The archaeological excavation sites Arauzona are located on Mount Mrdakovica, revealing and deciphering former settlements. Vodice is also an ideal starting point for trips to the surrounding area. Nature lovers swarm to the Kornati and Krka National Parks. Those who want to see more cultural highlights and experience Mediterranean life visit Split with Diocletian's Palace, Zadar with its impressive fortifications, Sibenik with the Cathedral of St. James or Dubrovnik with the breathtaking medieval old town ensemble. In Zadar, there is the Sea Organ (Morske orgulje). This is an architectural object and an experimental musical instrument whose tones are generated by the wave movement of the sea under large stone slabs. Definitely worth a trip! All these cities have not without reason received their entries in the UNESCO World Heritage. Somewhat lesser-known but no less beautiful are Primosten with its romantic old town or Biograd with the magnificent Vransko Lake Nature Park. The islands of Zlarin and Prvic, which can be reached by various ferry connections, are always worth a trip. With a bit of luck, you can watch dolphins during the crossing.
