Unfortunately, we were too late this year!!

We have already been to Mr. Krüger twice, unfortunately too late this year, everything is fully booked. I do need to comment on the review from April 2024; it is quite severe. Yes, the garden is pure nature. But everything else is fine; I didn't see any grease dripping from the exhaust hood, and the couch doesn't smell. It is a house in pure nature, and moisture is common. If I am that picky, then I shouldn't choose such a house. We definitely felt comfortable and will certainly return there.

Paradise for dogs!

We were able to enjoy this beautiful holiday domicile with our two Aussies for 12 days. The holiday home is very spacious and nothing was missing. But we particularly liked the location. The huge garden was a paradise for our two Aussies and the forest is only a stone's throw away. Hiking trails lead past the house and you can go for walks for hours. We will definitely come back and can absolutely recommend this holiday home.

Perfect house for nature lovers and dog owners

Perfect for nature lovers and dog owners, huge fenced garden, Mr Krüger has two dogs himself and knows what the fur noses love. The house is located at the end of a path without through traffic in the forest, absolutely quiet, it is spacious and functionally furnished, everything is functional. Parking space in front of the house on the property. Countless hiking trails which are very well signposted are in the immediate vicinity. Nearby Bad Bergzabern offers several large food markets and plenty of gastronomy. The owner is helpful and friendly. We returned home at the beginning of May 23 after a 14-day holiday and have already booked 14 days at Bethof again for 2024.

Dreamlike beautiful

We felt very comfortable with our dog and grandma. The house has everything you need. The location offers absolute relaxation and the garden is a dream for people and dogs. The cosy furnishings and the great view ensure relaxation. This accommodation is ideal for hiking enthusiasts, with countless hiking trails directly from the house or in the immediate vicinity.

Ideal for dog owners

Today is our last day and we liked it very much. Despite the abnormal heat, the house is wonderfully cool and the view from the balcony is priceless. It's so quiet, every now and then you can hear a cow mooing, and at night there's a beautiful starry sky
Our two dogs love the garden. Walking paths go right past the house. You feel like you're on your own, even though the campsite with the Nature Friends House is right next door. But you don't hear any people or cars.
The house is equipped with everything you need. The mattresses in the upstairs bedroom are good. There is also Wi-Fi
All the sights are within easy reach
Mr Krüger, the landlord, is really nice and friendly and can always be reached if there is anything.
It might be informative to know that we had a visit from a marten, which vesped some cables in the engine compartment of our car. Therefore, it would be worth considering a marten deterrent for the car
Overall, we were very satisfied and can recommend the house, the landlord and the area.

House in a beautiful location

This house has a fantastic location, in the morning you are woken up by a variety of birdsong, but that is all the noise, otherwise there is heavenly peace. You can go for wonderful walks directly from the house or drive into the surrounding area. For holidaymakers with a dog, it's great to be in the forest right from the house. The house has everything you need, good bedrooms, spacious bathroom, fully equipped kitchen. Also, who needs it
good wifi and...a very nice landlord we will definitely come back.

Ideal starting point for hikes

If you need peace and quiet, this is the place for you! The flat has everything you need. However, we only had breakfast here. Otherwise we went to the numerous hikers' hostels or restaurants. You could eat well and cheaply everywhere.
The large garden is ideal for children and dogs. In summer, when the weather is good, it is certainly a dream.
The landlord was always on hand and very friendly if you had a problem
In the surrounding area you can make many beautiful walks for every fitness level.

We would have liked to go to the Bethof restaurant more often, but they didn't take care of the opening hours, so we were often faced with closed doors
We will certainly come back again. We had a great rest.

If you are looking for a beautiful place for a short or longer break, whether you want to go hiking or just want to withdraw a bit from everyday life, you are in good hands here.
The house has an excellent secluded location - I have already been there twice in winter 2021/2022, wonderfully quiet, cozy, even in the darker season, the upper balcony with its view of the huge garden and the adjacent forest invites you to linger - here you can let your soul dangle wonderfully.
The uncomplicated booking, even for only 2 nights, and the equally uncomplicated and very friendly landlord, who is also quickly on hand in case of emergencies, make you want to visit this cozy house again and again.
The furniture of the house is a bit outdated in places, but nothing is missing and it doesn't feel as sterile or uninhabited as some other vacation homes.
I will definitely come back many times with pleasure.

