In the farm built in 1952, a high-quality holiday apartment was realized in the former spacious attic with a lot of heart and diligence and a lot of own work. The old wood of the original roof construction was planed, treated with food-safe natural oil and thus partially visibly integrated into the apartment. The entire floor is finished with high-quality solid wood planks in local larch, the many wood thus provides an excellent indoor climate.
The attic apartment consists of two double rooms, each with its own bathroom with shower and toilet and balcony. In one of the double rooms there is also a large pull-out sofa on which 2 more people can sleep if necessary. In the other double room there is a decorative wooden crib for the little ones, which can be converted into a comfortable seat by removing a crib wall. In addition, there is an alcove bed for a further sleeping possibility. Each room is also equipped with its own TV and free Wi-Fi is available.
Furthermore, there is a separate, well-equipped kitchen with a large table and a comfortable corner bench
Basically we can offer our guests two options to choose from: With the standard option, you rent the entire holiday apartment with both spacious double rooms, anteroom and the separate kitchen. This is an optimal solution for families with children, where the parents want to enjoy their own bedroom with bath/WC and the children are accommodated right next door in an equivalent room and also with their own bath/WC.
Should the three adjoining beds also be occupied, the apartment in this variant offers space for up to 7 adult persons
In the second variant only one double room with private bathroom is occupied, the second double room remains free and will not be rented to other guests during your stay. So you stay among yourselves and never have to share the apartment or kitchen with other guests. This variant results in a lower rental price and is best suited for all those who only need one bedroom. All other services, such as the anteroom and the separate kitchen are the same as in the standard variant
Including two extra beds in the form of the pull-out sofa, this option also offers space for up to four adults.

Summer vacation in Austria
We had a great family vacation in a very quiet, somewhat elevated, secluded location. We immediately felt very comfortable, as we were warmly welcomed by the Wimmer family and their dog Charly. Everything we needed was available. The apartment is very well equipped and very clean. The only drawback is that the balcony is quite small. Our daughter was even able to ride on the very sweet and calm pony for a small fee. The proximity to Salzburg was wonderful. To explore Salzburg, we recommend the Park & Ride parking lots in front of the city center; you can conveniently take buses directly to the center of Salzburg and save yourself the hassle of searching for parking. The Fuschlsee, highly recommended (bathing area Wesenauer), was reachable in about 30 minutes. We took many excursions and happily returned to our accommodation every day. Thank you again to the Wimmer family!

Simply perfect!
We have been a few days with our 3 children and the choice could not be better. The apartment has everything you need for a pleasant stay. Everything very clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds... the Wimmer family is very nice and the welcome was perfect. We will come back again!

Indescribable tranquility and a fully equipped and clean apartment immediately invite you to feel good.
The hosts are very sweet and make sure you lack nothing. Always friendly and in a good mood.
A vacation in nature and yet only short distances to have a varied time. Salzburg, Berchtesgaden, Mondsee & St. Wolfgang can be easily reached by car or Park & Ride.
A beautiful nature to explore and experience all around. There is something for everyone here and it won't get boring. And after an eventful day, it's time to relax at Wimmerhof. That is vacation.
We had a great time and were 100% satisfied with everything.

Great for families.
We felt very comfortable on the family's farm. The holiday apartment is furnished very comfortably and has a great atmosphere due to the beautiful wooden beams. Perfectly suitable for families with several children due to the number of beds. The apartment is super equipped and you don't need to pack so much (bed linen, towels, kitchen utensils, etc.). A ride on the ponies was also possible for the children. The location is perfect: on one side you have fantastic nature around you and can go hiking or similar. On the other hand, you can be in Salzburg in 15-20 minutes and discover the city. And also nice hosts who respond quickly. It was perfect for us! Gladly again!

Our stay (4 nights) at Wimmerhof was totally relaxing and beautiful. Mrs. Wimmer and the dog warmly welcomed us and explained interesting facts about the accommodation and the surroundings in an uncomplicated way. "Salzburg Festival Destinations"
Very close to Salzburg, wonderfully situated and equipped with a spacious, very beautiful holiday flat, is the Wimmerhof. Three generations of Wimmers live here and look after the guests in the holiday flat in a very friendly way. We were welcomed here very obligingly from the very first moment. The atmosphere there was once described by a former regular guest as "heartfelt" and that is exactly what you can feel today.
All our questions about the surroundings and the past were also answered lively and peppered with anecdotes. We enjoyed it very much.

Not five stars, but six stars!
In January of this year, we spent an unforgettable short break in the holiday apartment at Wimmerhof, which was as wonderful as it was adventurous.
The booking of the accommodation went quickly and smoothly. On site, we were greeted by the deepest Austrian winter and friendly landlords. We felt completely comfortable in the spacious, well-kept, and comfortably furnished attic apartment. The well-thought-out furnishing of the rooms not only met but exceeded our expectations. From the covered balcony, we could enjoy a magical view of the quiet winter landscape at Gaisberg. All of this deserves a five-star rating.
An extra star is due to the helpfulness of our hosts. The Wimmer family not only answered our questions about Salzburg and the surrounding area competently and courteously; they also rescued us from the snowdrifts on our way back from an excursion with the utmost ease. Thank you once again for this effort!
We can recommend the holiday apartment at Wimmerhof in every respect and would choose it again on our next trip to Salzburg.

Idyllic location and top equipment
We stayed in the flat with our children. Great eat-in kitchen, bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Modern , very functional and clean! The landlords are friendly and very unobtrusive. Nice yardhung Nelly is happy to meet new people. When we were there, there were even kittens! From here we started various excursions into the surrounding area. From Salzburg, Bad Ischl (Sisi's summer residence) to Linz, Wolfgangsee with Schafberg and again and again (thanks to the super weather) the Alpenseebad at Mondsee. It was a bit too warm for hiking, but the Gaisberg is easy and quick to climb and offers a great view of Salzburg and daredevil paragliders.

A very well equipped, spacious Fw. The furnishings are very detailed, nothing is missing. Each of the living/bedrooms has its own bathroom. Very suitable if you prefer separate rooms in the evening or if the children want to enjoy their own TV programme. Very nice landlords.

Our beautiful winter vacation

Woken up in the morning by a cock and a cuckoo
The flat is large,clean,modern kitchen,nothing missing.The flat is idyllically situated in pure nature,completely quiet,no traffic.In the morning we were woken up by the crowing of the cock and calling of the cuckoo.The landlords are very nice and sociable,in the house there is an own wine cellar where you can supply yourself with Austrian wines.It was nice days,gladly again.
