The house has nothing to do with the snow-white, post-modern mainstream houses, which can be seen on high-class catalogues. The villa is a synthesis of Ibizan shoebox houses and bauhaus. Its warm terracotta tone blends soothingly with the blue of the sky and the green of the pines. It is a villa for individualists who want to live all by themselves on holiday and do not want to succumb to the regime of a trendy and short-lived flavour of life. This villa is discreet, humane and refrains from forcing a sense of time upon you. It casually gives precedence to the guests. The house is like a stage on which nature and the residents play the main role.
Interior:
Only refined materials were used, which always become more beautiful with age. Like natural stone, concrete, teak wood and leather. The design is clear and without excessive decoration. There is a discreet elegance and natural ease with full comfort.
Lighting:
The idea is that you do not need to see the light source, but only the space that is being lit. According to lighting designer the most beautiful light emerges when it falls through thin rice paper and immerses the room in a warm, bright light without any glare.
Bedrooms:
The best thing is the association with nature, from every room you can step outside through a large glass door in to the open area. The wide double beds are made of teak, along with the teak wood shelves and desks they spread their characteristic scent. Since each room has its own, exclusive bathroom, one is in the privacy of his own realm at any time.
Bathrooms:
Deliberately kept minimalist and functional, only natural materials such as matte sandstone, limestone and glass were used. The design is simple and functional, designer fixtures from Fantini, bath tub from Philip Starck, pure design from Duravit.
Kitchens:
In the ultra-modern, open kitchen the chef can look outside across the sea, while he prepares his Mediterranean dishes on the large gas hob. The spacious countertops are designed by the concrete designer Max Kant and we have found that guests tend to be attracted by this place and like to cook while engaging in a conversation with a glass of wine.
Pool:
With a length of 12 metres, it offers not only space for bathing, but also for real swimming.

Surrounding:
From the terrace you can view the bay 'Es Xarcu', a popular anchorage for the celebrities of our planet. The bay has retained its original charm, meanwhile the discreetly extended fisherman's huts became one of the private top restaurants on the island (website link) Tina Onassis lives a few metres away, film stars and celebrities from the music scene put their bare feet in the sand fully incognito at sunset while enjoying the excellent fish 'Al Horno'.
The bay 'Cala Jondal' nearby is famous, because of the 'Blue Marlin', which became world famous as the hotspot of Hollywood celebrities and all those who feel they belong. There, you can participate in nightlife, which begins in the afternoon, to see and to be seen is the motto here. At the other end of the bay, there are also restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy this beautiful place in a quiescent manner. A small sandy beach is also very safe for children to swim.
Very close by is the bay 'Es Torrent', you will be there in 2 minutes. There is an excellent restaurant with first class service (website link). Many yacht owners moor in the bay to dine there during the day or evening. On the beach there is a personal atmosphere, with IBAN you can get a massage done and also buy jewellery and summer dresses. Snorkelers can swim to the offshore rocks and dive there. Let's see if you can discover the entrance to the underwater cave. If you jump into the crystal clear sea off the cliff, you have several options there. If you're lucky, you'll also find a Rolex or currency notes on the seabed.
Ibiza Town is 15 minutes' drive away and you can visit the charming old town, shop, dine, and meet people there. All the famous nightclubs such as Pacha, Amnesia, Privilege, Space, Eden, Es Paradis, DC10, or smaller clubs like KM5 are within a quarter of an hour by taxi.
Sport:
For climbers, the free-climbing area with a view of the island 'Es Vedra' can be reached in 10 minutes, an amazing climbing area directly above the sea.
The rider can take riding lessons around the corner on horseback or take an evening ride through the pine forests.
For mountain bikers there are marked trails that begin right in front of the door step.
For bottle divers I recommend the bay 'Cala Vadella' in which you can also do night diving and play with the curious seahorses and octopuses. Or visit the numerous lobsters in a depth of 40 m.
Morning and evening hours are ideal for joggers, starting directly on the property.
Those who love to walk can start right from the property; there are many attractive trails through shady pine forests to secluded bays.

As the villa is located off the beaten track, enjoy peace and nature, but a rental car is essential, unless you always call a taxi, which is no problem.
The coast Porroig is located in the south of Ibiza, between the beaches Es Torrent, Es Xarcu and Cala Jondal. You can have a view up to Formentera across the sea. Easily accessible from the airport by car in 15 minutes. To the Ibiza town it takes 20 minutes, and 10 minutes to San Jose. The nearest beach is 3 minutes by car.

I had bought this property in a pine forest in 1992, during the following 20 years I built the villa with my own hands in my free time. Over the years, the place became more and more familiar to me, and I managed to integrate the house perfectly into nature. I looked for the light and the sun, regarding proportions and discovered where I like to look on. So everything is harmonious and you feel immediately relaxed and arrived.
