Then you have come to the right place.

Whether you need a place for holidays (alone, as a couple or in a family), want to spend a business or study stay here, are looking for accommodation because of an upcoming visit, a family celebration taking place nearby or for a similar reason, you will feel comfortable in the cosy atmosphere of our house and in the surrounding picturesque landscape.

Location and surroundings of object

The holiday home is in a quiet and idyllic location with beautiful views, right next to the forest.

The district of Marburg-Wehrshausen is 3.5 km from the centre of Marburg (6 minutes by car.). There is a bus connection to the city. The bus stop is about 250 m away. The bus to Marburg's old town (and back) runs every hour until after midnight
Savings taxis can also be booked at a reasonable price.

Footpaths lead to Marburg via the directly adjacent forest and also along the road.

Numerous hiking trails can be easily reached directly from the house via forest and field (e.g. the long-distance hiking trail Lahnwanderweg, the Lahn-Dill-Bergland-Pfad, the Elisabethfpfad, the Jakobsweg and various "local" circular hiking trails). A popular climbing forest and good country inns are within "walking distance".

The landlords will be happy to give you tips and advice for possible activities. Written information material is available in large numbers.

A lot of wood in the beams, panelling and floors spreads cosiness and comfort.

The country house adjoining the landlords' house (built approx. 1840) was completely renovated and refurnished in summer/autumn 2016. It has approx. 120 sqm of living space, its own entrance to the house and its own access to the street, as well as a (partially covered) terrace with a seating area and stone and wooden bench with a view of the garden.
The living space extends over two floors and a gallery above the upper floor.

On the lower floor: Entrance hallway; living/study room with couch, seating, CD player,internet radio, desk, standing desk and wall unit; bedroom with box spring double bed (180 X 200 cm), large wardrobe and recliner with side table and floor lamp; large bathroom with toilet, washbasin with drawers, hairdryer, mirrored cabinet, shelf and combined bathtub/shower area with glass wall; small utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, hoover, iron and ironing board, smaterial.

Upstairs: small hallway; large room with dining area to the front and kitchen to the rear. Dining area: dining table with a total of 6 available chairs and a wicker armchair, display cabinet, sideboard and hanging board, internet radio. The fitted kitchen is equipped with fridge (with freezer compartment), cooking and baking oven, exhaust bonnet, coffee pad machine, additional filter coffee machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, egg boiler, blender, sink and dishwasher. Cookware, crockery and kitchen utensils are plentiful, including tea, coffee and espresso makers. (An "initial supply" of coffee, tea and mineral water is provided before guests arrive)
Adjacent to the dining area is a small living/bedroom with double bed (1.50 x 2.00 metres), side table and bookshelf. Accessible from there as well as from the hallway is a small bathroom with toilet, washstand (with drawers), hairdryer, combined bath/shower corner with glass wall.

From the hallway, a staircase leads to the gallery, from which the view of the dining area and kitchen is unobstructed. On the (open) gallery there is a TV corner with smart TV (cable connection and internet access) as well as Amazon Prime Videos via Amazon Firestick and DVD player, a seating area, a single bed 90 x 200 cm and additionally a stool that can be converted into a lounger (as an "extra bed" for a 6th person possible in exceptional cases) as well as a desk with armchair.
The sleeping accommodation/s on the gallery is/are particularly suitable for children and young people. (They are not in an enclosed sleeping room)

Given the relatively steep stairs, the house is not suitable for people with walking difficulties.

The steep stairs, the railing on the gallery and the numerous sockets do not have special safety measures for small children. Therefore, the house is only suitable for children from the age of 4.

Free internet via W-LAN in the entire house.

The house is suitable for holiday stays as well as for longer-term stays (e.g. for business stays or for guest lecturers etc.)

Free parking is available directly opposite on the street.

In tranquillity lies strength

This beautiful holiday flat lacks nothing.
We arrived and were greeted personally by Mr Jeide on the street (and he also helped us when we got stuck in the car park with the rear tyre).
There was a very good introduction to the holiday home including tips for the surroundings.
It is absolutely quiet here. Just the right thing to relax and come down.
We heartily recommend the flat.

