Description

The "Bahnkolk 1" holiday flat is a very well-equipped, ground-level holiday flat in Norddeich on the North Sea. It is located in a detached house at Molenstraße 43, which houses a total of two holiday flats of different sizes. Due to its location almost at the end of the cul-de-sac, there is no through traffic. A footpath leads in front of the house along the lake and through fields towards the north. The flat has its own entrance and a covered terrace with garden furniture, which may only be used by the holiday guests of this flat.
Parking spaces are available in front of the house for the holiday guests. The house has internet access via wifi. It is about a 1 km walk to the beach or the harbour.
The individual rooms can be darkened by shutters.
The flat has 3 rooms, a large bathroom incl. corner bath (with whirlpool function) shower, toilet, sink, etc.. The central hub of the flat is the living and dining room with open kitchen. As a retreat, the flat has two separate bedrooms, one of which has a bunk bed.
A special feature of this flat is that there are two soundproof doors in the middle of the house, through which both flats can be connected. This makes it possible for two families with friends or grandparents with children and grandchildren to spend their holidays together and still have their own place of retreat in their own flat.

Location and surroundings of object

Norddeich on the North Sea belongs to Norden, one of the oldest towns in East Frisia with about 25,000 inhabitants. In Norddeich you will find a very beautiful stretch of sandy beach, which is very popular with holidaymakers, especially in the summer months. Ferries leave from Norddeich for Norderney and Juist. Very beautiful cycle paths lead along the dyke, tea houses invite you to take a break and relax.
The "Bahnkolk" holiday flat is located at Molenstraße 43 in Norddeich, directly on the "Bahnkolk" lake. The beach and harbour area can be reached on foot in about 1 km.

The town of Norden charges a visitor's tax for holiday guests over the age of 16, which our house manager must accept on site when issuing the visitor's cards, further info on the visitor's tax can be found here:

If desired, bed linen and/or towels can be rented from the house management. The rental fee is 12 euros per person (bed linen and towels together). The final cleaning fee is increased by 10 euros per dog brought along.

Norden is one of the oldest towns in East Frisia and has about 25,000 inhabitants. This makes it the fourth largest city in East Frisia, which has the advantage that you can get everything for your daily needs there. In addition to the very nice shops in the pedestrian zone, there are several shopping centres, a library, cinema, etc. Norden is the most north-westerly town on the German mainland. The region around Norden is mainly characterised by agriculture and tourism. The town has a good 27 kilometres of dyke line. The market square with Ludgeri Church, the pedestrian zone with many small shops and the tea museum are worth seeing
Norddeich belongs to Norden and is known for its seal breeding station, its open-air swimming pool and the 'Ocean Wave' adventure pool with its 105-metre-long large slide. For children there is an adventure playground, the fairytale ship and a children's playhouse. You will find the Haus des Gastes directly on the beach. Norden-Norddeich is a state-recognised North Sea spa with. Ferry connections to Norderney and Juist. If you don't feel like taking a ferry, you can also fly to the islands by plane or simply book a sightseeing flight along the coast. The corresponding airfield is in Norddeich.
In addition to the green, sandy and dog beaches, Norddeich also has a surf school where beginners and advanced surfers can learn to surf and kite surf
Guided mudflat walks are offered all the time in season for the whole family.
The area is beautiful for extended cycling tours. In addition, the paddle and pedal stations in Leybuchtsiel, Norden and Hage offer you the opportunity to switch between canoe and bicycle from station to station.
Also worthwhile are excursions to Lütetsburg Castle Park, the historic market square in Norden, the dyke mill, the Frisa Mill with its shell and snail museum and the Westgater Mill with daily grinding demonstrations and baking in the historic oven.
Relaxing is the trip with the museum railway through the wide marshland landscape from Norden to Dornum.

With dog

We have been there 3 times, it was nice as always... we just missed the TV in the bedroom, which was still there when we first came. In the neighboring house where my daughter was, there was a TV in every bedroom and in the living room, which is not a big deal, but I personally need that to unwind.

A rainy summer vacation

Hello,
we can highly recommend the Bahnkolk 1 apartment. The handover of the apartment went really well and completely relaxed. Thank you so much for allowing us to move into the apartment so early.
The apartment is spacious and has everything you need for a vacation. The kitchen is well equipped, so you can also prepare a meal in the apartment. The garden area is protected from prying eyes and it's nice to sit under the sun/rain protection.
We really liked the location of the apartment, it is very quiet at Bahnkolk. You can quickly reach the town and the harbor, but also take a walk in nature.

A small note, the sofa could be replaced. But that's just nitpicking.

We will definitely come back.

From the beginning (booking) to the departure, we experienced exemplary service. The reception by Mr. Pilger (house manager) was very friendly and informative. The house left nothing to be desired for us. The house is located on a quiet residential street surrounded by small houses. We felt comfortable and will come back.

Very well-equipped apartment for a small family.

The apartment is located superbly in Norddeich in a cul-de-sac with very little car traffic. In front of the house, there is a footpath through fields heading north - a great opportunity to take a walk with your dog. The amenities are upscale, everything needed for a multi-day vacation is available on-site. A supermarket is within walking distance. The apartment has 2 separate bedrooms, both with external shutters. The larger bedroom has a double bed, and a large closet is also located here. And there is even enough space here to set up a children's travel cot. The second bedroom is very small, where a bunk bed was installed (presumably for space reasons). It is worth mentioning the very spacious bathroom for holiday apartments: it includes a toilet, a large sink, a separate shower, and a corner bathtub. The last room is a large open space with a kitchen, dining table, and a sofa set. Everything is high quality and very suitable for a small family. We felt very comfortable here and will definitely stay there again.
