Beautiful house, furnished with much love

We love Sweden and have been hiking there a few times as backpackers. Now it was to be our first time in Sweden in a holiday home. Of course, we wanted nothing less than a perfect little Swedish house - and we got it
The house is situated between birch trees, cherry trees, meadows, fields and forests with only one other house in sight. The road to get there is a gravel road. You can walk to a swimming spot, but for shopping you need a car. There is a lot to see in the area (Västervik, Vimmerby, Näs, great lakes and swimming spots, junk shops...) and at the house you can play nicely in the garden (not completely fenced, only towards the path, otherwise rather scenic property boundary), relax, make campfires, barbecue.
The kitchen is open to the living area, the bathroom is in an annexe and as good as new, but not tiled but lined with some kind of PVC. There is a dining area at the actual entrance. The stairs up can be closed off by a door at the bottom, which was handy for us during the day (we had 2 toddlers with us). Upstairs, however, there is no protection at the stairs. There is a passage room with a bed and small sleeping alcove and small desk. There is also a bedroom upstairs. So the house has two bedrooms, one of which is a passage room, and is open plan downstairs.
There is a small terrace and many other nice places to sit outside.
Booking was easy and friendly, contact in general. If you have questions on site, the neighbour will help, but it was not necessary for us. In the end you have to clean everything yourself. You should not have a problem with ants, because they find ways in and we had many flies but no mosquitoes (but it was also a hot summer). I give 5 stars for service because it is as described, it is a self-catering house.

The quiet location in the middle of nature. We saw deer, rabbits, foxes, and even moose right next to the house. / Good place for excursions nearby, such as Västervik, Söderköping, Gamleby, Vimmerby. / Even though the house is a bit older, the furnishings were in good condition and typically Swedish. Recommendations: Götakanal in Söderköping, the place Gamleby, Astrid Lindgren World in Vimmerby, the city of Västervik, and a boat trip through the archipelago to the island of Hasselö.