Very lovingly and perfectly furnished gem in a great location !

We felt at home from the first moment in this holiday home, which was furnished with great attention to detail and perfection.
Mr Jeide gave us a very warm welcome and introduced us to the house, Marburg and the surrounding area
I was able to pack away the French press I had brought with me straight away, because a coffee station with a wide variety of coffee machines makes the heart of every coffee drinker beat faster :).
Forgot your magnifying mirror and hot water bottle? ... no problem... is of course available!!!
We also particularly liked the fact that the two bedrooms have their own bathroom!
Marburg is very easy to reach on foot, by bus or car and the forest on the doorstep invites you to go on long walks.
By the way, for pilgrims there is the Marien-Kirche with a stamp just around the corner - so don't forget your passport :)!
The Jeide family was always available to answer our questions and give us tips.
We would have loved to stay longer and are looking forward to next time!

Modern half-timbered house

We spent interesting days here - despite not always good weather. Although the house is in a district of Marburg, the bus stop is just around the corner and the centre can be reached quickly. There are also nice excursion destinations by car. In addition, you can spend a lot of time in the house. TV, DVD's, games, books, everything is available. We felt very comfortable.

Also suitable for business trips

The house is ideal for business stays due to its complete and comfortable equipment, as already described several times by guests, as I could see during my own stay. I would also like to emphasize the good and fast Internet/WLAN (250 Mbit/sec.) which is important for my professional purposes.

Arrive and feel comfortable

Very nice landlords, even during the first telephone contact.
The apartment is lovingly and comfortably furnished, very clean, very quiet and yet so close to Marburg.
Many nice details and comfortable amenities to feel completely comfortable. Nothing was missing!
Thank you also for the mineral water, coffee and sweets, that was a very nice gesture!

Top clean; Pure relaxation!

What was mentioned positively in other reviews about the amenities of the holiday home and the friendliness and service of the landlords, we can fully confirm. We add that the landlords do everything to provide guests with as much security as possible in Corona times. Disinfectants are provided to guests in the entrance area and in the bathrooms for unlimited use. The cleaning logs of the landlords show that a thorough cleaning and disinfection is carried out before each change of guests. This knowledge relaxes and promotes the effect of relaxation.

perfect all round!

I can only agree with the excellent reviews of the other guests here! From the friendly email contact to the flexibility regarding check-in and check-out times, to the equipment and the ambiance of the house, everything was perfect! Everything you could wish for is available to keep yourself entertained even in bad weather: magazines, books, DVDs, etc. To get to Marburg, you can either use the bus or take a nice walk there; the location is beautifully quiet. Absolutely recommendable and gladly anytime again!

Great holiday home to feel good

In the holiday home lovingly furnished over 3 floors, we immediately felt at home. Nothing was missing, down to different coffee preparations including coffee and pads. There is even a utility room with washing machine, etc. TV with Amazon Prime. The friendly landlords had already prepared a high chair and an extra play mat for our little daughter. Also suitable for vacation with young children, the stairs are not a problem as doors block access to them.
Very nice landlords!
Quiet location, right by the forest and just 10 minutes to Marburg.
Great value for the price!

Well-being on three floors!

Everything was just right: the high-quality equipment from kitchen appliances to household items to towels. The existing supplies went beyond basic necessities as well. The vacation home, honestly one of the most beautiful houses we have ever booked, offered luxurious space for the two of us - it would have been generous for four as well. Ten minutes by car to the city, ten seconds to nature (if it hadn't been raining cats and dogs on our day, but we just made use of the house and recharged). A bus apparently runs every half hour. We would have liked to stay longer, will definitely come back someday and recommend this holiday home wholeheartedly to all who love it idyllic and stylish (and can and want to climb somewhat narrower stairs).

Simply top!

