Our stay in the Helena apartments was absolutely magical! The view from the balcony was breathtaking, especially during sunrise. Just a few steps from Luke Beach made our mornings magical. The apartment itself was cozy and well-equipped, making it a perfect base for our explorations around Murter. The nearby restaurants, especially Mate, offered delicious meals. Highly recommended!

The Tureta fortress is one of the most impressive hotspots. It is located in the south of the island of Kornat and is one of the best-preserved fortifications of Byzantine Emperor Justinian. Tureta is the only fortress on the Adriatic in Croatia from the 6th century that has not been demolished over time. Nearby are also the remains of the Church of St. Mary. Not far from Murter, you can also find the remains of the ancient city of Colentum. It probably had its heyday during the famous Emperor Nero's time. Most of the ruins are now underwater, below the Gradine mountain, in the north of Hramina Bay. The village of Tisno is also worth a day trip - on the east coast of the island of Murter. The village is connected to the neighboring mainland (the Tisno peninsula). The parish church from 1548, which has been renovated several times over the years, is particularly impressive. Other smaller churches also give Tisno a unique charm. On the northeast coast of Murter is the port village of Jezera, known for its excellent gastronomy, marina, and nautical base.
