Great house in a quiet location

We were fortunate to spend 14 days as guests in this wonderful vacation home. Located just outside a cozy village with shopping options, restaurants, and a highly recommended café, you can enjoy the view of the mountains from the house, savor delicious figs or limes from the garden, or simply relax. A special highlight is the great, clean, large pool for private use. The house itself is well-equipped, including. WLAN and three air-conditioned bedrooms. Everything matched the pictures and the description.
The beaches on the offshore sandbanks, which can be reached by ferry, for example, from Fuseta or Tavira (about 20 minutes by car from the house), are beautiful. Kilometer-long white dunes with a pleasant breeze and azure water. If you walk 10 minutes from the ferry terminal, you practically have the beach all to yourself even in the peak season. The contact with the landlord via email and WhatsApp was quick and friendly.
We enjoyed our time very much and would come back anytime.

Holiday paradise on the East Algarve.

For the second time after 2023, I was able to spend two weeks in the wonderful Quinta in Várzeas near Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo.
In a fully equipped holiday home with three bedrooms (with air conditioning!), two bathrooms, a spacious living area, and a fabulous rooftop terrace, you can enjoy your holiday to the fullest.
The spacious swimming pool with terrace all around offers refreshment even on hot days. Due to its proximity to the sea, there is always a gentle breeze blowing, making the temperatures bearable even on hot days. The region invites you to extensive hikes in almost untouched nature, those who love solitude will get their money's worth here. The excellent Portuguese cuisine invites you to visit restaurants in the immediate vicinity. In Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo, one kilometer away, all shops for daily needs are available. Tavira, a larger town, is a 20-minute drive away. It is very pleasant that the Eastern Algarve is not as touristy as the Western Algarve; one will search in vain for mass tourism here. The very friendly Portuguese population contributes to a completely successful holiday. Overall, Quinta Casa das Várzeas can be recommended without reservation.

Pure relaxation

We spent two wonderful and very relaxing weeks at Casa das Varzeas. The house is well furnished and very clean. The quiet location of the holiday home offers the best conditions for a perfect relaxation and at the same time you are quickly on a discovery tour by car (rental car is essential). The contact with the landlord was completely uncomplicated and very friendly. Thank you very much Mr. Jüttner, also for the many great tips, which were very helpful.

Great location, great pool

In March, we had a lovely holiday at Casa das Varzeas despite the changeable weather. We especially enjoyed the large pool and the great location surrounded by nature. The house is well equipped and provides a good starting point for hikes in the area. We can easily imagine spending our next holiday here as well. The friendly contact with the landlord and the local contact person was pleasant and uncomplicated.

Dreamlike

A holiday home located in a dreamy location if you like it quiet and relaxed. A car is necessary, many things can be reached quickly.
We especially enjoyed taking the water taxi to the various beaches (sand islands) to spend a day at the sea.
The pool is a great way to cool off on hot days. Mr. Bonau was always there when we needed him.

Dream vacation in paradise

I had the opportunity to spend three unforgettable weeks together with my dog Cleopatra in the beautiful Quinta in Varzeas on the east coast of the Algarve. We were able to relax and let our souls unwind in a fully equipped holiday home with a large swimming pool. From the large rooftop terrace, you have a fantastic view of the nearby mountains, which inspired us to go on long hikes. The small terrace is covered, so you can also stay there during the hotter parts of the day. Three air-conditioned bedrooms, a large living room, and a well-equipped kitchen leave nothing to be desired inside the house. The location on a large property with lemon and fig trees in an absolutely peaceful environment makes the stay perfect. Since the sea is close enough, there is usually a gentle breeze, so we could also enjoy the hot summer in Portugal. The small shops in the village with their always friendly owners and the many restaurants in the vicinity and further afield make the stay a culinary experience as well. Since we were there by car, we explored the Algarve from the southwestern tip of Europe to the Spanish border in the east. Overall, it was a dream - we will definitely be back.