3 nights and the corresponding days were pure indulgence in the exceptionally beautiful and well-equipped holiday home. The nice landlords have really thought of everything guests could wish for. The location is quiet, right by the forest. You can start directly on extensive walks or hikes without having to pass through the (quite attractive) village of Wehrshausen. The city center/old town of Marburg can be easily reached by the hourly city bus. If you like running, you can easily cover the approximately 3.5 km on foot as well. The landlords living right next door are extremely helpful and are happy to provide tips on excursions, shopping, and dining options. Highest recommendation possible!

Extraordinary

This exceptional holiday house on three levels has impressed me greatly. The Jeide family has furnished everything very tastefully and practically. Every detail was perfectly organized - I lacked nothing and could enjoy wonderful, quiet, and relaxing days here. If you don't feel like cooking, the lovely restaurant 'zur Damm-mühle' is just a stone's throw away. And Marburg with its glorious upper town and castle with a park, its romantic cafes, or the Spiegelslust Tower is always worth a visit.

We were here during Advent and found a discreet and atmospheric Christmas decoration both inside and outside. As the weather did not always encourage trips and sightseeing, we appreciated the numerous games, books, movies, and series available via Amazon Fire Stick with Amazon Prime. Thanks to the fully equipped kitchen, we could easily cater for ourselves in the house and did not have to rely on dining out, although restaurants were easily accessible. We felt really comfortable and at home and would love to revisit this destination again.

I spent a wonderful extended weekend in a holiday home with 2 former college friends (meeting after 10 years). We were welcomed very warmly. As a greeting, there were sweets, coffee, espresso, tea, and mineral water ready. The fully equipped kitchen gave us the opportunity to "cook for each other" and exchange our experiences. In between, each person could withdraw and rest on their "own" bed (2 bedrooms and a single bed on the gallery available). We also found the two bathrooms with tubs and showers to be great. The nice hosts gave us valuable tips for excursions to the very worth-seeing old town of Marburg by bus and on foot. The time at our disposal was far too short to enjoy the diverse amenities of the holiday home, such as literature, games, music, and television (even with media libraries and Amazon Prime series and movies). Without any reservations, we can wholeheartedly recommend the holiday home and the hosts!

Highest recommendation!

Already in the run-up to our visit (5 nights with 4 people), when answering our enquiry and enquiring about our wishes regarding bed layout etc., we had a very good experience with the hosts. This continued with the personal welcome with detailed introduction to the house and its equipment, with numerous hints and tips during the stay and when saying goodbye. The house is - as already described in the previous reviews of other guests - well equipped, comfortable and very cosy. The hosts have thought of everything, including what guests might secretly wish for at some point. This goes far beyond the usual standard in holiday flats. One can arrive with a suitcase of clothes and stay there, cook and bake like at home, wash and dry laundry, enjoy music, read, watch TV, videos and DVDs, play board and puzzle games ..
The information in the booking portal corresponds one hundred percent to the facts found. Nothing is embellished. Therefore, for further stays in Marburg, this is clearly our "first address".

Lovingly designed and exudes a lot of charm

Our stay at the Ferienhaus am Wald was wonderful and very cosy from start to finish. The Jeide couple is very accommodating and friendly and we felt very comfortable the entire time. The cottage is lovingly designed down to the smallest detail and exudes a lot of charm. You will find everything you need and even more. It is located right next to the forest and the town is easy and quick to reach. We would love to come back anytime and can only recommend a stay there

Wonderful family holiday

We stayed as a family (4 people) for a week at Landhaus Am Hirtzborn. The house is ideal for families as there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms (each with bath and shower as well as toilet). In the well-equipped kitchen you can cook and bake just like at home. Even a washing machine and dryer are available in the house free of charge. In addition, everywhere in the house and outside on the terrace is spacious, cosy and homely. You can start hiking directly from the house. The nearby climbing forest is within walking distance. A beautiful lake park with water skiing facilities is about 12 minutes away by car. And of course Marburg (especially the old town) has a lot of beautiful and interesting things to offer. Although we didn't use it in the nice weather, there are many books in German and English, numerous games, CDs, DVDs and audio plays to choose from. We can highly recommend the holiday home and its surroundings as well as Marburg, not to forget the nice and always helpful hosts.
