Family holiday

We, a family with two adults and two children, stayed at Haus Eiderente for the third time in October

A holiday idyll in the Wadden Sea

Wunderbare Woche

Wonderful holiday home where nothing is missing. From the cozy sofa to the sauna, we could relax really well in the evenings. The beds are excellent (NO BACK PROBLEMS). The house was furnished with great care, and you can tell that the owner uses it occasionally. Very well-maintained property to, for example, play soccer with the kids.
A small restaurant is located 150 meters from the house. Behind it, there's a dune, playground, and the sea. We were able to admire several fantastic sunsets there. It's about a 15-minute drive to the best beaches in Büsum or St. Peter Ording. Whether for two couples with or without children, there is sufficient space available. We will definitely come back.

A place to feel comfortable right behind the dyke

The feeling of being welcome in the holiday home of the Müller family begins, so to speak, during the booking process and continues until after using the property. One notices that the Müllers not only rent out their Eiderente but also use it intensively themselves, and that they care about making the tenants feel as comfortable in it as they do themselves. The sense of well-being continues outside through the large wind-protected terrace and the well-kept lawn area. The location of the house on the edge of the holiday home settlement means that the character of the settlement recedes into the background and the way to the dike and the bathing area is particularly short. Our family of grandparents, parents, and grandchildren really enjoyed their stay at the Eiderente and it could have lasted longer than just one week.

Here, the holiday begins even before you arrive!!!

This is the second time we have been guests in the Eiderente house and the care and the house more than live up to the word "guest". As with our previous stay, we found the accommodation to be TOP clean and very lovingly prepared. This also included the welcome wine, during the enjoyment of which we planned the time ahead with the abundant information material available. However, apart from all kinds of "adventures", it is also very relaxing to stay in and around the house. The terrace invites you to relax and we enjoyed very much the wonderful walks behind the dyke, which is located directly at the house, along the green beach to relax. And if, despite everything, something should go wrong, just contact the landlord and landlady, they always know what to do and how to help. In this sense, we would like to thank you again for the good time we had in the "Eiderente" in May 2022.

Immer noch Top-Adresse

We visited Haus Eiderente for the second time now after our North Sea vacation in May 2019. To avoid repetition, I refer to the previous, still valid review and only address changes. Due to construction measures (raising the terrace railing with glass elements), the outdoor area has been significantly improved. The additional wind protection effectively blocks the often stormy westerly wind at the North Sea. Within the house, the living room has undergone particular changes: new flooring, new upholstered furniture, new flat-screen TV (wall-mounted). The elevated standard of furniture is thus maintained. I would also rate the external appearance of the property as well-maintained (building repainted, lawn mowed, hedges trimmed). The entire holiday home settlement is, with a few exceptions, in good condition. Only a few houses show signs of not being renovated since completion. The house "Eiderente" is especially quiet due to its location on the outer ring of the settlement. The good connection to excursion destinations throughout Schleswig-Holstein led us this time to the following places: Island Sylt (easily accessible from Heide train station by train with the Schleswig-Holstein-Ticket), Dagebüll (ferry port for the islands Föhr and Amrum), Schlüttsiel (ferry port for the Halligen) with the adjacent Hauke-Haien-Koog (bird sanctuary), Brunsbüttel (entrance to the Kiel Canal – observation of large ships), Rendsburg (ride on the transporter bridge and visit to the ship greeting station, where details about the passing ships on the Kiel Canal are provided). Once again, praise for the flexibility of the landlord, who granted us a free rescheduling of the appointment. -> always Haus Eiderente!!!

This year we decided not to spend Christmas at home. Once again, we chose the familiar house Eiderente in Wesselburenerkoog. Vacation with family

Super nice house with everything you need. Plenty of space inside and outside the house. The house is located in a quiet residential area with a view of the dyke. Within a few minutes by car to the next town. There is a large supermarket where you can get everything as a self-caterer. In the house itself, there are already many things that you don't need in large quantities (salt, pepper, spices in general, vinegar, oil, etc.). The house itself is totally clean and well-maintained. The sauna and whirlpool are perfect for spending time even in bad weather (the pool was also popular with the children). There are plenty of excursion options. By car, you can quickly reach St. Peter Ording or Büsum and have many opportunities for things to do. The contact with the landlords worked very well before and after arrival and was absolutely pleasant. We (2 adults and 3 children) would love to come back sometime.

