewegen wollen - ein Paradies für alle, die mit der richtigen Ausrüstung fast unberührte Natur erleben wollen. Auch Angler und Naturfotografen kommen auf ihre Kosten.

shopping facilities: Gerade mal kurz ein Päckchen Butter und einen Liter Milch kaufen ist nicht so einfach. Eine gute Vorratshaltung ist von Vorteil. Die Gastgeber bieten einen Brötchenservice sowie heimische Produkte an und würden ansonsten auch bei der Beschaffung von Butter und Milch behilflich sein;-)

Everything is just right here. The hosts are super nice and helpful. The log cabin is soooooo cozy and superbly furnished - it simply lacks nothing. The surroundings are beautiful and wild. Definitely ask the hosts for hiking tips and recommendations. And the price is right too!

Relaxing vacation in the midst of the North Swedish taiga forests and mountains.

The landscape appears wild and vast, the approach is long, but suddenly one reaches a small oasis in the midst of the wide forests. The log cabins are equipped with everything one needs, the centerpiece is the fireplace and sauna. The furnishings are modern, cozy, and with a good eye for detail. Emphasis is placed on quality, good, personal service, and cleanliness, both in the cabins and around them. It is impressive to see how much has been built by hand. Feel free to ask for tour tips and anything you want to know about the landscape, the landlords will be happy to provide information.

Vicinity of the holiday home: Die Wälder ringsum erstrecken sich endlos weit. Nicht weit entfernt erhebt sich das Ovikengebirge und man kann leicht oberhalb der Baumgrenze, im schwedischen Fjäll wandern gehen. Richtung Svenstavik und Myrviken gelangt man zum Storsjön, den kleinen Dörfern ringsum und Östersund, wo man sich die schwedische Kultur näher ansehen kann.

free time activities: Wandern, spazieren, im Winter Tourenski und Schneeschuhlaufen. Im Sommer sollte man einen Ausflug um Mitternacht machen und das Land und die Tiere einmal im besonderen Licht der Mitternachtssonne kennenlernen. Im Winter lockt der sternenklare Himmel mit Nordlichtern.

shopping facilities: Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es in Myrviken und Östersund. Alles etwas weiter entfernt, aber der Ausflug lässt sich gut mit der Besichtigung des "Jamtli Museums" oder des Elchparkes verbinden.
