The holiday apartment "LODGE 22" is located behind the main house. At the end of the driveway of the house you reach a staircase with four steps, which leads you to the front garden of the summer house. The holiday house was renovated in 2020, new kitchen, new toilet and new shower (90cm x 90cm). The interior:
When you enter this cozy holiday apartment through the front door, you will find a kitchen on the left wall, with a 4-burner gas stove, a refrigerator and freezer, an air fryer, a dishwasher, and a coffee machine. On the right you will find the first bedroom with a box spring double bed and its own washbasin.
Next to the kitchen there is a toilet and a separate shower (90cm x 90cm). The living room offers you a cozy sitting area, as well as a dining area with a table for four people. There is a digital television (55 inches), with which you can receive nearly 10 German channels and many other European channels, and additionally Netflix. Next to the living room is the second bedroom with two box-spring beds and the washing machine. Here, too, there is a separate washbasin.
The house has central heating in all rooms for the colder days in autumn and winter. The holiday home has filtered water, which is good for skin and hair.
Outside:
Through the living room door you enter the sunny, enclosed terrace of 45 m² with a table and lounge furniture. Here there is a grill and here you can enjoy the midday and evening sun. In the front garden you can have breakfast in the morning sun. The whole garden is fenced.
The holiday home comes with three bicycles for adults, one children's bike, and one mountain bike. One of the bicycles has a child bike seat for children aged 2 to 6 years. For an additional charge, you can rent e-bikes directly from the landlord.

Our holiday home "LODGE 22" is located in the seaside resort Noordwijk and near Zandvoort and Katwijk. Noordwijk is located in the heart of the Bollenstreek (region where flower bulbs are grown). In spring you can enjoy the beautiful bulb fields with tulips, daffodils and hyacinths throughout the region. In summer the beach. In autumn the dunes and in winter the cities nearby.

We had booked the vacation home for the end of 2022. Unfortunately, we had to cancel due to health reasons. We had very good communication with the hosts from the beginning.
Our deposit was refunded within half a day.

Dear Pricilla, dear Gero, dear Kees,
I am sadly back home in Cologne already. The others are leaving tomorrow. I have discussed the evaluation with them and am writing it now.
The six of us (3 women, 3 dogs) would like to thank you wholeheartedly for the lovely care. We felt very comfortable. It was due to the beautiful cottage, the loving furnishings, and of course, you. Some of the evaluations, among others, we cannot understand at all. Kees, I have been booking through you for several years and it has always worked out great. I don't need paper, your emails are enough for me. The lodge was definitely clean when I arrived, the beds were made, there were plenty of towels, and everything else you need for the beginning and the kitchen was available. The lack of an oven is easily recognizable from the pictures you provided. However, everyone can use the bread delivery service if they want. Fresh bread rolls are hung on the door every morning. So where is the problem? Each of you is always available to talk to. You have left your mobile numbers for that purpose. I also don't understand the problem there, especially since Pricilla and Gero are often seen on their terrace and react immediately. Gero, thank you for your patience because I couldn't figure out how to use this super modern television, sorry. Oh, I would have liked to know where this cheap hotel is, I don't know any. OK, the coffee machine really didn't work, but I got a private machine from Pricilla right away, thank you my dear. So again, thank you very much for your hospitality and patience. Price-performance ratio is not right here.
It is a cozy little house that is really nicely furnished. However, storage space is lacking. There are no closets. Only very small musty storage cabinets. The coffee machine makes a lot of noise but no coffee. Seems to be very old. There is no oven, only a microwave. You can't bake bread rolls here, etc.
The property is secluded and quiet. It is completely fenced, which is great for dogs and small children. The location is also great, just across the street and you are in the dunes and on the beach.
Another very negative aspect is that you do not directly interact with the owners (they live right in front of the vacation house) but with an intermediary who calls themselves the landlord and maintains email contact and handles the money. When inquiring, they gave us a total price and mentioned a deposit of €200 that must be paid on-site. The landlord arrives, takes the 200€ deposit in cash, and leaves. On the day of departure, he returns and collects again. Despite the website advertising a final cleaning fee of 75€ (which I find extremely rude and inappropriate for 50sqm because we had to clean ourselves upon arrival as everything was very dusty, and the windows were very dirty and smeared!), he collects the final cleaning fee again, plus fees for dogs and tourist tax. Fees and tourist tax are okay. But to charge for the final cleaning again and simply deduct it from the deposit, I find really cheeky. This is simply not made clear in advance. Even if the landlord claims that he listed it in one of the many emails. By the way, there is also no contract. Overall, we paid 627€ for 4 nights for 2 adults, 1 child, and 2 dogs. For this amount, we could have stayed in a hotel in a prime location with half board. Price-performance is unfortunately not right here. :/

Ein kleiner Reaction von Eigentümer. In beide Zimmer sind Schränke und auch am Obergeschoss können Sie Sachen abstellen. Eine Ofen gibt es nicht, aber wenn Sie das gewollt hatte, hatte wir für Ihnen die Brötchen können aufbacken. Wir machen das für unsere Gäste. Unsere Contactdetails are im Lodge 22 Buch oder Sie könnte gleich am Haus gehen.
In die Angebotmail an Ihnen war deutlich geschrieben das die Entreinigung und Hunde separat sind von den Mietertrag. Wenn es nicht sauber ist, könne Sie sich auch an uns gleich richten und wir korrigieren das gleich. Das ist auch für Kaffee Machine. Dieser brauchte nur entluft zu werden.
Wir sind einer der billigsten Unterkünften am Bosweg im Noordwijk und wir wollen gerne die Adresse von den Hotel bekommen welche für diese Preise Halbpension gibt in April. :-)

The way of renting is simply unprofessional. You don't receive a booking confirmation, no rental agreement, simply nothing! I also contacted the website, who got in touch with Mr. I., but he didn't agree to anything! Also, the two reviews (one is still from him) are not good. All in all, all criteria that the website points out (whether trustworthy or not) are not met, unfortunately! I canceled, and there were still 50 € processing fees deducted.

Ein kleine Reaction von Eigentümer. Leider hatte sie gleich ein Review geplatzt und nicht mit uns communiciert. Wir schicken immer eine Angebotsmail, eine Anzahlungsmail und eine Bestätigungsmail, wenn die Anzahlung entfangen ist. Das macht dem Contract. Alle Mietbedingungen sind am ferienhausmiete.de.
Wir haben viele (rückkehrende) Gäste, die allen sehr positive sein, auch über die Service von Kees. Ich habe mich auch geirrt beim Rückzahlung von den Anzahlung. Die Restzahlung ist unterwegs.

Beautiful little holiday home in a picturesque setting.
For the second time in Lodge 22. The renovation is absolutely successful. What would be great is a large mirror for the lady to see herself fully, for example, on the wall next to the dining area. Otherwise, the house is perfect for us and we will come back in 2021.

Since 2003 we live in a nice house with a big garden close to the sea and the dunes. Our two children are now studying in Rotterdam and no longer live at home. Therefore we have decided to rent out our summer house. Because what could be more fun than the pleasure we experience in our house and share the sea with others. In three months the house was renovated and decorated with love and from 15 June 2018 it is officially on rent. Kees Imthorn arranges the entire rental.