We felt very comfortable in the house. As soon as we entered, the cleanliness stood out. On closer inspection, this did not change. A guest gift was on the table. So the vacation could begin. On vacation with children and grandchildren

We have now been at the house for the 3rd time and it always changes a bit, of course, in a positive way.
This time it was the new sofa set. It has been well received as very comfortable by everyone.
The youngest grandchild (1 ½ years old) really liked being able to go straight to the terrace after waking up.
The house has everything you need.
The older grandchild (4 ¾ years old) tried out the first walks alone. From the yellow house to the dyke, where Grandpa was already sitting on the bench, able to see him.
Flying kites on the dyke, or having a mud fight in the mudflats is also very easy to realize. - There are showers at the water -
Not to forget the endless possibilities with the bike. The paths are right at the doorstep.
At the moment, rapid tests are required every three days.
At the Eidersperrwerk, this is not a problem. Book online, drive there by car, and drive through the test center by car. No crowds, all very relaxed.

The grandchildren in the house enjoyed the nightly baths with the whirlpool very much.

One should not forget the sauna. Sauna was very pleasant and is otherwise not possible anymore (if you don't have one at home).

It was a very relaxing holiday for all 4 adults and 2 children.

Best relaxation between Büsum and Husum directly by the sea.

The holiday home is located in a small quiet holiday home settlement directly behind the dike between Büsum and Husum, just before the Eider Barrage. It is only a few minutes' walk to the green beach, where we have enjoyed many hours of absolute peace. During high tide, you can swim in the North Sea from the designated bathing area and sunbathe on the meadows. The house has two bedrooms with double beds and one room with bunk beds. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for cooking. The living area is very cozy with a comfortable seating area, fireplace, whirlpool, sauna leaving nothing to be desired. Television, WiFi, etc. provide all comforts. We felt comfortable from the beginning. The landlord provided comprehensive information about the holiday region and the house during the preparation. The house itself is super clean and well maintained, so that you feel like you’re on vacation from the first moment. We can highly recommend the house and have booked it again for 2022.

Relaxed family vacation

This holiday home is very suitable for vacations with children and grandchildren (family with 2 small children and grandparents).
The terrace and lawn are large enough for playing with the children (grandchildren).
The mudflats are right behind the dike and invite you to mudflat hikes, or the children can play in the mud and swim in the warmed-up mudflat water at high tide.
You can enjoy the sunrise protected in the conservatory, or on the bench in front of it with a coffee.
There are 2 parking spaces in front of the house. Bicycles could be stored covered at the back of the house. Going to the sauna in the evening is also recommended. Büsum and St. Peter Ording are not far away and can be reached by bike along the dike.

A beautiful, bright house, just 5 minutes behind the dyke and only a few minutes from the Eidersperrwerk. Top equipped, we didn't miss anything! The week was pure relaxation for the two of us, which we would love to repeat. Whether it's a bike tour to Büsum, a beach day in Sankt Peter Ording, or a pleasant afternoon coffee nearby, there are many options. Just like the beautiful quiet evening walk on the dyke with a stunning sunset. Nice neighbors have further enhanced the pleasant experience. Holiday in the House Eiderente in May 2019

Despite its young age, the house is constantly maintained at the current upscale standard through ongoing construction and renovation measures. The equipment and features described by the landlord are not embellished but fully accurate. Unlike the usual practice, one is not left alone after booking but is looked after by the landlord via email or, if desired, by phone. In these contacts, you will learn about the house (how to operate the wood stove, electric heating, sauna, whirlpool) as well as get suggestions for outings and tips for restaurant visits. Another significant advantage is the landlord's flexibility in arranging check-in and check-out times. Both the day of the week and the arrival time on the check-in day can be individually arranged. Not only the rental property itself, but also the location of the house is highly recommendable. On the one hand, the quiet edge location on the outer ring of the holiday home settlement, and on the other hand, the good connection to excursion destinations throughout Schleswig-Holstein. In our vacation, we saw a lot, especially worth mentioning: Visit to the Westerhever Sand lighthouse - only with a guided tour after prior registration; Ship-greeting facility at the North Sea-Baltic Canal in Rendsburg; Viking settlement Haithabu in Schleswig; Naval memorial in Laboe with an observation tower and walkable submarine; Nolde House and Garden in Seebüll.
In our next vacation in Schleswig-Holstein, if possible again at the Eiderente house, we want to explore the various islands.

Another time...