Felt very well

The house and property offer everything you need as a vacationer with children and dogs: a large garden for playing and romping around! It is quiet and secluded, so the noise of children and barking dogs does not immediately disturb. Nevertheless, you can walk to the restaurant and playground of the adjacent campsite. The surrounding forest invites you to take a relaxing stroll. The landlord is very nice and takes care of his guests. The house is clean and well-maintained. There was nothing missing in the equipment, especially in the kitchen. We will gladly come back.

Perfect holiday

With two children of primary school age and our little dog, we spent our summer holiday here. Unfortunately, the two weeks passed far too quickly. The house is well equipped with everything you need. The children and of course the dog loved the large garden, we enjoyed the quiet location. You have the feeling of being in the middle of the forest, yet you are very close to civilisation. You don't hear anything from the nearby campsite. The house now has Wi-Fi and a smart TV. The landlord is always available, very helpful and on hand in 10 minutes if needed. The most beautiful hikes can be started directly from the front door, e.g. to the bathing lake, to Berwartstein Castle or to Lindelbrunn Ruin. By car, you can also explore the surrounding area, which has a lot to offer for every age group. We had two great weeks, during which we never got bored despite the mixed weather. This was our second holiday there - we can only recommend the house and have already booked our next stay.

Great house with a large woodland property

Highly recommended for dog owners. We absolutely enjoyed our short weekend getaway here. 2 adults with two boys (16 years) + Fuxi (male, 15 kg). Great hiking and swimming opportunities in the area. Wi-Fi is now available in the house. The landlord H. Krüger is passionate about what he does.

Erholung Pur

A beautiful house, everything you need is there. We stayed there for a week with two greyhounds and didn't get bored on any day. After so much action, we were always happy to come back to the quiet house in the evening. The most beautiful hikes can be started right from the front door. We will definitely come back. Overall, all I can say is thumbs up, this also applies, of course, to the landlord.

Quiet location, exciting surroundings

A beautiful house, everything you need is there. Nice landlord who is constantly working to transform the house and garden into a gem. We were there for a week with two primary school children and didn't get bored despite sustained rainy weather. Castles, swimming pools, playgrounds, adventure parks, an indoor playground, the wildlife park in Silz, climbing forest, treetop walk, barefoot path, and much more can be found in the area and are easily accessible by car. After so much action, we always enjoyed coming back to the quiet house in the evenings. The most beautiful hikes can be started right from the front door. We will definitely come back, next time for a longer stay and with our dog who will surely enjoy the huge garden.

Tolle Woche

We were in this accommodation for the first time. It is pure relaxation. Very quiet, you don't necessarily need a car. The garden is unbeatable for the dog. The equipment is more than sufficient. We would love to come back. Maybe there will be WLAN next time, at least Telekom is working on it. Very nice and friendly landlord.

Schön und entspannend

We were with the Rommee club and 2 dogs in this beautifully located house, we had everything we needed and, as always, played cards extensively. When hungry, we ate well and inexpensively at the nearby Naturfreundehaus. The landlord was very nice, and we will definitely come back again, and next time, besides playing cards, we will also explore the beautiful area!

Relaxation in the forest

A large, well-equipped, and peaceful holiday accommodation. Centrally and diversely located between vineyards, castles, mountains with impressive rocks, forest, and just around the corner from France. Nice landlord who has renovated and modernized many things in the aging inventory. A dream of the forest view from the bedroom window when falling asleep and waking up.

Relaxation PURE!

It was a beautiful week that we were able to spend here. Hiking right from the front door and the car can stay parked. Great fenced huge property, which our Doberman loved (everywhere smelled so good and there was always something moving). Pure peace and relaxation, especially since there is no internet reception - a true blessing.
Mr. Krüger is a very nice and accommodating landlord, and we will definitely come back. Thank you for the wonderful time.

It was beautiful!!!

