Description

The former Vogtshof of the St. Georgen monastery is the oldest residential building in the Rottweil district of Bühlingen. It was first mentioned in 1380. It is assumed that the Vogtshof, as the most important building in the village, was the first to be rebuilt after the end of the 30 Years' War (1618-1648), in which the whole of Bühlingen burnt down. From 1983-87, the house was lavishly and expertly restored so that it now resembles its original state. All rooms, except the original farmhouse parlour, have underfloor heating. The parlour still has the original floorboards, which is why radiators were installed here. The parlour also has a ground stove, which is fired from the kitchen and spreads a cosy warmth in winter. There is another basic stove in one of the bedrooms in the basement.

Location and surroundings of object

From Bühlingen it is about 5 minutes by car to the medieval town centre of Rottweil. There are also regular city transport buses to the city centre. Both the indoor and outdoor swimming pools of Rottweil can be reached in a 15-minute walk. Not far from the swimming pools there is also a climbing hall and an indoor tennis court.

Very satisfied at the old Vogtshof

The ambiance was initially naturally something to get used to, but by the second day, we found it cozy. The large kitchen, like from old times with modern furnishings, appealed to us. The large round table invited lively communication. In the bedrooms, the mattresses were very important to our older participants. In retrospect, we can give this a very good rating. Since there were no disabled participants, we had no major problems with the stairs and the slightly higher door thresholds. The participants, mostly aged 78-88, all remained uninjured and would come back at any time.

We spent a weekend as an extended family in the Vogtshof. The house is unique, very cozy with the old beams, the furnishings, and the slightly uneven floors (due to the age of the house). We found everything we needed in terms of amenities, felt very comfortable there, and could have stayed a few more days to also use the outdoor area, weather permitting. The house has a pleasant, homely atmosphere. The host is very friendly, provided us with information and excursion options in advance, was very accommodating, and reachable for us if needed. We would be happy to return.

We found everything we needed in terms of amenities and felt very comfortable there; we would have liked to stay a few more days to be able to use the outdoor area, depending on the weather. The house has a pleasant, homey atmosphere. The host is very friendly, provided us with information and excursion options in advance, was very dedicated, and was reachable for us if needed. We would gladly come back.

beautiful old Vogtsbauernhof

For our family of 10, aged between 21 and 59, a stylish farmhouse with crooked beams, ceilings, and corridors - all with charm. 5 separate bedrooms, 2 bathrooms provide enough privacy and no congestion; the tiled stove is great and keeps warm for a long time. The equipment (kitchen) is well-equipped - nothing is missing. 2 refrigerators with freezers, or simply cooling food outside on the balcony, makes it easy as well. The sanitary facilities are uniquely oriented - the fittings are already aged - unfortunately, there is also no direct window to the outside - ventilation has to handle all of this. The dog had short walking opportunities right around the house - 400 meters away, you're in the open fields. Parking is directly in front of the courtyard - shopping options and attractions are in close proximity. Great introduction and interesting tour all the way up to the roof. For us, it was simply wonderful.

Super Familienwochenende

For our 3-generation family, the Vogtshof was great, even more quaint and beautiful in reality than on the internet. The contact with the landlord was also super nice. We can only recommend the Vogtshof.

Let your soul dangle.

We spent a few romantic days together with our dog in the fairytale-like accommodation. The house has a special charm with its corners and edges. The kitchen is very well equipped. The house provides a great starting point for numerous excursion possibilities. We enjoyed it very much and will definitely come back.

A holiday with a guarantee of comfort

We spent a week with the whole extended family (12 adults, several young children, and a dog) there and can wholeheartedly recommend the Vogtshof. The extremely lovingly decorated over 400-year-old building, done with a lot of sensitivity, has an incomparable ambiance, and its cozy atmosphere immediately captivates you. Additionally, high-quality technology has also been provided. The kitchen is equipped with high-quality appliances, and there is plenty of dishes, cutlery, and everything else you need for many people. A high-quality washing machine and dryer are also available, which is greatly appreciated, especially when you have young children. The large garden is surrounded by a fence, a swing and slide invite you to play, and a large grill can cater to many people. Particularly worth mentioning are the warm welcome, the friendly introduction to the house, and the straightforward checkout at the end of the stay.

A cultural monument to experience

We were a group of 8 people with disabilities and mental illnesses. We were very warmly welcomed by the administrator and immediately provided with good tips for activities. The house is perfectly equipped and has a special atmosphere that can transport you to another time. The landlord was always easy to reach and very helpful. For people who appreciate the special, we can highly recommend the house.
