12 km from the beach hustle and bustle: 2 bedrooms / 2 baths in a quiet mountain village
The small historic mountain village of Ligo is about 300 m high and about 12 km from the sea. From the village you have a magnificent view of the sea and the mountains. Our house is located on the side facing the mountains. It is in our house to a "Rustico", so we call here the old farmhouses from partly meter-thick natural stone walls, which is the country-typical style according to part of the contiguous village ensemble. We have renovated the house in 1976 under preservation of the historic style and since then constantly renovated (last 2016 new kitchen and 2017 new bathrooms). We have often rented it as a holiday home, but above all it was used by us for our own family.
With approximately 100 m² of living space, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large living room, fully equipped kitchen and two 55 m² terraces, the house offers plenty of space for 4 people.

A wonderful refuge with a great view.
We were allowed to spend 10 days with friends in Ligo in Casa Sieber. We quickly got used to the drive into the valley and were always happy to come back after the hustle and bustle on the coast. Albenga is also a very beautiful and comparatively quiet old city where you can stroll and eat well. There are also many beautiful paths to explore in the area, partly very steep though. The house is individually and high-quality furnished on historic walls. Besides the great terrace, we particularly liked the kitchen with its thoughtful design and generous equipment. The bathrooms are new and spacious. The instructions from Mr. Sieber were very helpful.

Quiet location
To relax from the stress of everyday life, the place Ligo is just right. However, you need a car to get to the beach or to the shops, about 15 minutes by car.
The holiday home has very comfortable beds and beautiful modern bathrooms. On the terrace you have a very nice view of the mountains. We felt very comfortable. There is a small restaurant in the village which we can recommend

Wir haben tatsächlich die Betten in 2020 und 2021 erneuert, damit unsere Gäste sich wohlfühlen - und wir selber auch!
Was die Lage betrifft: Ich habe ja auch in der Beschreibung zu unserem Haus geschrieben, dass man für den Urlaub dort ein Auto haben sollte... Dafür hat man dann den Vorteil, nach dem Strandtrubel in wenigen Minuten in die absolute Ruhe zurückkehren zu können.
Einkaufen kann man übrigens auch in dem 5 Minuten entfernten Ort Villanova d'Albenga - dafür muss man nicht die 15 Minuten bis nach Albenga fahren.

Great holiday home
A wonderfully equipped holiday home in the Ligurian mountains. The bathrooms are modern, the kitchen is too and very well equipped (the knives are sharp, the pans are not scratched... ;-) Cooking is really fun here, and you can eat on the large terrace with a view of the Ligurian mountains - perfect. You should pack mosquito repellent, though. And if you travel to Liguria in mid-August, you are definitely not alone. The beaches (20 minutes by car, which you definitely need there) and accordingly the parking spaces are full, sometimes you need a little patience, or you choose a paid parking space. And if you don't want to cook in the evening, you definitely have to make a reservation during this time. But Mr Sieber also recommends this in his restaurant recommendations - good tips, by the way. You should definitely try them out. We felt very comfortable in Liguria, we went to Genoa by train (without any problems) and otherwise enjoyed the clean beaches and the service at Bagni Pino. We will definitely be back.

Mountains and sea
Beautiful holiday home in a mountain village not far from the beaches of the Riviera. (approx. 15 min by car)
We felt very comfortable in the house from the beginning
At noon the pulsating life on the beaches and in the evening the secluded quiet life in the small mountain village.
We will probably come back again sometime because we liked it very much.
The handling from the first contact to the handing over of the keys was also 1A.
The recommendations of the landlord regarding restaurants were also very good.
Nevertheless, you have to be aware that a car is urgently needed.
For us, a family with two children aged 11 and 14, it was a great holiday in a great house.

Was Ihren Hinweis mit dem Auto betrifft: Da haben Sie wirklich recht, denn ohne Auto kommt man in Ligo nicht gut klar. Es gibt zwar einen Bus, aber der fährt nur zweimal täglich, und das ist im Urlaub sicher keine Alternative.

Great panorama!
Casa Sieber really has a special charm! Beautiful bedrooms, modern bathrooms and even the cramped kitchen situation was solved in the best possible way. Of course, what we liked best was the magnificent view from the terrace into the dreamlike mountain landscape!
The communication with Mr Sieber was also very pleasant. Besides Laigueglia, we can recommend the wonderful town of Noli. From there you can make a great hike to Varigotti. We can recommend Casa Sieber especially outside the hot summer months, as it gets quite warm on the upper floor.

Danke auch für den Hinweis auf Noli. Da war ich schon viele Jahre nicht mehr, dahin sollten wir mal wieder einen Ausflug machen.
Was die Temperaturen betrifft: Zum Zeitpunkt Ihres Aufenthaltes war es schon ungewöhnlich warm für die Gegend. Und wir haben in der Tat keine Klimaanlage, und die dicken Mauern helfen auch nur im Erdgeschoss gegen die Hitze.

In 1972, at the age of 10, I came to Ligo for the first time with my parents and younger brother. In 1976, they bought my own house in Ligo and renovated it with love and ideas. In all these years the place has become a second home for our family. In the meantime, I have inherited the house from my parents and renovated it again - so that the charm of the "Rustico" has been preserved, and at the same time all the amenities for a relaxing holiday are available.
