Our holiday home 'De Flierefluiter' is a terraced bungalow. The bungalow is located in Park Duinland in St. Maartenszee and is suitable for 4-5 persons. It is only 900 meters from the North Sea beach and in the garden there is sun all day, but there is always a place in the shade. The Flierefluiter is for us as a family a place where we relax, have time for each other and 'flierefluiten' (Dutch for 'without worries go through life').
The house is comfortably furnished and fully equipped. We've worked with so many natural colors and materials, so that the arrangement of style and color radiates tranquility. The complete glass facade (main part of the house) on the garden side gives a beautiful view of the garden and blurs the border between inside and outside.
Every moment in De Flierefluiter, we enjoy the tranquility and space in and around the house and the natural look of the device. The large garden offers at any time of the day, a place to enjoy the sun. And if it's too cold to sit outside, it's wonderful that inside and outside are connected by the large glass facade. We then enjoy the many birds (titmice, woodpeckers, magpies, sparrows, etc.) and the dune hares that visit our garden looking for a snack. Nature is nearby!

Near 'De Flierefluiter' you will find the beautiful Pettener dunes. The varied vegetation of this beautiful dune landscape offers something special for everyone to discover. Whether you prefer the quiet seclusion of the dunes, or want to take a walk or a bike ride, the North Sea coast offers peace and fun. The beach of St. Maartenszee has two beach pavilions, north and south. On the beach, the children can play and you can enjoy the sun and the sea. Birdwatchers are well taken care of: in the dunes at least 80 species of birds nest in the nature reserve Zwanenwater, including a colony of spoonbills. Unique in this area are the dune lakes. Here you will find the largest dune lake in Europe. In the spring near St. Maartenszee turns into a colorful patchwork of blooming fields of flowers. The nearby Wildrijk nature reserve is littered with purple hyacinths during the same period of the year. The characteristic towns of Alkmaar and Schagen are also in the immediate vicinity. Here you can go shopping or enjoy a drink on a terrace. In short, an environment where everyone can enjoy their proper 'fliere flight' activity.

Beautiful house for a relaxing vacation
This beautiful holiday home is highly recommended without reservation. The amenities are very good, the furnishings modern and tasteful, and the location behind the dune is simply great. We spent a quiet and relaxing week here.

Oasis of well-being
We spent two weeks in the summer holidays in this truly beautiful and lovingly furnished bungalow with 2 adults and one child.
The bungalow is quietly located and really offers a lot of privacy in the bungalow park Duinland.
From our perspective, the garden and the atmosphere are even more beautiful than they appear in the photos. We enjoyed every breakfast on the terrace and every evening we could unwind in the garden. The bungalow is not only beautiful and well-maintained, but also functional and thoughtfully furnished. Nothing is missing in the equipment.
It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the beach. The beach is as lovely as one would expect. The path through the dunes is also very nice, but sometimes too long for our child. Bicycles are recommended.
Conclusion: A place to feel good.

Very nice family holiday
We spent a very nice family holiday in holiday home De Flierefluiter. The accommodation is very well furnished. Many thanks to the owners, the van Tilburg family, for the excellent communication beforehand. We will gladly come again!

Everything is simply perfect here!

Super nice cottage equipped with all comforts.
Very nice cottage to spend your holiday in. Functionally and practically furnished, everything you need is available. Very beautiful with the glass walls, nice kitchen, spacious bathroom. Nicely decorated with funny details, like the key box. Plenty of hooks to hang items on, spacious fridge with freezer, enough cupboard space and, very nice, window screens for the bedroom windows! Moreover, a lot of privacy in the beautiful green garden, comfortable garden furniture and a picnic table to eat outside. We also barbecued twice. In the shed, everything is available for outdoor living. In the evening, we enjoyed the rabbits that visited the garden. Lovely quiet park, less than 7 minutes biking to the beach. Beautiful villages nearby. Recommendation: visit the old town in Alkmaar, boat in Broek op Langedijk, shop in Callantsoog or Schoorl, walk in the nature reserve Zwanenwater or in the forests near Schoorl. Enjoying the sunset at the beach. Or just cycling through all those beautiful villages with bridges and windmills. North Holland, beautiful province! And we couldn't wish for a better start every morning from De Flierefluiter.

We are a family with two daughters. We both have a full job. In addition to teaching, Annelize has a small interior design company. Through the busy weeks in which we see each other as a family sometimes a little, we want to enjoy the weekend of peace, space and time for each other. As a couple we have built, renovated and furnished three houses over the years. In 2013, we were ready for a new challenge. We have been looking for our perfect place for a long time. This was a bungalow in St. Maartenszee, which we called 'De Flierefluiter'. A dark, outdated 70s bungalow, we have transformed in half a year in a bright and comfortable house where we find peace and space as a family in the weekends. We live in the Veluwe in a beautiful forest area. The beach was always a place for us to really relax. The beauty of the environment, the colorful flower meadows in spring and the cozy 'Noordhollandse' villages
