With 7 people, including 2x 18, 1x 12, 13, 16, we had enough space for all 'personalities'. Nothing was missing and the hosts are warm and always available (at least via chat) for answers. The journey is quite adventurous in the last 5 minutes... because you still don't know how it continues up the mountain... but once you arrive at your destination, the 'Kanisfluh' and the view into the valley offer a wonderful view. The property's own goats and chickens complete the picture. The river in the valley gushes pleasantly quietly and the moderate traffic on the main road is not disturbing. We had a little bad luck with the weather... but even a thunderstorm in the mountains is more impressive than in the city.
At the latest in the nearby Bezau, you will find two discounters, a bakery, a butcher, and a pizza service. However, we had to go to Sonthofen for a laundromat (no washing machine on site). In Mellau itself, a SPAR invites you for the first shopping.
In general, it can be said that for excursions to certain places, you are usually on the road for 30-40 minutes or even an hour to the Allgäu. But you can also climb the Kanisfluh opposite wonderfully at sunrise, and the view from above (2044 m) is hugely impressive.
