If you want to unwind, love peace and nature, the Chalet im Rosengarten is the right place for you
The holiday home is idyllically situated in a beautiful garden and is lovingly furnished and decorated in a high-quality cosy country house ambience. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired - all eventualities had really been thought of and there were also sufficient consumables - we had taken so much for free
Our hostess took a lot of time to show us around on the day we arrived. We were welcomed with champagne and allowed to pick tomatoes in the garden. During our stay we could contact Mrs Linker at any time if necessary, but we were never harassed with attention, but left in peace in our self-chosen seclusion.
You are allowed to use the garden and the sauna, for bad weather there are, apart from the relevant electronic devices, also various games and an amazingly wide selection of books available ... when I saw Caesar's "Gaul", I remembered everything I still wanted to read.
A small note: the Wi-Fi occasionally went down (twice for a few hours in 10 days) - since this can always happen, we don't give it a minus point, especially since Mrs Linker immediately did everything possible to fix it. If you are on holiday without having to work on the side, you should hardly notice it.
The surrounding area is mountainous and wooded, with numerous well-signposted hiking trails and information boards on the history, culture and geology of the country, inviting you to explore. Nearby, to the west, lies the city of Kassel; to the east, towards the valley of the Werra, we find health resorts (salt) with corresponding gastronomy and rows of shops. In between, the beautiful mountain and valley landscapes with their charming half-timbered villages.
And, dear city dwellers: at night there is silence and you can see stars ;-)
