13 Holiday apartments & homes for a holiday with pool in Poppi

We stayed in the flat for 2 weeks in July August and really enjoyed it. The flat is idyllically located away from all the hustle and bustle in the green above Poppi. The flat has everything you need as a holidaymaker. The two landlords are great, friendly, reserved people. We were constantly supplied with home-grown, fresh vegetables and herbs. The pool often provided the necessary cooling. We felt very comfortable there. Many thanks again to both of you. We will be happy to come back.

We stayed in Casa Fantone in September as a couple with our dog and were very enthusiastic:
- the old farmhouse in authentic condition, everything very well built, very clean
- the property with the pool a dream, the wonderful distant view
- the spacious, lonely surroundings
- Gianfranco: a perfect host and quite untypical landlord (no deposit, payment before departure), who provided us with great tomatoes and vegetables. Wg. Corona no breakfast with him, but he brought us fantastic bruschette and cooking.
- excellent restaurants in the area (Blue Bar + Tavernetta in Bibbiena, The Home Pizzeria in San Piero)
- no smell of smoke in the house (we were worried about this at first, as it is not a non-smoking house)

What you should know: Tuscany is not hilly in this area, but rather mountainous. The house is at an altitude of 600m, nearby it goes up to 1450m. It is about 10 km to the shops, it is impossible to go for a meal or to a pub on foot. The car is always needed. But you have a total idyll without any hustle and bustle. The best thing to do is to search for Casa Fantone in Google Maps, you can see it very well there. And Arezzo is worth a visit.

Exceptional hospitality, Gianfranco took great care of everything, whether it was an extra cleaning of the pool or vegetables from the house's own organic garden
The house was very clean, there are insect screens on all the windows, everything you need, from a cake mixer to a grill to a pizza oven, everything is there.
We were sceptical that there was no air-conditioning, but you really don't need it as there is always a wind blowing through the thick walls of the house due to the location.
A sensational view from the pool ... breathtakingly beautiful.
Also the ice cream in Poppi ... Parad Ice ... the best ever.
Thank you for the delicious bruscetta breakfast, rarely eaten something so tasty.
