All this and much more is offered by the "Villa Akazija", a designer holiday home with a pool and all the comforts, in the hills near Buzet, Istria, Croatia.
The holiday home consists of three basic components in the form of old and new buildings. Two typical for Istria, former, farmhouse cottage made of natural stone, were removed and completely rebuilt with contemporary insulation. A state-of-the-art design complex serves as a link and to caress the original ground substance. The result is a successful composition of old and new. Istrian natural stone and wood, in harmonious togetherness with glass and concrete. A daring liaison in the middle of the evergreen hills of Istria. Although a liaison can be seen. The property blends perfectly into the surrounding landscape, conveying an aura of austere modernity, paired with elegance, comfort and glorious Mediterranean lightness.
Indoor
The four bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, are housed in the two side wings. Likewise the modern, well equipped, open kitchen, with pantry, utility room and a guest toilet. In the modern middle section is a more than spacious living and dining area with fireplace, 55 "flatscreen and natural stone floors. Nicely furnished, furnished with pretty accessories, and through and through flooded with light. The large panorama windows literally integrate light and nature directly into the living area.
The entire house is equipped with air conditioning and underfloor heating and can be rented throughout the year.
Outdoor
The outdoor area can also be seen. With its secluded, elevated location on the hillside, the holiday home offers a captivating view of the surrounding hills and a life surrounded by the most peaceful nature. The environment is wonderfully quiet, an oasis for those seeking relaxation of any kind. And yet you can start directly from the house to numerous hiking and biking trails along the many wine and olive oil roads or within a good half to three quarters of an hour the "hot spots" in Visit Istria such as Motovun, Groznjan, Porec, Rovinj, Opatija or one of the numerous beaches on the west and east coast of Istria. For short trips are next to the picturesque old town of Buzet also the "neighboring" village Roc and Hum, the latter also known as the "smallest city in the world", as well as well filled in spring and autumn Gumpen the Mirna-source at Kotli.
