Find peace and quiet, relax and enjoy the beautiful wine region of Carnuntum; that is what you can do here with us, far away from mass tourism. There are many excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity. A special tip, very close by, is the baroque castle Hof.
This was built by Prince Eugene and renovated in recent years.
Also you must have seen the excavations in Carnuntum.
Lake Neusiedl is a "natural" highlight of our region.
It is also possible to visit a windmill. National Park Donauauen, Slovakia and Hungary - all these are only short examples, of a rising region, which is known by its naturalness and friendliness.

BRAUNSBERG Hainburg
The Braunsberg, together with the Thebener Kogel on the opposite side in Slovakia, represents the Hainburg or Hungarian Gate of the Danube River. The valley near Braunsberg is a geological link between the Alps and the Carpathians
A road leads from Hainburg to the summit. The Braunsberg offers an excellent view of the Hundsheimer mountains, the Danube and the city of Bratislava and its surroundings, as well as far into the Marchfeld. On the mountain stands the memorial of the Carpathian Germans in memory of their old homeland in Slovakia

NATIONAL PARK DANUBE FLOODPLAINS
lies between the European capitals of Vienna and Bratislava and preserves the last large floodplain landscape in Central Europe on an area of more than one hectare. The Danube, which still flows freely here, is the lifeline of the national park over a length of approx. 36 km. Its dynamic interplay with level fluctuations of up to 7 metres constantly reshapes the floodplain landscape. In this way, the Danube creates habitats for a variety of animals and plants.
The NEUSIEDLERSEE
(Hungarian: Fertő-tó, fertő literally means "swamp") is, like Lake Balaton, one of the few steppe lakes in Europe and the largest drainless lake in Central Europe. It lies on both Austrian and Hungarian territory. Its much larger Austrian share makes it the largest Austrian lake (the lakes lying entirely on Austrian territory are smaller, and Austria's share of the overall larger Lake Constance is very small)
The lake is characterised by its reed belt, shallow depth and mild but windy climate. Its unique fauna and flora are protected by the establishment of the two national parks, Lake Neusiedl-Seewinkel and Fertő-Hanság, and by its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with the designation Fertő/Neusiedler See Cultural Landscape. The Austrian part of the lake is largely owned by the Esterházy family.
CARNUNTUM Roman Land
In Carnuntum, the Roman era is not a distant past shining through sparse wall remains, but a present that can be experienced with all the senses. In the reconstructed Roman quarter, the thermal baths, which are heated all year round, entice visitors, the amphitheatres and the gladiator school transport visitors into the world of the gladiators, and in the Carnuntinum Museum, timeless treasures bear witness to the culture and joie de vivre of the former inhabitants.

We received a very friendly welcome as soon as we arrived. In the holiday flat we were warmly welcomed with a welcome letter and a bottle of wine. The accommodation is very spacious, the furnishings are very high quality, there is simply nothing missing. The landlords are extremely friendly and helpful, they also help you with planning and excursions. We will gladly spend our next holiday with the Schremser family again