Super relaxing holiday

Hello Mr Jüttner, a little late we would like to thank you again! We had a super relaxing and quiet holiday in great surroundings! The garden was great and also that we were allowed to harvest lemons + figs! The pool gave us the necessary cooling when we came back from our tours during the unexpected heat wave at the beginning of June. The quiet location of the house in the hills was really great. We found everything we needed in the house. On the veranda we could watch the geckos in the evening with a cool drink, which gave us a lot of pleasure. The air-conditioning in the bedrooms was worth its weight in gold, especially in the second week, so we could sleep wonderfully! With the rental car, which was indispensable given the location, we were still able to explore the towns in the vicinity. We had deliberately chosen country roads without motorways, so that we could enjoy the landscape during the drives. Tavira, Vila Real at the mouth of the border river, Faro, Ferrugado at the rocky Algarve, Alcoutim at the border river to Spain, the great beach in Monte Gordo, to name just a few, were easy and quick to reach and we all really liked them. In addition, we always ate delicious meals on the way or supplied ourselves in the well-equipped kitchen with regional products we had brought with us from markets or the supermarket. We can only recommend the house for relaxing and setting off on tours to towns or beautiful landscapes!!!! We were a little disappointed by the shops in Santa Catarina. But 1x adjusted to it, we brought everything from the road, which is absolutely no problem. Walks in the surrounding area were also entertaining with the cork oaks and various fruit fields all around. The brochures, guidebooks + the lovely compilation of your tips were very helpful! We can only recommend Casa das Varzeas! 1000 thanks! :-)

Perfect Algarve Vacation

The location of the house is a good starting point to reach the beaches of the Algarve in a short driving time. The on-site support was excellent. And the very friendly correspondence with Mr. Jüttner was very pleasing to us. The equipment of the holiday home leaves nothing to be desired. You can also enjoy days at the pool in the house and have the feeling of being alone in the world. Being able to experience the evening atmosphere on the rooftop terrace, with the unobstructed view of the orange and olive groves, will be unforgettable for us. Thank you very much to the Jüttner family and Mr. Bonau.

Ein absoluter Traum

We stayed in the house for 3 weeks and we love it. It is located in a totally quiet area, so you can completely unwind. The pool is huge and perfect for cooling off. Although the climate in the area is generally very pleasant - August 28-32 degrees.

The house is huge and equipped with everything you need. From the roof terrace, you have a great view of the slopes with olive and carob trees all around.

In the nearby village S. Catarina offers fresh bread, baguettes, and especially delicious local pastries daily - incredibly good. You can also buy small items there. For larger shopping, it's better to drive 8 km further to Sao Bras. There is the nearest larger supermarket and also a nice little town. Or even better, go to Olhao for the daily open-air market. There you can find high-quality fruits, vegetables, fish, seafood, and meat at really fair prices. All products from the area.

In the nearby area, there are some partly quaint restaurants with authentic Portuguese home cooking. And also incredibly cheap.

Beaches can be reached in about 20 minutes by car. Recommended: Fuseta with the ferry to the next island. Praia do Barril - from the parking lot either on foot or with the little train to the lagoon beach. Or to Praia Manta Rota directly to the beach, so away from the lagoons. Everything is beautiful. One should also explore the surroundings by car. Best divided over several days. We drove from Alcoutim via Salir to Alte and from Praia de Tomates to Praia Verde. Everything was very beautiful everywhere. The host Mr. Jüttner always gave us good advice and helpful tips in advance. The "key deliverer" Mr. Bonau was also very relaxed and friendly. We already miss the house, the people, the sea... simply everything immensely now. The whole vacation was a dream. We will come back - promise.

I don't know where to start! Maybe with the conclusion... All in all, SUPER GREAT!!

The house is very quiet in the mountains of the Algarve. Perfect to escape the hectic daily routine. We could relax very well, whether by the pool, in the house, on the terrace, or the rooftop terrace. However, a rental car is definitely necessary. We mostly drove to Altura towards Spain to go to the beach, as there was a very long sandy beach and our children had many play options. It wasn't too crowded either. But taking a ferry to Ilha de Farol is also a must.
The communication with the landlord, Mr. Jüttner, was absolutely friendly. We were greeted on-site by Mr. Bonau, who was also very friendly and helpful!
It was a wonderful vacation in a great house. I am glad that we have already booked for 2019.