...we spent our holiday at Haus Eiderente. It was nice to know what to expect and where to come. The holiday settlement is simply beautiful, quiet and perfectly situated for a North Sea stay. The house, with its 3 bedrooms is ideal for us with 2 children. The bathroom with sauna and whirlpool can really cheer you up on rainy days.
What is also worth mentioning is that our 4 bikes that we brought with us can be easily stored behind the house so that they are not standing around openly in the driveway.
And the special thing about the house is that you still get personal and very friendly contact with the landlord. And although it is more than 900 km away from us, it will hopefully not be the last time that we spent our holiday in Haus Eiderente.

Dream vacation in the oasis of well-being - great domicile!

Idyllically located in a nice holiday home settlement, the tastefully furnished house immediately captivated us with its charming and calming spell. Living life in the fast lane on a daily basis, this one-week vacation in the record-setting summer of 2018 was a dream vacation for us! Strolls along the dike and beach, excursions to the surrounding area, and restaurant visits - the landlord even provided great tips for many things... With our own ideas and the additional tips, we experienced a superb week of intense relaxation. The great facilities have contributed to a truly quality time - Three cozy bedrooms, a small but super-equipped kitchen, and a spacious living-dining area with a comfortable couch and also a cozy seating group made our stay relaxing. The beautiful bathroom with a whirlpool, shower, and even a sauna is a real oasis! Washer and dryer are also available. Fine extra: there is a separate toilet - as helpful (with two daughters) as it is rare in such houses.

The very friendly contact with the landlord is personal, detailed, and perfectly tailored, including tips, recommendations, and a nice brochure. The house also offers a beautiful terrace, Wi-Fi, and a winter garden in front of the actual entrance - so even in rainy weather and not just during the summer of the century, a relaxed entry and a bit of extra space for shoes, drinks, and more. Unfortunately, it's a good 700 km to get there - but we'll be back! Just fantastic - thank you!!

Dream vacation!

The house is in a wonderful location, not far from the embankment. A beautiful terrace where you can enjoy breakfast outside in the morning. Holiday home with a "feeling at home"

The holiday home Eiderente was the most beautiful and homely accommodation we have ever had. Everything fits here. Cozy living room with a fireplace stove that we didn't need thanks to the great weather, a large dining table where everyone can find a place, beautiful modern kitchen with good equipment and enough matching dishes. Nothing is thrown together here as is often the case in vacation rentals. The bathroom leaves nothing to be desired, though we did not use the wellness oasis because the weather was too good for that. The bedrooms are also cozy and nicely furnished, with atmospheric pictures from the surroundings. The quiet location of the holiday home directly on the dike was very relaxing, and we did many mudflat walks and admired the sunset almost every evening. The natural beach with playground invites you to swim, if there is water. :-) We went by bike directly from the house on well-developed bike paths, sometimes against the wind, to Büsum or Sankt Peter Ording.
The support from the Müller family before the trip and the many tips for the area and excursions were very helpful.
We felt at home immediately and will definitely come back.

From the first contact with the Müller family until after the vacation, we felt well taken care of. We received many helpful pre-trip information. The cost breakdown was transparent, and the billing for electricity was carried out quickly. The quaint cottage lacks nothing. Everything is in good condition. I would recommend the house and the small settlement to anyone looking for a peaceful holiday. A car is necessary as the nearest supermarket in Wesselburen is about 7 km away.

Perfect for grandparents, parents, and grandchildren.

We were looking for a house with three bedrooms. This house is perfect, no bunk beds. In one bedroom, you can place a baby travel cot in the middle.

My children and the two grandchildren were excited about the house. They enjoyed the meadow and terrace at the house.

We also found the two parking spaces at the house very convenient.

The conservatory in the house faces east. You can enjoy the first coffee there perfectly during sunrise. Later, you can sit in front of the house in the sun with a coffee.
I found this house layout perfect and could not find it in other houses there.
Bicycles can be stored behind the house, under the covered area, in the sheds.
We also used the sauna and the whirlpool and found it very pleasant. Not to forget the washing machine and the dryer, which are in frequent use with small children. Everything is available in the kitchen, and the small dishwasher was very helpful. In the conservatory, there is a cool storage room where vegetables and other supplies could be stored. We can recommend the house and will definitely use this opportunity again to spend a holiday there as grandparents with children and grandchildren.

Liking more and more with each passing time.

It was once again very relaxing at your house, and we enjoy vacationing there more and more each time. Even with our wheelchair-bound child, we can easily get into the house with the ramps over the step; inside, everything is level. Nothing is missing. We were surprised by the beautiful laminate floor. The wine as a welcome gift delighted us and tasted as good as always; the children were very happy about their gummy bears. The contact and support with the Müller family is excellent - we feel very well taken care of. The settlement with the security deposit always works great. We will gladly come back!
