Description
A little tip beforehand!
As there are not so many big houses so close to the beach, please book early! This house is rented out by the week and bookings are always made from Saturday to Saturday.
Feel at home in this typical Swedish summer house, which seems to come from Astrid Lindgren's world and is only 600m from the most beautiful and longest (13km) Swedish sandy beach Mellbystrand.
A whole 170 sqm on 2 floors, large living room with veranda (library) and satellite TV, 3 bedrooms (one with double bed and garden view, one with queen bed and large balcony, one with single bed and small balcony).
Large fully equipped kitchen with stove/oven, sink, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker and the most important kitchen appliances.
Cellar with washing machine, heating elements in living room and bedrooms, fiber connection,toilet, extra large shower (1.40mx 1.140m, which you enter from the living room, the architecture of the 100 year old house unfortunately did not allow the installation of a large bathroom). But the previous guests praised this shower.
Large garden with old trees, lawn for playing and barbecue, garden furniture, hammock, basketball hoop, dartboard.
There is another house on the property (here as "log house with the object number 90833), but this is not disturbing, because the whole property is sqm big. On the contrary: my guests find it pleasant to have "German neighbours" next door :)
This non-smoking house is just as suitable for families with children as for senior citizens.
You bring your bed linen and towels and do a thorough final cleaning yourself.

THE BEACH:
In just a few minutes you can walk to the 13km long sandy beach Mellbystrand. This beach has the so-called "Blue Flag" and the water quality is excellent. It is safe for children as the water is shallow at the edge.
Protective dunes for sunbathing and playing.
THE LOCATION:
The house is quietly situated in the prime location of Mellby beach, only 300m away from restaurants, grocery shop, masseur, hairdresser, beauty salon, tennis court, exercise trails (2,4 or 6km).
One of the most famous cycle paths, Kattegattsleden, passes by in only 200m and is well signposted.
You can hike along the beach or in the forest, or go fishing by the river and prepare the fish right there at the barbecue area.
RECREATIONAL POSSIBILITIES:
Large shopping centre in 3km, doctor's surgery in 7km. Many possibilities for excursions: Go-kart track, steamboat on the river, downhill riding, summer tobogganing, windsurfing, kite surfing, laser factory, fishing, canoeing, adventure swimming pool, moose park, Sweden's largest department stores', ice factory, climbing hall, open-air museum, cinema, theatre, play factory, flying museum, railway museum, bowling, tropikarium, galleon figure museum, tennis museum, art museum and much more.

ACTIVE HOLIDAYS before mid-June and after mid-August:In the low season before mid-June and after mid-August, you can also book a room with delicious international half-board. Or you can book the smaller log cabin next door and prepare your own meals.
Take an intensive language course in Swedish, English, French, Spanish, Italian or German for foreigners with the German certified translator Monika Hornig.
Or book a relaxing holiday with hatha yoga or meditation? Maybe even a yoga teacher training course?
Maybe in combination with an esoteric course (intuition training, the secret, healing, card reading according to Lenormand or a whole life counsellor training).
(In the period between mid-June and mid-August you can do the same programme in Sardinia).
EMIGRATION TO SWEDEN:
You like Sweden so much that you would like to emigrate? Monika Hornig will also take care of your residence permit, dealings with the authorities, finding a place at work/ kindergarten/school.
TUTORING HOLIDAY.
Your children need tutoring in English, Spanish or German for better grades? You are missing a coach to prepare you for the Mittlere Reife, the Abitur or the university exams? Dipl.Übersetzerin Monika Hornig has years of teaching experience and organises a varied social programme in combination with international cuisine. The same tutoring holiday is also possible from mid-June to mid-August in Sardinia

Schöne Strandvilla mit ein paar Einschränkungen
Charmante, alte Strandhausvilla mit drei (für Ferienhausverhältnisse) großen Schlafzimmern. Umfassende Küchenausstattung. Für mich störend das permanente Hintergrundrauschen der etwa 700 m entfernten Autobahn, besonders bei Ostwind und Windstille. Zum Glück ist ja meistens Westwind an der Ostsee. Das zweite Haus auf dem Grundstück war mir zu dicht, es steht kaum 10 Meter entfernt und entsprechend schränkt es die Privatsphäre ein. Hat man das Glück einer weiteren Familie mit kompatiblen Kindern, sieht sie Sache natürlich schon anders aus. Der Fernseher ging nur eingeschränkt (lautes Rauschen) und der DVD Player gar nicht. Die nicht schließende Tür zur Dusche störte auch. Die freundliche Vermieterin zeigte sich jedoch immer bemüht, zu helfen und wird diese Dinge schnell reparieren. Viele Freizeitaktivitäten in der näheren Umgebung.

Wie ich dem Mieter bereits mitteilte, kann die Autobahn an den wenigen Tagen, an denen an dieser Küste Ostwind herrscht, in der Hochsaison im Juli, wenn die Schweden Urlaub haben und noch viele Turisten da sind, etwas zu hören sein. Ich vermiete jahrelang und bekam diese Beschwerde zum ersten Mal.
Die meisten Gäste schätzen die Nähe der Autobahn, weil sie somit schnell in Helsingborg, Malmö oder Göteborg sind.
In meiner Beschreibung steht, dass auf dem 1400qm grossen Grundstück zwei Häuser stehen, was den meisten Mietern aber angenehm ist, da die Kinder zusammen spielen können, man sich über bereits gemachte Ausflüge austauscht oder oder auch mal gemeinsam grillen und sich dabei auf deutsch unterhalten kann:)
Der Fernseher und der DVD gingen bei den Vormietern offenbar kaputt, ohne dass diese mir das mitgeteilt hätten, ich habe aber einen Ersatzfernseher im Haus, sodass dieser ausgetauscht werden kann.
Die Dusche wurde erst neulich eingebaut, ich hatte den Mietern empfohlen, die Türe aufzulassen, damit kein Schimmel entsteht. Dabei ist die Türe etwas aufgequollen, wird aber selbstverständlich behoben.

I myself first came here when I was ten years old. Having seen beaches all over the world, I can say that this one has the "biggest dimensions" because it is never crowded, even in high season The proximity to nature and the many recreational opportunities was one of the reasons why I moved here permanently in 2005 to run my language and yoga school. I love it when the wild rabbits hop through the garden, the squirrels scamper up the trees and the deer and elk like to drop by:)
