Description

Arriving in the large carport, you enter the house through a beautiful front garden.
The house has a large and fully equipped kitchen on the ground floor. Furthermore, a double bedroom and large bathroom and a gigantic living-dining room with oven and access to the terrace and garden.
On the upper floor there are another 5 bedrooms and a bathroom.
On 200 sqm of living space, the holiday home offers everything you could wish for.

Location and surroundings of object

The small fishing village of Langholz is located on the Schwansen peninsula between the idyllic towns of Eckernförde and Kappeln, where you can expect a wide range of shopping and leisure opportunities. There is also a wide range of cultural and leisure activities, especially in the summer season. The holiday home is about a five-minute walk from the sea and offers early risers a wonderful sunrise during a morning walk. On the Baltic Sea hiking and driving trail you can intensively experience the beauty of nature on individually adapted routes. The beach invites you to sunbathe and swim, but water sports enthusiasts and anglers also get their money's worth. In the municipality you can find megalithic graves, which indicate settlement in the Stone Age. Ludwigsburg Castle and the Waabser Marienkirche are also particularly worth seeing.

Super cool family vacation

We chose this spot for our first large family vacation with 8 adults and 5 children and felt completely comfortable. The house is really great and leaves almost nothing to be desired. The children were excited about their own small playground and the proximity to the beach is wonderful. The natural beach is quite rocky, but it is a paradise for little explorers and collectors of seashells, stone sea urchins, etc.

Practical accommodation with all-around carefree package :)

The house is ideal for larger family or friend groups. The equipment for communal dining, gathering, and everyday life is perfect. Nothing was missing. The kitchen is very well equipped. In the kitchen and living room, there is a large dining table each, where all of us (7 adults and 6 children) found a place. So, we could freely decide whether to eat all together in the kitchen or in the living room. There is a fireplace with an almost unlimited supply of firewood, a huge sofa area arranged around the fireplace, a large flat-screen TV, some board games, and a small playground behind the house. After consultation, a sufficient number of cribs and high chairs were provided for the numerous toddlers. Just great! The missing star in the equipment is, from our "family perspective," solely due to the lack of child safety measures on the stairs and floor-level outlets, and the absence of luxury amenities such as a sauna or similar. So, nothing significant. It should rather be 4.5 stars.
The missing star in the location category is attributed to the lack of shopping opportunities in the village of Waabs / Langholz. For all shopping, one must drive to Eckernförde, which is 13 km away. A vacation without a car is not recommended. Otherwise, the location is great if you like it a bit more secluded and close to the beach like us.
The house and garden are very clean and well-maintained, and the landlords were always available for any requests. We will gladly come back!

Christmas 2018

We were with 10 adults and a dog over Christmas in this very spacious and comfortable house. Absolutely nothing was missing. The house was decorated for Christmas, tastefully and lovingly. Nuts, candles, mulled wine, mandarins, everything was there. Mrs. Bülow is very, very service-friendly. All in all, our family really enjoyed it.

Family vacation of a special kind.

We have known the romantic fishing village of Langholz on the Baltic Sea since our childhood. Nowadays, the branches of our family scattered across Germany meet there in the north once a year.
The holiday home of the Witt family is our accommodation. Well furnished, with practical details like 2 bathrooms, a large kitchen with two kitchen blocks, and correspondingly large tables in the kitchen and dining room; lovingly decorated bedrooms. The outdoor facilities are also excellent and offer great opportunities for activities both in summer and in spring/fall (especially for children). The house is ideal for large families or several smaller groups, etc. Langholz itself is an idyllic former fishing village with natural beaches where you can really enjoy the healthy sea air. There are plenty of shopping opportunities, restaurants, and entertainment options within a radius of about 12 km (Baltic Sea resort Damp on one side; Eckernförde on the other side). We always like to come back there and enjoy the hospitality and the great house of the Witt family.

It doesn't get any better than this...!

One should be careful with words like perfect or sensational, but here it applies completely! The house is just perfect and you can tell in every room that the owners care about their guests. It is a very quiet area, but you can get everywhere you want to go very quickly. There is a super nice and quiet beach. The kids can relax and let off steam at the same time. The same goes for the adults and the house leaves nothing to be desired. We have never been as thrilled as we are here. There is no second chance for the first impression and the owners are obviously aware of this. There is simply EVERYTHING that promises a perfect holiday. This was definitely NOT our last holiday in this house and we are already looking forward to the next one! Price/performance is more than super here...!

wonderful family holiday

We spent a fantastically beautiful family holiday in the beautiful Langholz as an extended family (three generations) with dog. A big thank you to the Witt/Bülow family who welcomed us so warmly and also provided us with firewood and other goodies:-)! The house is totally super, 6 large and cosy bedrooms a great big living room with dining area and the kitchen a dream. The garden and the beautiful terrace with cosy furniture are just GREAT. The proximity to the sea is just great and the view from the terrace is also FANTASTIC.Our conclusion: We will definitely be back.

A wonderful vacation!

I can only agree with the words of Sabine R., the holiday home is great! We especially liked the large dining tables in the kitchen and living room, where we found enough space for all of us (11 people)! There were plenty of pots and pans, and the weekly shopping could easily be stored in the two fridges and the large storage room! We walked to the neighboring Klein Waabs to buy some rolls, which is still easily reachable for adults and children (>8 years) with a little over 2 km. The beach is indeed a bit rocky, but with water shoes (we even swam in October! ;-) ) or rubber boots, it is really nice! The bed linen and towel service is great! Thank you very much!

A beautiful house with sea view!

My family and I traveled to Langholz with 4 children and 7 adults. When we entered the house, we were all speechless! It is truly a beautiful house with great amenities (both outdoors and indoors). We felt very comfortable and lacked nothing. You live in a small village, I recommend coming by car as the nearest big supermarket is 15 minutes away. The beautiful city of Eckernförde is about 20 minutes away, where you can stroll and there is a nice beach. The beach in Langholz is about 4 minutes from the house, not the most beautiful beach as there are many stones, but it is still good. It was a nice week, and the landlords are super lovely! Again and again, just great.
