"Toddy" is the name for a kind of cocktail drunk on the beaches of India and America. Sun, sand and sea are reflected in this cocktail and in the holiday home - enjoy the beautiful spacious holiday home Toddy in Glowe on the sunny island of Rü Holiday home with approx. 104 m² of living space is located in the quiet and wind-protected part of Glowe and is only a short distance from the beach and harbour at approx. 700 m distance. Garden chairs, two loungers and a garden barbecue allow you to spend relaxing hours in the holiday home is a non-smoking house and therefore also suitable for allergy sufferers. So that you and your children feel right at home in Glowe, you will find great playgrounds for climbing and romping around in the immediate vicinity of the beach, which is only an 8-minute walk away. Location and surroundings of object
The seaside resort of Glowe is picturesquely situated on the long, fine-sand Baltic Sea beach of Tromper Wiek Bay. The seaside resort is an up-and-coming holiday resort. The beautiful beach promenade with spa square invites you to take a stroll. Glowe's landmark, the "Ostseeperle", built in 1968, is located directly on the promenade. Today, the listed, striking glass building houses a modern restaurant with a lakeside terrace and a magnificent view of the water.
The new marina with restaurant, boat hire, fishing trips and boat excursions to Hiddensee is located at the height of the "Königshörn" cliff. Organised or independent sailing trips in all directions round off the offer. The small cape Königshörn with its lookout tower offers a magnificent panoramic view over the Tromper Wiek to the famous Cape Arkona.
Glowe is an ideal location for bicycle tours. Whether short or long - everyone gets their money's worth here. Short tours lead to Spykerschen See or to the Bodden coast of Glowe, longer tours lead to Cape Arkona or along the Jasmund Bodden to Lietzow. A bicycle rental shop is located directly at the Ostseepark and can be reached on foot from the holiday home in 2 minutes.
Glowe offers ideal conditions for sport fishing. With the right equipment and a bit of experience, you can catch cod or sea trout while sea or surf fishing. Fishing licences are available from the harbour master or at petrol stations.
About 12 km away in the village of Lohme, a beautiful 18-hole golf course with a view of the Baltic Sea has been built at Ranzow Castle, inviting all golfers.
The 10 km long "Schaabe", the largest spit of Rügen, begins at the western edge of Glowe. It connects the Wittow peninsula with Jasmund and separates the large Jasmund Bodden from the sea. The white sandy beach of the Schaabe appears endless and is bordered by dunes and pine forests. It offers great surfing spots and nudist culture in sections.
The 30 sq km Jasmund National Park, located about 12 km from Glowe, is known for its magnificent beech forests and the unmistakable beauty of the world-famous white chalk cliffs. The so-called Wissower Klinken and the Königsstuhl, the landmark of Rügen, are also located here.