We can definitely recommend it. Our journey was very long. Mr. Krüger received us very kindly. He handed over the holiday home to us, explaining everything in detail. Great, such a welcome! Thank you, Mr. Krüger. As for the accommodation itself, there is not much to say. Everything was very well-maintained, even though some things are visually showing signs of age. The house is in the middle of the forest. Very, very quiet. The only thing that bothered us a bit was that due to the fact that the house is located in the woods, there was high humidity on site. Towels dried really badly after showering, even our clothes were damp. The house is just in the woods, so that's how it is. Unfortunately, there is no WiFi, but that's something the Telekom has to handle. The Telekom D1 network definitely doesn't work, had only x (no reception). If you want to take a vacation away from the internet, this is the perfect place. Great landlord, great house for truly affordable money! We definitely recommend.

The house is very quietly located, ideal also for a holiday with a dog. The garden is very large and sunny, and can be reached via a staircase to the lower floor (where the bathroom is also located). The nearby Nature Friends House and the campsite are out of earshot. The equipment of the house is somewhat outdated, but the owner is constantly improving it. There are plenty of beautiful hiking trails (also suitable for beginners) there. Usually, you only meet very few people, as they are very well distributed. In about 10 minutes you are already in the middle of the deep forest on foot, really great and very relaxing. Currently, there is no network reception in the region (Telekom), which necessarily leads to additional relaxation. However, this is expected to change soon.

Had super great weekends

We have now been to this holiday home with our dog for the 2nd time and can only highly recommend it. The house, the garden (which is almost like a walking area) and the location are a dream for nature lovers. You hear nothing but nature and can simply relax. Hikes are possible directly from the house and a nature lover's house with delicious food is just around the corner. The house is also perfectly equipped for self-catering. We have nothing to complain about and will definitely come back. We were warmly welcomed by the landlord and everything was shown to us perfectly. Price-performance ratio and handling of guests are top! We are already looking forward to the next stay.

We were here for the first time with our two dogs, we didn't miss anything in the house. The tranquillity of the large garden leading to the forest was just great, our dogs felt very comfortable. House with a special flair

We spent a lovely sisters' weekend here. I visited my sister here and was immediately impressed by the atmosphere of the house. Russian furnishings, I felt like I was in the 70s. The garden is gigantic, huge and pure nature. The house has everything you need, from Jerry Cotton novels to kitchen roll. On the balcony you can enjoy the great Palatinate forest air until late at night. The friendly, charismatic landlord does everything to make the tenant feel at home. Thank you very much Mr Krüger. Recreation in nature

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful holiday home for the first time with our dog and we liked it very much. The house has everything you need. The garden is huge, surrounded by forest and you can sit outside until late at night and enjoy the peace and nature. There are many beautiful hiking possibilities, sandstone rocks, castles and nice little villages that want to be explored. The Naturfreundehaus Bethof is nearby, the cuisine there is really recommendable.
My sister Edith K. visited us at the weekend and I fully agree with her assessment.
Mr Krüger is a very nice and helpful landlord who still has many plans for the house and property.

Pure relaxation

This is exactly what we needed. Absolute peace and quiet in the one week of holiday, so that we thought we had been there for a while. In the morning, the deer greeted us in the garden and we could enjoy the sun on the deckchairs.

beautiful and quiet deep in the Palatinate Forest

we had a very nice stay in this very quiet house in the middle of the forest on a great property. A huge garden and a beautiful view of the forest. We have rarely woken up so quiet and relaxed in the morning in a holiday home. You can start hiking and exploring the Palatinate Forest right from the front door.

The landlord is super friendly, uncomplicated, flexible and extremely helpful. We would recommend this apartment without reservation.

Highly recommended landlord. The house is quite well-equipped, nothing is missing. The location is perfect if you want peace and quiet. The internet is only sufficient for making phone calls, due to the location in the middle of the forest. At least with D2... All in all, completely adequate, especially for this price. We (4 friends, 4 dogs) stayed at the holiday house for 2 nights. The house was fine, had everything we needed. Good mattresses on the beds. Great view of the green surroundings and absolute peace and quiet. Beautiful grounds for the dogs to run around freely or play with them. The food at the Naturfreundehaus Bethof was great. Nice landlord, poor mobile phone reception, no fly screens on the windows, very remote location in the woods, far from the main road, very quiet, on-site dining recommended. A log cabin on the property is rented out year-round. Not recommended without a car. High tick density. Guest toilet was broken upon arrival. WC/bathroom and one bedroom in the basement accessible via a steep staircase. Natural garden. Car parking on a slope.
